차세대 고속전철 저속영역에서의 센서리스 제어 (Sensorless control of the Next Generation High Speed Drive System in low speed region)

  • In this paper, a sensorless speed control system is designed for the next generation high speed railway at zero and low speed region. The applied vector control scheme is a maximum torque per ampere(MTPA) method to utilize reluctance torque of IPMSM. The designed sensorless control scheme is a rotating high frequency voltage signal injection method. To verify the designed system, a simulator for the vector controller and sensorless controller is implemented using Matlab/simulink.

  • The maximum output torque developed by the machine is dependent on the allowable current rating and maximum voltage that the inverter can supply to the machine. Therefore, to use the inverter capacity fully, it is desirable to use the control scheme considering the voltage and current limit condition, which can yield the maximum torque per ampere over the entire speed range. This controller is controlled speed and current using hybrid PI(HBPI) controller and estimation of speed using ANN. Also, this paper is proposed control of maximum torque per ampere(MTPA) of induction motor. This strategy is proposed which is simple in structure and has the honest goal of minimizing the stator current magnitude for given load torque. The performance of the proposed induction motor drive with maximum torque control using HBPI controller is verified by analysis results at dynamic operation conditions.

  • In this paper, a new approach for the SynRM(Synchronous Reluctance Motor) control which ensures producing MTPA(Maximum Torque per Ampere) over the entire field weakening region is presented. In addition, this paper presents a speed sensorless control scheme of SynRM using flux observer. Also, by adjusting the base speed for the field weakening operation according to the flux level, the current and voltage limit, the smooth and precise transition into the field weakening operation can be achieved. The validity of the proposed scheme is verified through simulation.

  • Newly proposed RG-MADS (Randomly Guided Mesh Adaptive Direct Search) has been applied to the optimal design of Interior Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor (IPMSM) which has the distinctive features of magnetic saturation. RG-MADS, advanced from classical MADS algorithm, has the superiority in computational time and reliable convergence accuracy to the optimal solution, thus it is appropriate to the optimal design of IPMSM coupled with time-consuming Finite Element Analysis (FEA), necessary to the nonlinear magnetic application for better accuracy. Effectiveness of RG-MADS has been verified through the well-known benchmark-functions beforehand. In addition, the proposed RG-MADS has been applied to the optimal design of IPMSM aiming at maximizing the Maximum Torque Per Ampere (MTPA), which is regarded as representative design goal of IPMSM.

  • 본 논문은 전기기계식제동장치(EMB : Electro Mechanical Brake, 이하 EMB)의 제동 압부력(clamping force) 제어방법과 제동시험장비(dynamo test equipment)를 활용한 제동성능 평가결과에 대하여 다룬다. EMB와 관련한 연구는 자동차 분야에서 대부분 수행되었으며, 다양한 제어방법에 대한 정적상태의 압부력 시험결과를 주로 다루고 있으나 본 논문은 동적상태에서의 성능평가를 수행하였다. EMB의 구동을 위해 3상 매입형 영구자석 동기전동기(IPMSM : Interior Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor, 이하 IPMSM)가 적용되었으며 유한요소법(FEM : Finite Element Method, 이하 FEM) 해석 소프트웨어인 JMAG을 통하여 설계 및 해석을 수행하였다. EMB의 압부력제어를 위해 전류제어, 속도제어 및 위치제어가 수행되었으며, 전류제어기는 단위전류당 최대토크제어(MTPA : Maximum Torque Per Ampere, 이하 MTPA)가 적용되었다. 제동성능평가는 공압식 제동장치의 비상제동 성능시험 절차와 동일한 방법으로 수행되었으며 시험장비에 설치된 고속철도차량의 차륜을 110 km/h, 230 km/h 및 300 km/h로 회전하는 상태에서 각각의 속도 조건에 따른 EMB의 제동 압부력을 인가하여 감속성능을 확인하였다. 최고속도(300 km/h) 상태에서 비상제동 시험결과는 73초의 시간이 소요되었으며 차세대고속철도차량(HEMU-430X)에 적용된 공압식 제동장치의 성능시험 결과와 비교를 통하여 제동소요 시간 및 감속패턴의 유사함 확인하였다.

SPMSM의 센서리스 V/f 운전 시 MTPA 제어 기법 (A MTPA Control Method for Sensorless V/f Operation of SPMSMs)

  • In this paper, a sensorless V/f control based on maximum torque per ampere (MTPA) operation for PMSMs is proposed. Given that the MTPA operation is not considered in the conventional sensorless V/f control, efficient PMSM drives cannot be achieved. Therefore, this paper proposes an improved technique based on the d-axis current control to enable the MTPA operation in the V/f control for PMSMs. A stabilization technique is also proposed to improve the dynamic characteristics and stability against load variation. The effectiveness of the proposed technique is verified by conducting experiments with a 250 W SPMSM for driving a blower.

  • This paper presents simple schemes used to estimate the initial rotor position and the d- and q-axis inductances for effective Maximum Torque per Ampere (MTPA) operation in a wind-power system using an IPMSM (Interior Permanent Magnet Synchronous Machine). An IPMSM essentially requires an exact coordinate transformation and accurate inductance values to use a reluctance torque caused by the saliency characteristic. In the proposed high-frequency voltage testing method, there is no voltage drop caused by the resistance and the electromotive force. The initial rotor position and the inductance can be measured through an analysis of the stator current without turning the rotor. The experimental results are presented in order to illustrate the feasibility of the proposed method.

  • This paper is about the development of 80[kW] IPMSM(Interior Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor) drive system for an electric vehicle. MTPA(Maximum Torque per Ampere) operation and flux-weakening operation for the optimal torque control of the IPMSM are presented. In this system, the torque control of the IPMSM is achieved by using the look-up table, which gives d- and q-aixs current references for the given torque command in the MTPA operation and flux-weakening operation regions. This look-up table is made by current injection tests, and from which the motor parameters are also estimated. The proposed system is verified by the experiment on the electric vehicle drive system, which consists of an 80[kW] IPMSM and an IGBT inverter.

Numerical Investigation on Permanent-Magnet Eddy Current Loss and Harmonic Iron Loss for PM Skewed IPMSM

  • This paper presents the characteristics of PM eddy current loss and harmonic iron loss for PM step-skewed Interior Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor (IPMSM) with concentrated windings and multi-layered PM under the running condition of maximum torque per ampere (MTPA) and flux-weakening control. In particular, PM eddy current loss and harmonic iron loss in IPMSM have been numerically computed with three-dimensional Finite Element Analysis (3D FEA), whereby IPMSM with concentrated windings and multi-layered PM has been designed to identify the optimized skew angle contributing to the reduced PM eddy current loss and torque ripples, while maintaining the required average torque. Furthermore, numerical investigation on PM eddy current loss and iron loss at MTPA and flux-weakening control has been carried-out in terms of PM step-skew.
