Photovoltaic Multi-string PCS with a Grid-connection (계통연계형 멀티스트링 태양광 발전 시스템)

  • In this paper, a PV multi-string PCS with a grid-connection is proposed. An improved MPPT algorithm for the PV multi-string PCS is suggested. Each PV string has its own MPP tracker and the proposed MPPT algorithm prevents LMPP tracking due to power ripple. In the PV PCS with single-phase inverter has a large current ripple at twice the grid frequency. The current ripple reduction algorithm without external component is suggested. Also, this paper proposes a simple control method to achieve sharing of the PV string voltage and current among the interleaved parallel boost converters. All algorithms and controllers are implemented on a single-chip microcontroller. Experimental results obtained on a 3kW prototype show high performance of the proposed PV multi-string PCS.

  • PV(Photovoltaic) cell의 출력 전력은 일사량이나 온도와 같은 외부환경의 영향을 받아 변화하게 되므로 PV cell은 전압과 전력의 출력에 있어 비선형적이다. 이와 같은 비선형적 관계로 인해 MPPT(Maximum Power Point Tracking)를 수행하는 것이 PV 시스템에서는 매우 중요하다. 본 논문에서는 PV의 전력-전압 출력 특성에서 MPP를 기준으로 양쪽 경사면의 기울기와 Section의 차이를 이용한 새로운 추종법을 제안하였다. P-V 특성 곡선에서 왼쪽 측면에 비해 오른쪽 측면이 큰 기울기를 갖는 동시에 좁은 Section을 가지므로 제안하는 알고리즘은 이러한 특성을 활용한다. 또한 EMTP를 이용하여 제안된 기법의 성능과 동작을 검증하였다.

So variation weather we can use Maximum Power Point Tracing device for solar PV system. In this paper, New MPPT method is proposed to tracking MPP at low and high insolation by combining constant voltage method with Newton Method method.

  • 내용기반의 이미지 검색방법은 객체의 내부의 정보를 이용한 검색방법으로 색상, 모양, 질감과 같은 특징을 사용한다. 이러한 특징 중에 모양은 검색에 사용될 수 있는 점을 추출하여 유사도 계산에 사용한다. 유사도 계산은 점의 개수가 증가할수록 검색의 응답시간도 함께 증가한다는 문제점이 있다. 본 논문은 응답시간 향상을 위하여 특징점들에 대한 그리드 기반의 유사도 매칭 기법을 제안한다. 그리드 기반의 유사도 매칭 기법은 점들을 그리드로 나누어 검색의 범위를 좁힘으로써 매칭하는 횟수를 줄이는 방법이다. 특징점으로 사용된 점들은 이미지의 선으로부터 MPP(Minimum Perimeter Polygons) 알고리즘으로 추출하였으며, 특징 점들간의 거리값의 합을 유사도로 계산하였다. 실험에서는 400여개의 식물 잎 이미지로부터 점들을 추출하여 검색 시간을 비교하였다.

  • This paper proposes a novel maximum power point tracking(MPPT) control algorithm considering insolation to improve efficiency of PV system. The proposed algorithm is composed perturb and observe(P&O) method and constant voltage(CV) method. P&O method is simple to realize and CV method is possible to tracking MPP with low insolation. Response characteristics of proposed algorithm is compared to conventional P&O method with insolation variation. This paper proves the validity of proposed algorithm through the analysis result.

  • In general, the output voltage level of a PV array varies widely at various irradiances and temperatures. The MPP (Maximum Power Point) range of a medium- or high-power PV PCS is normally 450~830Vdc or 300~600Vdc. This means the PV PCS should operate in a wide range of modulation indexes. The PV PCS should satisfy the harmonic current requirement that the TDD (Total demand distortion) shall not exceed 5%. This paper proposes a new PWM control method for a medium- or high-power PV PCS which increases the efficiency of power conversion in all operation ranges with acceptable harmonic ripple currents. This paper compares and analyzes appropriate PWM schemes for the PV PCS in the view points of conversion efficiency and current harmonics.

  • This paper analyzes a operating characteristic for maximum power point tracking (MPPT) of photovoltaic generation system. MPPT methods are used to maximize PV array output power by tracking maximum power point(MPP) continuously. To increase the output efficiency of PV system, it is important to have more efficient MPPT. MPPT algorithm is widely used the control method such as the perturbation and observation(PO) method, incremental conductance(IC) method and constant voltage(CV) method. In case of the radiation is changed, this paper proposes a response characteristic with MPPT control algorithms. Also, it proposes the direct for a novel MPPT control algorithm development through the analyzed data, hereby proves the effectiveness of this paper.
