신규원전의 설계특성 기반 정비효과성감시 프로그램 개발 (Development of Maintenance Effectiveness Monitoring Program based on Design Characteristics for New Nuclear Power Plant)

  • Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power Co. (KHNP) has developed and implemented the maintenance effectiveness monitoring (MR) programs for the operating nuclear power plants. The MR program is developed by reflecting design characteristics of the operating nuclear power plants to monitor the plant performance for improving the safety and reliability. Recently, KHNP has built a new nuclear power plant, and developed the MR program to establish the advanced maintenance system by reflecting unique design characteristics based on the OPR1000 standard model. So, the MR program developed in this study has another characteristics in comparison with the OPR1000 standard model, and we will verify the suitability of the MR program through evaluating initial performance of the plant. The safety and reliability of the new plant will be improved by developing and implementing the MR program.

평면-비구면 2×2 fly-eye 렌즈형태의 2차 렌즈를 사용한 고효율의 좁은 배광각을 갖는 MR-16 램프 시리즈 제작 및 성능평가 (Fabrication and Performance Evaluation of MR-16 Lamp Series with Narrow Angular Distribution of Luminous Intensity Using an Aspherical Planar-convex 2×2 Fly-eye Lens Type)

  • 본 연구에서는 간편하고 빠른 사출성형을 위하여 한쪽이 평면인 비구면 형상을 갖는 단일 fly-eye 렌즈형태의 2차 렌즈를 사용하는 MR-16 램프 시리즈의 설계를 보고하고자 한다. 인테리어 조명용 할로겐 램프를 대체하기 위해 효율이 높고 좁은 배광각을 갖도록 MR-16 램프용 광학계를 설계하여 이를 제작하고 성능을 확인하였다. 광학설계용 소프트웨어는 ORA사의 CODE V와 LightTools를 사용하였다. 그 결과, 제작된 MR-16 램프의 배광각은 $22.4^{\circ}$, $31.1^{\circ}$, $37.3^{\circ}$, $59.9^{\circ}$였으며, 광효율은 각각 76.5 lm/W, 75.2 lm/W, 72.0 lm/W, 77.8 lm/W 이고, 복사 균제도 81%에서 발산각은 $3^{\circ}$, $15^{\circ}$, $22^{\circ}$, $49^{\circ}$이다. 그리고 제작된 MR-16 램프에 확산시트를 2차 렌즈와 LED사이에 확산 시트를 적용하여 황색 띠를 제거한 후의 배광각은 각각 $20.8^{\circ}$, $31.5^{\circ}$, $37.8^{\circ}$, $68.7^{\circ}$로 측정되었다. 실험적으로 2차 렌즈를 같은 렌즈 4개를 붙이는 형식으로 fly-eye 형태로 함으로써 설계 및 제작이 용이하며 배광각과 균일한 조도 분포를 갖는데 있어서 문제가 없다는 것을 알 수 있었다.

밸브 내장형 MR 실린더를 이용한 힘 제어에 관한 연구 (A study on the force control of MR cylinder with built-in valves)

  • A new MR cylinder with built-in valves using MR fluid (MR valve) is suggested and fabricated for fluid control systems. The MR fluid is a newly developed functional fluid whose obvious viscosity is controlled by the applied magnetic field intensity. The MR cylinder is composed of cylinder with small clearance and piston with electromagnet. The differential pressure is controlled by the applied magnetic field intensity. It has the characteristics of simple, compact and reliable structure. The size of MR cylinder and piston has ${\varphi}30mm{\times}300mm\;and\;{\varphi}28.5mm{\times}120mm$ in face size, respectively and 0.8mm in gap length. Through experiments, it was found that the differential pressure is controlled by the applied magnetic field intensity under little influence of the flow rate, which corresponds to a pressure control valve. The differential pressure of 0.47MPa and contact force of 320N were obtained with the input current of 1.5A. The rising time of force was 1.1s in step response of a manipulator using the MR cylinder. The effectiveness of the MR cylinder was also demonstrated through the force control.

반능동형 MR유체 마운트의 성능제어 (Control Performance for Semi-active Mount Featuring Magneto-Rheological Fluid)

  • In this paper, the semi active mount featuring Magneto rheological fluid(MR Fluid) is proposed. MR fluid is suspension of micro sized magnetizable particles in a fluid medium, and its apparent viscosity can be varied by the applied strength of magnetic field. When the controllable MR fluid is applied to mechanical devices, the devices provide simple, rapid response interfaces between electronic controls and mechanical systems. The MR fluid is applied in the conventional fluid mount for improving its performance of the mount's isolation effect. A appropriate size of the MR mount is designed and manufactured on the basis of Bingham model of MR fluid. In addition, the field dependent damping forces of MR mount are evaluated with respect to the input frequency variation.

Incorporating magneto-Rheological damper into riser tensioner system to restrict riser stroke in moderate-size semisubmersibles

  • In case of conventional shallow-draft semisubmersibles, unacceptably large riser stroke was the restricting factor for dry-tree-riser-semisubmersible development. Many attempts to address this issue have focused on using larger draft and size with extra heave-damping plates, which results in a huge cost increase. The objective of this paper is to investigate an alternative solution by improving riser systems through the implementation of a magneto-rheological damper (MR Damper) so that it can be used with moderate-size/draft semisubmersibles. In this regard, MR-damper riser systems and connections are numerically modeled so that they can couple with hull-mooring time-domain simulations. The simulation results show that the moderate-size semisubmersible with MR damper system can be used with conventional dry-tree pneumatic tensioners by effectively reducing stroke-distance even in the most severe (1000-yr) storm environments. Furthermore, the damping level of the MR damper can be controlled to best fit target cases by changing input electric currents. The reduction in stroke allows smaller topside deck spacing, which in turn leads to smaller deck and hull. As the penalty of reducing riser stroke by MR damper, the force on the MR-damper can significantly be increased, which requires applying optimal electric currents.

  • During the screening of inhibitors of melanin biosynthesis from microbial secondary metabolites, a fungal strain MR-93 which was capable of producing high level of an inhibitor was selected from plant leaf. Based on taxonomic studies, the fungus could be classified as a strain of Trichoderma sp.. The active compound (MR-93D) was purified from the culture broth by Diaion HP-20 column chromatography, ethylacetate extraction, Sephadex LH-20 column chromatography and HPLC. The inhibitor was identified as 4-hydroxy-8-isocyano-l-oxaspiro[4-4]cyclonon-8-en-2- one by spectroscopic methods of UV, $^{1}$H-NMR, ESIMS and IR. MR-93D showed a strong tyrosinase inhibitory activity with 0.03 $\mu$g/m of IC$_{50}$ value. It also inhibited melanin biosynthesis with 35 mm inhibition zone at 30 $\mu$g/paper disc in Streptomyces bikiniensis, a bacterium used as an indicator organism in this work.

자기유변유체 댐퍼를 이용한 운전석의 진동감쇠에 대한 연구 (A Study on The Vibration Reduction of a Driver Seat Controlling an MR Fluid Damper)

  • A seat suspension system with a controlled MR(Magneto Rheological) fluid damper is introduced to improve the ride quality and prevent the health risk of a driver compared to fixed seats. The system is located between a seat cushion and the base, and is composed of a spring, MR fluid damper and controller. The MR fluid damper designed in valve mode is capable of producing a wide range of damping force according to applied currents. In experiments, a person was sitting on the controlled seat excited by a hydraulic system The skyhook control, continuous skyhook control and relative displacement control were applied and the continuous skyhook control improved the vibration suppression by 36.6%.

동작 MR 영상에서 비강체 정합과 감산 기법을 이용한 자동 전립선 분할 기법 (Automatic prostate segmentation method on dynamic MR images using non-rigid registration and subtraction method)

  • 본 논문에서는 동적 자기 공명 영상에서 자동 전립선 분할 기법을 제안한다. 제안 기법은 평균 밝기값 분석을 통하여 동적 MR 영상들 중에서 전립선 영역이 조영증강이 잘 된 영상을 찾는다. 다음으로 조영전 MR 영상과 조영증강된 MR 영상을 B-스플라인 비강체 정합 기법으로 매칭 후 감산하여 전립선 후보 영역을 검출한다. 마지막으로 외부 방향으로 확장 연산을 수행한 후 내부 방향으로 연속적인 형태 전파를 수행하여 전립선 경계를 검출한다. 10명의 환자 데이터에 대하여 제안 기법으로 분할한 결과와 수작업으로 분할한 결과를 비교하여 정확성을 검증하였다. 평균 볼륨 오버랩 오차는 6.8%였고, 평균 절대값 볼륨 측정 오차는 2.5%였다. 제안 기법은 정확한 전립선 분할을 필요로 하는 컴퓨터 보조 전립선 진단 기법에 사용될 수 있다.

Through experiments on the static characteristics, it is found that the differential pressure is controlled by the applied magnetic field intensity under little influence of the flow rate, which corresponds to a pressure control valve. Effectiveness of the MR cylinder is demonstrated through the position control of one link MR manipulator.
