We have constructed a car-borne magnetic exploration system, in which a car drags a non-magnetic cart on which a magnetometer is installed. In the total magnetic field measured as a vectorial sum in this system, are included the magnetic field generated by the car itself. This magnetic field, doing the role of a magnetic noise, should be eliminated. For this purpose, we have set up a measurement condition to get the same effect as if we have put the car in one point and thereafter measured the magnetic field around it. In this case, if there is any magnetically anomalous body in the area, we can consider all the remaining magnetic field to have been generated by the car itself, once the geomagnetic field eliminated. We tried to invert the magnetic field considered to have been generated by the car and succeeded to derive the magnetic moment and the direction of the induced and remanent magnetic field of the car respectively. Once the magnetic moment and the direction of the induced and remanent magnetic field have been calculated, the magnetic field generated by them in specific points can be directly and analytically calculated. This result can be used in the future to eliminate the magnetic field generated by the car itself doing the role of a magnetic noise during the procedure of reduction of the measured magnetic exploration data by the car-borne magnetic exploration system.
A blank test was done to calculatee the car itself's magnetic effect as noise and to eliminate it from the data set of total magnetic intensity(=magnetic flux density) exploration in a car-borne magnetic exploration system. To calculate the induced magnetic intensity(= magnetization) and the remanent magnetic intensity(= magnetization) of the car itself, we have installed the magnetometer on a fixed point and measured the magnetic intensity letting the car move around the magnetometer, and we have changed the data set into an analogous data set as if acquired in the condition that we have parked the car on the same fixed point and measured the magnetic intensity moving the magnetometer around the magnetometer. Through an inversion with the later data set as input, we have calculated the magnetic center and the magnetic moments of the induced magnetic intensity(= magnetization) and the remanent magnetic intensity(= magnetization) of the car itself with the two centers coincided because of some barriers of the inversion algorithm that we have used in this study. On the other hand, we have extracted the magnetic anomaly by reducing i. e. vectorially eliminating the induced magnetic intensity(= magnetization) and the remanent magnetic intensity(= magnetization) of the car itself calculated forwardly, from the magnetic exploration data set acquired by the car-borne magnetic exploration system.

It is an important task to construct a recycling society with a low damage on the environment in our century. Magnetic separation is expected to be applied for the industrial waste treatment as an important supporting technology. In the magnetic separation of dry condition, the cohesive force between particles is strong compared with that in the wet condition's magnetic separation. The use of high magnetic field by the superconducting magnet enhances the powder's magnetic substance capture ability of the magnetic separation. In this study, the POSCO's coolant sludge of hot rolled steel was used for the superconducting magnetic separation of dry condition. Cryo-cooled NB-Ti superconducting magnet with 100 mm room temperature bore and 600 mm of height was used for magnetic separator.
In this paper deals with behavior of the magnetic abrasive using Ba-Ferrite on polishing characteristics in a new internal finishing of STS304 pipe applying magnetic abrasive polishing. The magnetic abrasive using Ba-Ferrite grain WA used to resin bond fabricated low temperature. And Ba-Ferrite of magnetic abrasive powder fabricated that Ba-Ferrite was crused into 200 mesh. The previous research have made an experiment in the static state the movement of magnetic abrasive grain is nevertheless in the dynamic state. In this paper, We could have investigated into the changes of the movement of magnetic abrasive grain. In reference to this result, we could have made the experiment which is set under the condition of the magnetic flux density, polishing velocity according to the form of magnetic brush.

The magnetic fibrous polymeric oil filter for automotive was obtained by pneumoextrusion processing prepared from thermoplastic polymer(polyamide) containing magnetic particulate filer (Ba ferrite), and treated subsequently in a magnetic fields. Using an oil filter tester and particle quantifier, the dependence of filtrational characteristics of the magnetic oil filter on the parameters of mean pore sizes and magnetic properties were analyzed. Also experimental engine-bed test of oil filters was investigated. The magnetic fibrous polymeric filter was shown to possess a highly filtration efficiency in filtering the fine metal particles with increasing the magnetic force of filter element. In this study, we knew that efficiency of magnetic fibrous polymeric filter was dependent on the magnetic strength of the filter elements.

In this study, the control of the free surface deformation of a magnetic fluid for the change in electromagnetic force is discussed. The free surface of magnetic fluid is formed by the balance of surface force, gravity, pressure difference, magnetic normal pressure and magnetic body force. Magnetic fluid in characteristics of fluid adjusted to the opposite direction of the gravity direction. Thus, the device of a magnetic fluid proposed the complete zero-leakage sealing, oscillator for surface control, boundary layer control, MHD, flow control, flow using magnetic levitation system and surface actuator. This study show the deformation of surface rise due to the intensity of the magnetic field and possibility of two-dimensional control of magnetic fluid through the feedback data of hall sensor.

The efficiency of magnetic compass direction sensor and magnetic compass by the laboratory experiment for the apparatus of generating artificial magnetic force and the onboard experiment on the fishing boat of coastal pot at the outside of Pusan Namhang were investigated. The results showed that the bearing angle of magnetic compass direction sensor was coincided with that of magnetic compass. However, the performance of magnetic compasses was unsuitable under the ISO rule by the characteristic experiment of damping curve. Therefore, the use of autopilot system using magnetic compass direction sensor which is based on the magnetic compass needs the sufficient notice.

This paper suggests the selective ultra precision polishing techniques for micro die and mold parts using magnetic-assisted machining. Fabrication of magnetic abrasive particle and their polishing performance are key technology at ultra precision polishing process of micro parts. Conventional magnetic abrasives have disadvantages. which are missing of abrasive particle and inequality between magnetic particle and abrasive particle. So, bonded magnetic abrasive particles are fabricated by several method. For example, plasma melting and direct bonding. Ferrite and carbonyl iron powder are used as magnetic particle where silicon carbide and Al$_2$O$_3$ are abrasive particle. Developed particles are analyzed using measurement device such as SEM. Possibility of magnetic abrasive and polishing performance of this magnetic abrasive particles also have been investigated. After polishing, surface roughness of workpiece is reduced from 2.927 $\mu\textrm{m}$ Rmax to 0.453 $\mu\textrm{m}$ Rmax.

The sensor at liquid nitrogen temperature showed the increase of electrical resistance by applying magnetic field. Actually, the voltage drop across the sensor was changed from zero to a value more than $100\;{\mu}V$ by the applied magnetic field. The change of electrical resistance depended on magnetic field. The sensitivity of this sensor was $2.9\;{\Omega}/T$. The sensing limit was about $1.5{\times}10^{-5}\;T$. The increase of electrical resistance by the magnetic field was ascribed to a modification of the Josephson junctions due to the penetrating magnetic flux into the superconducting material. Considering the observed properties of the superconductor with trapped magnetic flux, a magnetic sensor was fabricated to detect simultaneously both the intensity and the direction of the magnetic field.
