  • In this research project, development of methodology to measure the thickness of pipes in the wide range using magnetic field. The magnetic field spreading in the sensor and the plate was modeled in the cases of the various thicknesses in plate. Based on the analysis, sensors were designed, manufactured and tested to optimize the specifications of the sensor. The sensor can be used in high temperature through calibration. And the uncertainty of the sensor was estimated.

  • In this paper, some parameters are studied for the performance improvement of a bulk optical magnetic-field sensor. The performance of optical magnetic-field sensor is influenced by optical intensity change and wavelength change of light source, and phase shift so called optical bias mismatch. A magnetic field measuring system based on optical Faraday sensor is implemented and tested in the current range from 10 ampere to 200 ampere. The test result shows implemented system has goof linearity.

CoZrNb막을 이용한 MI센서 소자의 제작 및 특성 (Fabrication and Properties of MI Sensor Device using CoZrNb Films)

  • Magneto-Impedance(MI) sensor is a highly sensitive sensor, which was able to detect a weak geomagnetic field. It also has a merit to be able to build in the low power system. In this study, their magnetic permeability and anisotropy field(H$\sub$k/) as a function of some different thickness of sputtered amorphous CoZrNb films with zero-magnetostriction and soft magnetic property are investigated. In order to make a uniaxial anisotropy, film was subjected to the post annealing in a static magnetic field with 1KOe intensity at 250, 300, and 320$^{\circ}C$ respectively for 2 hours. Magnetic properties of films are measured by using a M-H loop tracer. Magnetic permeability of a film is measured over the frequency range from 1 ㎒ to 750㎒. By thickening a CoZrNb film relatively, magnetic permeability and impedance are examine to design the. MI sensor which drives at 50㎒, and thereof fabricated the MI sensor which drives at the 50㎒.

  • 이 논문은 glass기판에 Insb를 진공증착시킨 Insb박막 자기 sensor에 대하여 연구한 것으로 Hall 효과를 이용하여 자계 및 온도에 대한 Hall전압의 의존성을 조사하엿다. 일정전류구동에서 자계데 대한 Hall전압의 변화는 거의 직선적이었으나 정전압구동에서는 직선성에서 벗어나는 것을 보였다. 주위 온도가 증가함에 따라 Hall 전압이 감소하였으며 InSb 증착막을 자기 sensor로 사용하는 경우, 온도 특성을 고려할 필요가 있다.

Metallic Crack Detections by Planar Inductive Coil Sensor Under AC and DC Magnetic Fields

  • To detect the surface and the opposite side cracks on iron specimen under AC and DC magnetic fields, the planar inductive coil sensors were employed. When the induced signals were measured, the planar inductive coil sensor and the magnetic field source were lifted off about 2 mm from the top surface of the specimen. AC magnetic fields and DC magnetic fields were applied to the specimens by single straight Cu coil and NdFeB permanent magnet, respectively. The detected signals at crack positions were good coincidence with those of the simulation results.

  • This dissertation is reference to measure visual information about the configuration of magnetic field automatically and materialize the new magnetic field mapping system for the rapid and clear measure by using of the mediocrity orthogonal robot in the three- dimensional space required the measure of magnetic field concurrently. The measuring sensor is composed to be available for the measure of three-dimensional direction of magnetic field by vertically conjoining each of three hall sensors utilized of the hall effect and installed Gaussmeter, which is devised to receive the sensor result and the robot controller, away from the measuring robot in order to minimize the affection of magnetic field. Also, the controller and Gaussmeter are composed of Use interface, RS-232C and IEEE-488.2 communication. Interface system is written in NI's LabVIEW and composed to be able to set up a measuring area, the measuring number of times, two and three-dimensional graph, the velocity of robot and the magnetic field distribution graph of each element by inputting parameters. The materialized magnetic field mapping system expert the collection of the data easily and the effect of utilizing data.

Hall probe를 이용한 비접촉 임계전류 측정 (Non-contact critical current measurement using hall probe)

  • Non-contact critical current measurement apparatus was developed using hall probe which measures the magnetic field distribution across the width of superconducting tape. The hall probe consists of 7 independent hall sensors which lie in a line 600 ${\mu}m$. The difference between maximum and minimum magnetic field in the magnetic filed distribution is a main parameter to determine the critical current. As preliminary research, we calculated the magnetic field intensity at the middle sensor, which is a minimum magnetic field and generated by the circular shielding current modeled by Bean model. We confirmed that there are some parameters that affect on the minimum magnetic field; the distance between superconducting layer and hall sensor, the width of superconducting tape, and the critical current distribution across the width of superconducting tape. Among these parameters, the distance between superconducting layer and hall sensor highly influences on the minimum magnetic field.

  • The design and performance verification of collocated capacitance sensor system for magnetic bearing is presented. Noncollocation between actuators and sensors may cause unstable rotor behavior. The capacitance sensor is not affected by magnetic field. PCB type capacitance sensor is installed between magnetic bearing polse. so, collocation of sensors and actuators can be achieved. Experiment of sensor's static and dynamic charactistics is conducted. Modeling of the rotor system supported by magnetic bearing is made. And performance comparison between simulation and experiment is showed.

자기장 센서를 이용한 웨어러블 조이스틱 장치의 개발 (Developing Wearable Joystick Device Using Magnetic Sensor)

  • 산업 전반에 걸쳐 자기장 센서에 대한 연구나 제품개발이 많이 진행되어져 왔다. 하지만 이런 제품의 단가를 낮추기 위해서는 초기 개발단계에서부터 자기장 필드와 자기장 센서의 특징과 최종제품의 특징들을 정확하게 이해하는 것이 중요하다. 특히, 자기장 필드는 비선형 데이터를 처리하는 계산이 복잡하여 실제로 사용하고 응용하기에는 매우 어렵기 때문에, 이렇게 측정된 자기장 센서값들을 정확하게 계산하기 위해서는 고가의 장비나 복잡한 알고리즘이 필요한 추세였다. 하지만, 본 논문에서는 기존 조이스틱의 특징을 이해한 상태에서 자기장 센서의 고유한 특성과 특징을 소개하면서, 자기장 센서를 사용하는 웨어러블 조이스틱을 개발하기에 적합하고 간단하면서도 기능을 충족하는 디자인 및 개발 방법들을 제시하였다. 특히, 기존 조이스틱의 기계적인 특징과 자기장 센서의 특성을 서로 잘 고려한 후에, 기존 조이스틱의 본질적인 문제인 기계적인 마모와 문제점들을 해결하고자 기계적 구성이나 선들이 필요없는 자기장 센서를 이용하여, 저가의 웨어러블 조이스틱 장치의 디자인 및 개발 할 수 있는 설계요소 및 방법들을 소개하였다. 본 논문의 개발결과로 실제 사용자 테스트를 수행하여, 본 논문의 장비를 처음 접하는 사용자들도 쉽게 이용하여 기존 조이스틱과 같이 정확하게 제어할 수 있음을 보였다.

  • The relationship between magnetic properties of BiPbSrCaCuO superconductor and externally applied magnetic field was studied to develop a magnetic field polarity sensor. The behavior was related to the magnetic flux trapped in the superconductor, which penetrates through the material by the external magnetic field. Some portion of the superconductor was changed to a normal state by the trapped magnetic flux. Electrical characteristics of the superconductor with trapped magnetic flux were extremely sensitive to the external magnetic field and showed different responses depending on the direction of the magnetic field.
