  • CMA-DD is proposed to improve the steady-state performance of CMA and its performance is depending on switching time between two modes of operation. Castro et al. who proposed a concurrent equalizer for solving problem of CMA-DD, which reduced the sensibility of switching time. However, concurrent algorithm has a problem that it keeps working after convergence. In this paper, we propose concurrent MCMA-DD equalizer combined modified CMA(MCMA) and DD mode for making better concurrent algorithm. The proposed equalizer is better than previous algorithm in convergence speed and steady-state performance. Also, the proposed algorithm decides optimum switching time using residual ISI of the equalizer output.

  • The MCMA adaptive blind equalization algorithm has a excellent phase correction capabilities in addition to channel amplitude equalization, but has an inevitable error by mismatching between the original constellation points in arriving at the perfect equalization since unique new type constellation points are used as desired response instead of original constellation points and follows the slow convergence speed of CMA. In this paper, We propose an adaptive blind equalization algorithm with dual-mode, which has decision regions. Inside the decision regions, it operates as considering the moudlus of original data symbol point and outside the decision region, it operates as considerin gthe modulus of new constellation points. The proposed algorithm has a lower error in the steady state and rapid convergence speed toward steady state using the original data symbol points instead of new constellation points in the decision regions. From computer simulation, we confirm that the propposed algorithm has the performance superiority in residual ISI, convergence speed compared with the cnventional adaptive blind equalization algorithms, CMA, MCMA, Stop-and-Go algorithm.

  • We propose a robust blind equalization algorithm based on dual-mode algorithm which incorporates a stop-and-go technique. The constant modulus algorithm(CMA) exhibits very slow convergence when applied to QAM signals and generates phase error. We show that convergence properties of the dual-mode MCMA can be significantly improved by simply adding a stop-and-go technique. To speed up the convergence rate, the TMA-MCMA operates in triple mode that is based on the dual-mode of the MCMA incorporated with the tap-updating control modes of the SGA.

  • An abnormal decrease in ozonesonde sensor signal occurred during air-pollution study campaigns in November 2011 and March 2012 in Mexico City Metropolitan Area (MCMA). Sharp drops in sensor signal around 5 km above sea level and above were observed in November 2011, and a reduction of signal over a broad range of altitude was observed in the convective boundary layer in March 2012. Circumstantial evidence indicated that $SO_2$ gas interfered with the electrochemical concentration cell (ECC) ozone sensors in the ozonesonde and that this interference was the cause of the reduced sensor signal output. The sharp drops in November 2011 were attributed to the $SO_2$ plume from Popocat$\acute{e}$petl volcano southeast of MCMA. Experiments on the response of the ECC sensor to representative atmospheric trace gases showed that only $SO_2$ could cause the observed abrupt drops in sensor signal. The vertical profile of the plume reproduced by a Lagrangian particle diffusion simulation supported this finding. A near-ground reduction in the sensor signal in March 2012 was attributed to an $SO_2$ plume from the Tula industrial complex north-west of MCMA. Before and at the time of ozonesonde launch, intermittent high $SO_2$ concentrations were recorded at ground-level monitoring stations north of MCMA. The difference between the $O_3$ concentration measured by the ozonesonde and that recorded by a UV-based $O_3$ monitor was consistent with the $SO_2$ concentration recorded by a UV-based monitor on the ground. The vertical profiles of the plumes estimated by Lagrangian particle diffusion simulation agreed fairly well with the observed profile. Statistical analysis of the wind field in MCMA revealed that the effect Popocat$\acute{e}$petl was most likely to have occurred from June to October, whereas the effect of the industries north of MCMA, including the Tula complex, was predicted to occur throughout the year.

  • Adaptive channel equalization accomplished without resorting to a training sequence is known as blind equalization. The Constant Modulus Algorithm(CMA) and Modified CMA(MCMA) are widely referenced algorithms for blind equalization of a QAM system. This paper proposes a hybrid scheme of CMA and MCMA with Carrier Recovery that is robust for high level QAM with low steady state tracking error.

  • In this paper, the concerned CMA (Constant Modulus Algorithm) adaptive equalizer convergence rate and residual inter-symbol interference using cost function in order to improved to the ACMA (Advanced CMA). The CMA method compensates amplitude but does not compensate phase. On the other hand, The RCA (Reduced Constellation Algorithm) method compensates both the amplitude and the phase but it has the convergence rate problem. MCMA method is a way to solve the phase problem of CMA method compensates both the amplitude and the phase after respectively calculating the real and imaginary components. But it is more than poor CMA method in the complexity of hardware and the compensation performance. The cost function can advantages by improving the CMA and a MCMA (Modified CMA) equalizer so that the amplitude and phase retrieval the equalization steady-state to reduce the error by using ISI and faster convergence rate and performance is good SER (Symbol Error Ratio) was confirmed by computer simulations.

  • This paper related with the ECMA (Enchanced CMA) algorithm performance which is possible to simultaneously compensation of the amplitude and phase by appling the minimum disturbance techniques in the CMA adatpve equalizer. The ECMA can improving the gradient noise amplification problem, stability and roburstness performance by the minimum disturbance technique that is the minimization of the equalizer tap weight variation in the point of squared euclidiean norm and the decision directed mode, and then the now cost function were proposed in order to simultaneouly compensation of amplitude and phase of the received signal with the minimum increment of computational operations. The performance of ECMA algorithm was compared to present MCMA by the computer simulation. For proving the performance, the recovered signal constellation that is the output of equalizer output signal and the residual isi and Maximum Distortion charateristic and MSE learning curve that are presents the convergence performance in the equalizer and the overall frequency transfer function of channel and equalizer were used. As a result of computer simulation, the ECMA has more better compensation capability of amplitude and phase in the recovered constellation, and the convergence time of adaptive equalization has improved compared to the MCMA.

  • It is well known that the constant modulus algorithm (CMA) presents a large steady-state mean-square error (MSE) for high-order quadrature amplitude modulation (QAM) signals. In this paper, we propose a low-complexity hybrid adaptive blind equalization algorithm, which augments the CMA error function with a novel constellation matched error (CME) term. The most attractive advantage of the proposed algorithm is that it is computationally simpler than concurrent CMA and soft decision-directed (SDD) scheme (CMA+SDD), and modified CMA (MCMA), while the approximation of steady-state MSE of the proposed algorithm is same with CMA+SDD, and lower than MCMA. Extensive simulations demonstrate the performance of the proposed algorithm.
