Overview of Internet-based checking for machine tools with a variant CNC environment (서로 다른 CNC 환경을 갖는 공작기계의 인터넷 기반 점검)

  • This paper proposes Internet-based checking scheme for machine-tools with a variant CNC. Checking points defined in this research are classified into two categories such as structured point and operational point. The formal includes the vibration of bearing, temperature of spindle unit and another periodical management. And the latter includes oil checking, clamp locking/unlocking and machining on/off status. Through this research, for the global management of variant CNC machines interspersed with CAC and OAC in manufacturing system, the suitable environment for Internet-based checking of variant CNC machines was designed and the checking methods for CAC and OAC machines were compared with each other.

  • This study includes noise automatic inspection system for washing machine auto-transmission one of modern home necessary. We effort to find and certificate sound noisesource by sound power and sound intensity, and apply to frequency analysis in vibration related sound noise. Still more we have been studying to data acquisition and programming for MS VisualBasic version 5.0. System component is below. 1) Pentium PC for data acquisition. 2) DSO for noise acquisition. 3) S/W for comparison and decision. 4) I/F Board for data communication. Wave form data through the DSO are converting to ASCII code data. The ASCII code through binary converting S/W are to be decision fitness or the badness comparison S/W. Finally, we will making noise monitoring system and automatic inspection system.

  • The rattle noise is the most significant in many kinds of manual gearbox noises, which is generated at the idle stage of the engine operation. The main torsional vibration source of the driveline is the fluctuation of the engine torque. The gear rattle is impacts generating in the backlash of the free gear due to this torsional vibration. Many researchers reported the clutch torsional characteristic optimization method to reduce the idle gear rattle but only few of them give sufficient consideration to the system parameters like gear backlash, drag torque, system inertia, inertia distribution, engine torque fluctuation, idle engine rotation speed, and accessory load. This paper pays attention to the gear impact mechanism and system design parameters to reduce the idle gear rattle with computer simulation.

  • 본 논고에서는 Radial 및 Axial 하중을 동시에 받을 수 있고, 예압에 의해 주축강성을 증대시킬수 있으며, Ball수의 증가로 부하능력을 향상시킨 초정 밀.초고속용 Angular ball bearing을 조합 사용하고, 고속회전에 지금까지 개 발된 ball bearing 윤활방법 중 가장 효과적인 간헐적인 oil 공급과 air 압력 으로, 계속 ball을 냉각, 윤활시켜주는 air oil 윤활법의 채용과, 국내 공작기 계 제조회사들이 주로 사용하는 일본 FAMUC AC Spindle motor(FAMUC-H type : 8000-15000rpm)를 사용해서 초고속 주축의 최적 설계조건을 제시하기 위한 기초연구 단계로 MT40-12000rpm 급의 Machining center용 Cartridge type의 Spindle unit개발을 통해서 주축설계에 따른 문제점과 연구용 주축제작의 생산 기술적 문제점 및 진동특성을 검토 하고자 한다.

  • The styling of automobile wheels and their effect on vehicle appearance has increased in importance in recent years. The wheel designer has been given the task of insuring that a wheel design meets its engineering objectives without affecting the styling theme. The wheel and tire system is considered as a vehicle component whose dynamic modal information of the tire/wheel system are employed in the modal synthesis model of the vehicle. The vibration characteristics of a automobile wheel play an important role to judge a ride comfort and quality for a automobile. In this paper, the vibration characteristics of a Al-alloy and steel wheel for automobile are studied. Natural frequency, damping and mode shape are determined experimentally by frequency response function method. Results show that wheel material property, size and design are parameter for shift of natural frequency and damping.

  • The rotating machineries always generate harmonic frequencies of their own rotating speed, and increment of vibration amplitude affects to the equipments which connected to the vibrational source and causes industrial calamities. The life cycle of equipments can be extended and damages to the human beings could be prevented by identifying the cause of malfunctions through prediction of the increment of vibration and records of vibrational history. In this study, therefore, diagnostic expert algorithm for the centrifugal pump is developed by integrating fuzzy inference method and signal processing techniques. And the validity of the developed diagnostic system is examined via various computer simulations.

  • There are various noises generated by friction. Among the rest, eliminating squeal noise generated during braking is an important task for the improvement of vehicle passengers' comfort. The parameters affecting brake squeal noise are the material properties of the braking pad, the dynamic properties of the brake parts and the dimensions of the brake assemble etc. Also, the squeal noise changes its inherent form(i.e. its sound pressure level and its frequency) with the normal load and sliding speed. In this study, the characteristics of brake squeal noise generated by friction is analyzed experimentally. The experiment focused on the analysis of friction self-excited vibrationand squeal noise level. Friction self-excited vibration is caused by the dry friction between pads and rotor, and occurs as a function of their relative sliding speeds. And Friction self-excited vibration is raised the brake squeal noise.

  • Subharmonic resonances of order 1/2 of a continuous rotating shaft with distributed mass are discussed. The restoring force of the shaft exhibits geometric stiffening nonlinearity due to the extension of the shaft center line. It is assumed that a distributed lateral force, such as the gravity, acts on the rotor. The possibility of the occurrence of subharmonic resonances, the shapes of resonance curves, and internal resonance phenomena are investigate.

  • This paper describes a new technique for measurement of the displacement less than one-quarter of the wavelength of ultrasonic wave using ultrasonic pulse-echo method. The technique determines the displacement of a journal bearing from the amplitudes of the total reflected waves from the surface of journal inside the bearing. Vibration of journal bearing can be measured without using a very high frequency ultrasonic transduce over 100MHz which must be used in the conventional techniques for the precision measurement of a small displacement. The method also requires no inversion process to extract the thickness from the waveforms of the reflected waves, so that it makes possible on-line measurement of the vibration of journal bearing.

  • This paper present a study on the application of sound pressure and vibration signals to detect the presence of defects in a rolling element bearing using a statistical analysis method. The well established statistical parameters such as the crest factor and the distribution of moments including kurtosis and skewless are utilized in this study. In addition, other statistical parameters derived from the beta distribution function are also used. A comparison study on the performance of the different types of parameter used is also performed. The statistical analysis is used because of its simplicity and quick computation. Under ideal conditions, the statistical method can be used to identify the different types of defect present in the bearing. In addition, the results also reveal that there is no significant advantages in using the beta function parameters when compared to using kurtosis and the crest factor for detecting and identifying defects in rolling element bearings from both sound and vibration signals.
