  • This is a study on plate waste, management of the facilities and utensil, and for their hygenic management through the survey conducted at 106 enterprise located in Seoul institutional foodservice. Which were evenly divided into two groups; the white color and the blue color. The results are below: 1. Volume of food and menu were set in advance with no free choice. A campaign was launched to reduce food wastes. It was shown that free choice feeding was better in wastes reduction than none free choice feeding. 2. Hygenic management was relatively good in two groups. Machine and utensil usually sterilized by heating or disinfectant sterilization was performed at every using time or one time a day, but with no differentiation between two groups.

  • Recently, the requirement of healthier and more comfortable environment makes the zoning domain more details. However, it has limitation to satisfy the thermal comfort of an individual because of the effect of the heat generation from the OA machine and partitions in indoor room. In this paper, we certify the validity of task-ambient air-conditioning system that has been developed as a new concept of personal air-conditioning system, and specify design strategies for more efficient task-ambient air-conditioning system with a specification guided by indoor environmental characteristics analyzed through experiment data. In this experiment, we changed the temperature and the quantity of air-flow in task domain to understand characteristic behavior of the thermal environment and investigate the possibility of energy saving. The experiment result is that the environment of the task area depends on the condition of supply air, and though the airflow of the low temperature is supplied with the ambient area, the personal environment and the efficiency of energy saving are improved by controlling the temperature and the quantity of the air shot around the task domain.

  • Research in dam inflow prediction has actively explored the utilization of data-driven machine learning and deep learning (ML&DL) tools across diverse domains. Enhancing not just the inherent model performance but also accounting for model characteristics and preprocessing data are crucial elements for precise dam inflow prediction. Particularly, existing rainfall data, derived from snowfall amounts through heating facilities, introduces distortions in the correlation between snow accumulation and rainfall, especially in dam basins influenced by snow accumulation, such as Soyang Dam. This study focuses on the preprocessing of rainfall data essential for the application of ML&DL models in predicting dam inflow in basins affected by snow accumulation. This is vital to address phenomena like reduced outflow during winter due to low snowfall and increased outflow during spring despite minimal or no rain, both of which are physical occurrences. Three machine learning models (SVM, RF, LGBM) and two deep learning models (LSTM, TCN) were built by combining rainfall and inflow series. With optimal hyperparameter tuning, the appropriate model was selected, resulting in a high level of predictive performance with NSE ranging from 0.842 to 0.894. Moreover, to generate rainfall correction data considering snow accumulation, a simulated snow accumulation algorithm was developed. Applying this correction to machine learning and deep learning models yielded NSE values ranging from 0.841 to 0.896, indicating a similarly high level of predictive performance compared to the pre-snow accumulation application. Notably, during the snow accumulation period, adjusting rainfall during the training phase was observed to lead to a more accurate simulation of observed inflow when predicted. This underscores the importance of thoughtful data preprocessing, taking into account physical factors such as snowfall and snowmelt, in constructing data models.

THE EFFECT OF TEMPERATURE CHANGES ON THE PHYSICAL PROPERTIES OF POSTERIOR COMPOSITE RESINS (구치부용 복합 레진 가열시 물리적 성질의 변화에 관한 실험적 연구)

  • The purpose of this study was to examine the effect of temperature dependence of the behavior on the physical properties of posterior composite resins. Three light cure posterior composite resins (Heliomolar, Litefil-P, and P-50) and one chemical cure posterior composite resin (Bisfil-II) were used as experimental materials. Composite resin was placed in a cylindrical brass mold (2.5 mm high and 6.5 mm inside diameter) that was rested on a glass plate. Another flat glass was placed on top of the mold, and the plate was tightly clamped together. After the mold had been filled with the light cure composite material, the top surface was cured for 30 seconds with a light source. Chemical cure resin specimens were made in the same manner as above. Three hundreds and twenty composite resin specimens were constructed from the four composite materials. One hundred and sixty specimens of them were placed in a heater at $50^{\circ}C$, $75^{\circ}C$, $100^{\circ}C$, $125^{\circ}C$, $150^{\circ}C$, $175^{\circ}C$ and $200^{\circ}C$ for 5 minutes or 10 minutes respectively before compressive strengths were measured. Another one hundred and sixty specimens were tested for the diametral tensile strengths in the same way as above. They were randomly divided into eight groups according to the mode of heating methods as follows and stored in distilled water at $37^{\circ}C$ for 24 hours. Group $37^{\circ}C$ - specimens were stored at $37^{\circ}C$ in distilled water for 24 hours. Group $50^{\circ}C$ - specimens were heated at $50^{\circ}C$ after curing. Group $75^{\circ}C$ - specimens were heated at $75^{\circ}C$ after curing. Group $100^{\circ}C$ - specimens were heated at $100^{\circ}C$ after curing. Group $125^{\circ}C$ - specimens were heated at $125^{\circ}C$ after curing. Group $150^{\circ}C$ - specimens were heated at $150^{\circ}C$ after curing. Group $175^{\circ}C$ - specimens were heated at $175^{\circ}C$ after curing. Group $200^{\circ}C$ - specimens were heated at $200^{\circ}C$ after curing. Twenty specimens of each of four composite resins were respectively made by insertion of materials into same mold for examining the dimensional changes between before and after heating. The final eighty specimens were stored in distilled water at $37^{\circ}C$ for 24 hours before testing the dimensional changes. Compressive and diametral tensile strengths were measured crosshead speed 1mm/minute and 500Kg in full scale with a mechanical testing machine (DLC 500 Type, Shimadzu Co., Japan). Dimensional changes were determined by measuring the diametral changes of eighty specimens with micrometer (Mitutoyo Co., Japan). Results were as follows: 1. Diametral tensile strengths of specimens in all groups were increased with time heated compared with control group except for that in group $50^{\circ}C$ and the maximum diametral tensile strength was appeared in the specimen of Litefil-P heated for 10 minutes at $100^{\circ}C$. In heliomolar and P-50, it could be seen in the specimen heated for 10 minutes at $150^{\circ}C$, but in Bisfil-II, it could be found in the specimen heated for 5 minutes at $150^{\circ}C$. 2. Compressive strengths of specimens in all groups was tended to be also increased with time heated but that in group $50^{\circ}C$ and the maximum compressive strengths were showed in the same specimens conditioned as the diametral tensile strengths of four composite materials tested. 3. In Heliomolar, Litefil-P, and Bisfil-II, it was decreased in diameters of resin specimens between before heating and increased in diameters of resin specimens after storing in distilled water, but it was not in P-50. 4. There is little difference in diametral tensile strengths, compressive strengths, and dimensional changes followed by heating the resin specimens for 5 minutes and 10 minutes, but there is no statistical significances.

  • It is a trend to increase safekeeping properties in financial company as the world economy situation has been globalized and advanced. The development of a securable vault door resisting to malicious trespass is needed. Therefore, this study focuses on developing high performance concrete placed at the inside of the vault door, and all materials used in this study is easy to obtain in domestic considering economic competitiveness. The compressive strength over 170 MPa was targeted, and structurally strengthening was also planned in order to resist to over $3,000^{\circ}C$ heating by torch and extreme impact loading by hammer drilling machine. Several types of fibers and reinforcing structures were used in order to resist those external heating and loading. This purpose was required to satisfy UL 608 standard of a vault door. Consequently, the result from this study is expected to be applied to construction field of major facilities, which should guarantee the safety from an external attack such as terror.

Studies on the Rapid Plasma Reagin(RPR) Card Test for the Diagnosis of Syphilis (매독진단(梅毒診斷)을 위(爲)한 신속(迅速)한 혈장항체검사법(血漿抗體檢査法)에 관(關)한 연구(硏究))

  • For the effective control of Syphilis, many investigators have developed a more rapid, simple and economical screening serological test which is adequately sensitive and specific. To fulfill the requirements of a more rapid serologic test for syphlis, a substitute for the conventional serum specimen was needed since considerable time and labor are involved in the processing of blood to serum. Burdon suggested the use of plasma in the serologic tests for syphilis as a substitute for serum. He noticed that plasma was more sensitive than serum in the Kline and Kahn tests, and attributed this to the presence of more antibody-like substance, "reagin" in plasma than in serum. However, to make plasma sufficiently sensitive, it was necessary to inactivate plasma by heating at a temperature of $56^{\circ}C$ for about 30 minutes. Heating of plasma resulted in the precipitation of fibrinogen which made centrifugation necessary to obtain dear plasma. Since the chief disadvantage to the use of unheated plasma(or serum) was a reduction in sensitivity of results-which probably was due to a labile factor such as complement-Portnoy et al began to consider rapid chemical methods of inactivation of plasma(or serum). They experienced that choline chloirde was shown to be anticomplementary which suggested its use as an inactivating agent for unheated plasma(or serum). In 1959 Portnoy et al reported the Rapid Plasma Reagin(RPR) Test for syphilis which is a more rapid, economical and simple. But still this test has many disadvantages as a rapid performing, field and office procedure, because it requires the usual laboratory equipments such as centrifuge, rotating machine, microscope etc. To substitute these disadvantages of the RPR test, in 1962, Portnoy et al developed the Rapid Plasma Reagin(RPR) card test for syphilis, which has the following advantages: a) Simplicity and rapidity of performance, b) Requires no laboratory equipments, c) Stable antigen suspension, d) Adequate sensitivity and specificity. This RPR card test can be used as a rapidly performing and screening test in field investigation, outpatient clinics, small laboratories and hospitals doing limited syphilis serology, and predonor in blood bank. Private clinic which has limited laboratory equipment and technic for syphilis serology can also use this RPR card test as a tool in the rapid diagnosis of syphilis. It was thought that this RPR card test is a useful tool in Korea for private physician and mass survey for syphilis diagnosis. But Portnoy patented the reagents needed for the performing the RPR card test. Therefore authors developed newly the reagents and according to Portnoy's method evaluated the newly developed. RPR card test compared with the VDRL, Kolmer CF, and RPCF tests. The RPR card and VDRL tests were performed plasma and serum from the total 1,132 cases. Among these 1,131 cases, 521 were syphilis suspected laboratory specimens, and 611 were syphilis unsuspected healthy young men. After screening with these two tests, the RPR card and VDRL tests, reactive specimens to the above one or both tests were retested by the Kolmer CF and RPCF tests.

Studies on the Thermal Processing of Cooked Rice Packed in Retort Pouch (레토르트 파우치 미반(米飯)의 가열살균에 관한 연구)

  • A study was carried out to determine the optimal sterilization conditions of cooked rice packed in retort pouch and processed in a steam-air system retort. The cooked rice packed in retort pouch in various thickness (15, 20 and 25 mm) was processed at various heating temperature (110, 115 and $120^{\circ}C$) with $F_0$-value 6.0. In order to evaluate quality change during the thermal prosessing, C-values, based on z-value $33^{\circ}C$ and $F_0$ value 6.0, were also calculated at surface, center and mass average temperatures. Subsequent storage study revealed that the cooked rice packed in 15 mm thickness and processed at $120^{\circ}C$ with$F_0$-value 6.0 could be held without any spoilage and color change, when stored for 6 months at $38{\pm}1^{\circ}C$ under saturation humidity.

A Study on the Properties in Friction Weldability of Dissimilar Aluminum Alloys A2024-T6/ A6061-T6 (A2024-T6/ A6061-T6의 마찰용접 특성에 관한 연구)

  • This study deals with the friction welding of A2024- T6 to A6061- T6; The friction time was variable conditions under the conditions of spindle revolution of 2000rpm, friction pressure of 50MPa, upset pressure of 100MPa, and upset time of 5.0seconds. Under these conditions, the microstructure of weld interface, tensile fracture surface and mechanical tests were studied, of friction weld, and so the results were as follows. 1. When the friction time was 1.5seconds under the conditions, the maximum tensile strength of the friction weld happened to be 292MPa, which is $94.2\%$ of the base material's tensile strength(310MPa). At the same condition, the maximum shear strength was 2l2MPa, which is equivalent to $103\%$ of the base material's shear strength (205MPa). 2. At the same condition, the maximum vickers hardness was Hv 146 at A2024- T6 nearby weld interface, which is higher Hv3 than condition of the friction time 0.5seconds, and the maximum vickers hardness was Hvl20 from weld interface of A6061-T6, which is higher Hv28 then base material's. 3. The results of microstructure analysis show that the structures of two base materials have fractionized and rearranged along a column due to heating and axial force during friction, which has affected in raising hardness and tensile strength.

Characteristic Analysis and Fabrication of Bioceramic Scaffold using Mixing Ratios of TCP/HA by Fused Deposition Modeling (압출 적층 조형 기술을 이용한 TCP/HA 의 혼합비율에 따른 바이오 세라믹 인공지지체의 제작 및 특성 연구)

  • Tissue engineering is an emerging research field that has the potential to restore, regenerate and repair damaged bone tissue and organs. Tricalcium phosphate and hydroxyapatite biomaterials-based calcium phosphate are excellent materials that have both osteoconduction and biocompatibility for bone tissue regeneration. In this study, solution structures were successfully fabricated using a fused deposition modeling system based on deposition and heating devices. The morphology characteristics of the bioceramic scaffolds sintered at a temperature of $1,300^{\circ}C$ were analyzed by scanning electron microscopy. The effects of various blended TCP/HA ratio on the microstructure and shrinkage were studied. The mechanical properties of the scaffolds were measured using a compression testing machine from stress-strain curves on the crosshead velocity of 1 mm/min. The fabricated scaffolds were evaluated by cell proliferation tests of MG-63 cells. The results of this study suggest that the blended TCP(75 wt%)/HA(25 wt%) scaffold is an appropriate scaffold for bone tissue regeneration.

  • The study is diagnosis about fatigue failure phenomenon of heating coil spring (sup9) and heat treatment method that is used to crusher. Because more than 80~90% of damage announcement of breakdown of machine and construction is been caused in fatigue present state, fatigue failure became important leading person at design. Calculated design load is imposed repeatedly that fatigue breakdown is safe. Is phenomenon that change load is imposed in the construction continuously. Used coil spring applies heat 30minute by Quenching temperature $860^{\circ}C$ if see manufacturing process and temperature of gasoline of $50^{\circ}C$ keep after quench that know tempering a $460^{\circ}C$ 90minute a product be. If doto apply heat $950^{\circ}C$ material at rolling process historically before quenching, austenite formation clay pipe being done AGS(Austenite Grain Size) by 2.5~4 become. Apply heat quenching 30minute by $820^{\circ}C$ by improvement method and after quench that keep $50^{\circ}C$ in oil tempering if do $450^{\circ}C$, 90minute spring ideal formation sorbite formation of the river form and condition that satisfy most more than AGS 7 appeared. Also, we can secure authoritativeness through MT since shot peening processing.
