  • After passing through a magnetic field, the physical quality of water improves, and magnetic water (MW) is produced. There are many investigations on the effects of magnetic field on water that shows MW properties like saturation and memory effect. This study investigates the fresh and hardened properties of concrete mixed with MW, which contains silica fume (SF) and superplasticizer (SP). The test variables included the magnetic field intensity for producing MW (three kinds of water), SF content replaced cement (0 and 10 percent), water-to-cementitious materials ratio (W/CM=0.25, 0.35 and 0.45) and curing time (7, 28 and 90 days). The results of this study show that MW had a positive impact on the workability and compressive strength of concrete. By rising the intensity of the magnetic field which was used for producing MW, its positive influence on both workability and compressive strength improved. MW had greater positive impacts on samples containing SP that did not have SF. Moreover, the best compressive strength improvements of concrete achieved as W/CM ratio decreased.

  • The tempering and magnetic annealing are used to improve the soft magnetic properties such as initial permeability coercivity and core loss of the KM35F alloy. The first heat treatmentis performed at the temperature less than the curie temperature of the KM35F alloy to remove the thermal stress for few hours in nitrogen atmosphere. The second stage heat treatment is performed the magnetic annealing at $500{\sim}800^{\circ}C$ for few hours in nitrogen atmosphere, and then quenching to room temperature in absence of oxygen. Finally, magnetic properties of the thermally treated KM35F alloy are investigated for application as a soft magnetic material of the ISO solenoid valve core and plunger.

  • An electromagnetic properties in BiSrCaCuO superconductor were studied. In the measurement of current-voltage properties, the voltage was measured when applying an external magnetic field. The voltage continues to appear after the removal of the magnetic field. This phenomenon was considered as a nonvolatile magnetic effect. The voltage increased with the applied magnetic flux, but it became constant at about $10^{-2}$T. The appearance of the voltage was ascribed to the trapping of magnetic flux.

  • Magnetic properties of highly zinc-substituted manganese ferrites are discussed on the basis of cation distribution. High throughput neutron powder diffractometry indicates that the prepared samples possess a nearly normal spinel structure, where the substitution of nonmagnetic zinc ions mainly causes the dilution of magnetic ions in the A-sublattice and consequently affects bond-randomness in the B-sublattice. On the other hand, the estimated occupancy of manganese ions in the B site indicates that random anisotropy effects due to local Jahn-Teller distortions gradually weaken with the substitution. Bulk magnetometry indicates that the substitution smears the transition from a paramagnetic phase to a soft-magnetic phase. Furthermore, at lower temperatures, such a soft-magnetic phase is destabilized and a magnetic glassy state appears. These features of the magnetic properties of dilute spinel ferrites are discussed from the viewpoint of the above-mentioned various types of disorders.

  • In this study, magnetic properties of the strontium ferrite were theoretically investigated by Ab initio (first principle) method. The influences of various additives on the magnetic properties of the strontium ferrite were analyzed to designed new composition of the strontium ferrite system with high magnetic characteristics. As shown in the results, the total magnetization of the strontium ferrite was $42.55M_B$. Based on the DOS results, the magnetic characteristics of the strontium ferrite were mainly influenced by Fe atoms at 6 positions in the unit cell. Also the La-Mn strontium ferrite has the superior magnetic property than the Mn strontium ferrite.

  • The relationship between electrical properties of superconductor and externally allied magnetic field was studied to develop a magnetic field polarity sensor. The behavior was related to the magnetic flux trapped in the superconductor, which penetrates through the material by the external magnetic field. Electrical characteristics of the superconductor with trapped magnetic flux were extremely sensitive ta the external magnetic field and showed different responses depending on the direction of the magnetic field. Considering the observed properties of the superconductor with trapped magnetic flux, a magnetic sensor was fabricated to detect simultaneously both the intensity and the direction of the magnetic field.

  • Magnetically soft nanomaterials obtained by controlled crystallisation of metallic glasses are the newest group of materials for inductive components. In particular, research is carried out in the field of alloys for high temperature applications. This kind of materials must meet two basic requirements: good magnetic properties and stability of properties and structure. In the present work the magnetic properties and structure of Fe-Co-Hf-Zr-Cu-B (HIDTPERM-type) alloys were investigated, as well as their stability. Differential thermal analysis, (DTA), X-ray diffractometry (XRD), transmission electron microscopy (TEM), magnetometry (VSM) and quasistatic hysteresis loop recording were used to characterise structure and properties of the alloys investigated. Optimisation against properties and their stability was performed, resulting in formulation of chemical composition of the optimum alloy, as well as its heat treatment.

  • Selected chemical, physical, mechanical, and magnetic properties of magnetite, Co-${\gamma}-Fe_2O_3$, $CrO_2$ recording tapes were studied, under three sets of temperature and humidity conditions, to accelerate the tapes' aging. The results. obtained indicated that changes in temperature, huminity and magnetic properties were dependent. Changes in the magnetic properties can be used to predict the life expentancy of the information stored in the media. Together, all of these properties can be used to assess the overall storage characteristics of magnetitie, Co-${\gamma}-Fe_2O_3$, $CrO_2$ recording tapes.

  • The effect of Mo elenent and annealing condition on the magnetic properties were investigated in Fe$_{80}$B$_{12}$Si$_{8}$ amorphous alloy. With increasing Mo contents, soft magnetic properties were improved by decreasing coercive force and increasing maximum permeability. These improvements were attributed to the decreasing of magnetostriction by Mo addition. The annealing treatment also improved the soft magnetic properties of (Fe$_{1-x}$ Mo$_{x}$)$_{80}$ B$_{12}$ Si$_{8}$ amorphous alloys. It could be thought that these improvements were ascribed to the relaxation of internal stress.nal stress.ess.

  • It is well known for 410L ferritic stainless steel powder to applicate a sensor ring in anti-lock brake system of automobile, several studies, because of its excellent magnetic properties. This study was carried out In investigate the magnetic properties such as the maximum magnetic induction, coercivity and maximum permeability of the materials with functions of sintering density! time and temperature, and concluded as follows; 1. Sintering under the circumstances of hydrogen gas and tile temperature of $1250^{\circ}C$ for 60min. showed that nitrogen was increased, whereas carbon and oxygen decreased in quantities. 2. Both maximum magnetic induction value of 4700Gauss and permeability of 200 were obtained at the maximum sintering density of 6.89g/$cm^3$. Here, the properties showed a linear increasement with increasing the sintering density. 3. Coercivity sharply increased with incresing the sintering density and reached to 7.6Oe at the maximum sintering density of 6.89g/$cm^3$.
