해석적인 방법을 이용한 Cogging Torque 저감을 위한 영구자석형 전동기 형상 설계 (Cogging Torque Reduction Design of Permanent Magnet Motor Using Analytical Method)

  • In this paper, an analytical method used for predicting the magnetic field distribution and cogging torque characteristic in a permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM) is presented. The magnetic field is analyzed with the space harmonic analysis, and the cogging torque is calculated based on the air-gap field distribution and slot-opening effect considered by relative permeance. The validity of the presented analytical method is confirmed by 2-dimensional finite element analysis (FEA). Then this analytical method combines with response surface methodology (RSM) is applied to the prototype PMSM model rebuilding in order to minimize the cogging torque. Finally, an optimized PMSM model is built and the cogging torque reduction is confirmed by FEA.

  • This paper deals with control parameters deduction and dynamic analysis of hybrid thrust magnetic bearing(HTMB). The flux density at air-gap is obtained from system modeling which considers permanent magnet and electro magnet. The vertical force is derived from flux density using maxwell's stress tensor. An accurate linear model is obtained by using linear approximations of the attraction force around the nominal equilibrium point. The dynamic simulation of the HTMB using the PD controller is conducted and control parameters are deducted.

  • By reason of variation magnetic field, cogging torque is generated. Cogging torque of Spoke type motor is bigger than other type permanent magnet motor. So, this paper presents a design notch on stator and variation rotor shape to reduce cogging torque of Spoke Type motor. Through Fourier formulation of magnetic field on air gap, we found position of notch. The validity of the proposed design is confirmed with FEM analysis method.

Presentation of a Novel E-Core Transverse-Flux Permanent Magnet Linear Motor and Its Magnetic Field Analysis Based on Schwarz-Christoffel Mapping Method

  • In order to overcome the manufacturing difficulty of the transverse-flux permanent magnet linear motor (TFPMLM) and enhance its performance much better, a novel TFPMLM with E-core and 3 dimension (3D) magnetic structures is proposed in this paper. Firstly, its basic structure and operating principle are presented. Then the equivalent 2D configuration of the TFPMLM is transformed, so that the Schwarz-Christoffel (SC) mapping method can be used to analyze the motor. Furthermore, the air gap flux density distribution is solved by SC mapping method, based on which, the EMF waveform, no-load cogging force waveform and load force waveform are obtained. Finally, the prototyped TLPMLM is manufactured and the results are obtained from the experiment and 3D FEM, respectively, which are used to compare with those from SC mapping method.

  • This paper describes a series of experiments to investigate the operational characteristics of a superconducting power supply with superconducting excitation coil. In this experiment, the superconducting excitation coil is introduced to control the pole-flex in the air gap of the machine. The operating current of the superconducting powder supply is designed to have the value of 300 [A] for the rotational speed of 600 rpm. Sensors installed on the Nb sheet yield the information on the spatial and temporal behaviors of the magnetic field in spot and on the characteristics of the superconducting power supply.

  • This paper deals with a moving coil type linear motor for fast access of the miniature ODD. This slim-line motor is composed of the mover supported by guide mechanism, the coil wound into it, and the yoke attached to the permanent magnet for stator. The driving force is generated by the PM of the stator and the current in the coil of the mover. Magnetic circuit analysis and Finite Element Method are applied to estimate force at air gap.   • In this study, we describe the effects of changing the magnet shape of permanent magnets (PMs) in a rotor Halbach-array PM generator for reciprocating free piston generator applications. More specifically, the rectangular-shaped magnets were replaced by the trapezoidal-shaped magnets. The initial design, an analytical magnetic field solution of rectangular shaped magnets, is presented and air-gap magnetic flux density and thrust force were estimated. The results were compared to the finite element analysis (FEA) showing excellent agreement. Using FEA, the effect of the shape of the magnets on the flux density and thrust force waveforms is analyzed. Moreover, the proportion of the Halbach array in the machine was optimized by the means of a parametric search. The results obtained from the analytical calculations and FEA were validated by comparing to those of Radial-array PM generator.

  • 본 논문에서는 자속 궤환을 포함하는 자기부상 시스템의 open-loop 특성에 대해서 다룬다. 훌륭한 외란 억제 특성을 포함하고 파라메타 변동에 대해서 둔감한 제어기를 설계하기 위해서 자속 궤환을 이용하는 것이 효과적일 수 있다. 적절한 센서에 의해서 측정 가능한 자속은 전류와 공극의 시간 변화에 대해서 선형적인 관계를 가지고 있으며, 자속의 궤한은 자기 부상시스템이 본질적으로 갖고 있는 전기적 엑츄에이터와 기계적 플랜트 사이의 간섭에 의해서 발생하는 비선형성을 감소시키는 역할을 한다. 모의시험 결과를 통해서 자속의 궤환이 자기부상 시스템의 부하변동에 대해서 Open-loop 성능 향상에 효과적임을 보인다.

  • This paper deals with the reduction of DC component of cogging toruqe by using the heat treatment of the stator core. The stator core is made of electrical steel sheared by the punching die. From the punching process, large mechanical stress at the edge of stator tooth induces significant plastic and elastic deformation and influences magnetic properties. Then, these phenomenon in the sheared region has influence on the magnetic unbalance in the air-gap of motor. This paper investigated the effect of the punching process on the magnetization process and the mechanical deformation and proposed the stress relief annealing method for the reduction of friction torque among one of motor characteristics.

  • Recently, there are a great many research for magnetic levitation(Maglev) system. Maglev system is eco-friendly used in a place that is not friction. But Maglev is system that inductance is changed according to air-gap, so this is unstable system. In this paper, we simulate 1 Maglev actuator Control and we do an experience on 4 Maglev actuator system control. however, we get a problem of 4 maglev actuator control, because Maglev is 3 DOF(Degree of Freedom). so we control average err of 2 Maglev actuator in the rear.
