A Study on Residential Evaluation & Remodeling Preference Characterisitics with the Personality Type(II) (성격 유형에 따른 주거평가 및 리모델링 선호특성에 관한 연구(II))

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze the relationship between the personality type and the residential evaluation & remodeling preference in interior finishes and floor layouts. The subjects of this investigation were collected through questionnaire from two hundred and twelve adult residents who live in Seoul, Korea. By using the rotated component matrix of varimax method & the one way anova method of spss for windows Rel. 11.0 in my former study, there are analyzed several significances in eight personality types; E(extraversion), I(introversion), S(sensing), N(intuition), T(thinking), F(feeling), J(judging) and P(perceiving) in MBTI (Myers Briggs Type Indicator). This study shows that actual floor plans, remodeling preference plans & interior finishes materials of each personality type was analyzed several significances by Chi-Square. As results, during consulting the client in the residential projects, personality test may take precedence over everything else, and then designer can consider it for hidden client needs in the residential interiors & remodelings. Designers might understand the nature of personality in order to design wisely for clients. This method will allow the designer & consultant to more fully understand clients' preference.

  • This paper tried to research a field employee's character, its correlation to service attitude and its impact on service using MBTI characteristics functional indicators, working at airline customer service center. It is proved employees with Sensing Feeing(SF), Intuition Feeling(NF) and Intuition Thinking(NT) have showed lower satisfaction on their duty than employees with Sensing Thinking(ST) have. In analysis of MBTI characteristics' impact on organization-related characteristics, it is also found out employees with Sensing Feeing(SF) and Intuition Feeling(NF) have showed lower trust than employees with Sensing Thinking(ST) have. Considering other controled factors, this paper found that the more job satisfaction employees have, employees with 1 to 5 years of experience on their duty showed more significant service-focused attitude. Moreover, deputy directors or high-ranked people with the higher job satisfaction were seemed to be more service-oriented.

In-Depth Relationships between Emotional Intelligence and Personality Traits in Meditation Practitioners

  • Objective: Meditation can elicit trait-like changes in psychological and social styles, as well as enhancement of emotional regulatory capacity. We investigated the relation between personality traits and emotional intelligence in meditation practitioners. Methods: Seventy-two long-term practitioners of mind-body training (MBT) and 62 healthy comparative individuals participated in the study. The participants completed emotional intelligence questionnaires and the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI). Results: The MBT group revealed higher scores on all five emotional intelligence factors than did those in the control group, such as emotional awareness and expression, empathy, emotional thinking, emotional application, and emotional regulation (all $p{\leq}0.001$). MBT practitioners also had higher scores on the intuition of perceiving function (t=-2.635, p=0.010) and on the feeling of the judging function (t=-3.340, p=0.001) of the MBTI compared with those in the control group. Only the MBT group showed a robust relationship with every factor of emotional intelligence and MBTI-defined intuitive styles, indicating that higher scores of emotional intelligence were related to higher scores for intuition. Conclusion: Emotional intelligence of meditation practitioners showed notable relationships with some features of personality trait. In-depth associations between emotional intelligence and personality traits would help to foster psychological functions in meditation practitioners.

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of small group collaboration learning program through MBTI on interpersonal relationship and career identity of nursing college students. 30 experimental group and 30 control group, nursing students were randomly assigned 2nd grade nursing students were selected from nursing program of T university in Daegu, Korea. The 30 experimental group students received small group collaboration learning program through MBTI for 30 hours(2 times in a week for 15 weeks). Measures were MBTI test, interpersonal relationships and career identity scale. The data were analyzed with SPSS Win 17.0 program, chi-square test, t-test. The experimental group which received small group collaboration learning program through MBTI will have a higher level of interpersonal relationships and career identity change score than the control group.

A Study on the Associations between Lee Je-Ma Sasang Constitutions and C. G. Jung's Psychological Types (이제마의 사상체질과 융의 심리학적 유형간의 연관성에 관한 연구)

  • The purpose of this study was to identify the associations between Lee Je-ma Sasang Constitutions and C. G. Jung's Psychological Types. In addition, this information could also be valuable in clinical practices. The QSCC II(Questionnaire for Sasang Constitution Classification II) and MBTI(Myers-Briggs Type Indicator) was administered to 319 volunteer male soldiers($21.5{\pm}1.4yr$) in the army. The results were as follows; 1) Soyangin groups tended to be extroverted, sensing, perceiving types. 2) Soeumin groups tended to be introverted, sensing, thinking, perceiving types. 3) Taeumin groups tended to be extroverted, sensing, thinking types. 4) but, there were no Taeyang groups according to QSCC II. This results show that there are significant relationships between Lee Je-ma sasang constitutions and C. G. Jung's psychological types.

  • 건물의 평면 디자인이나 도로의 디자인과 같은, 보행자를 고려해야 하는 디자인 혹은 그와 유사한 문제의 최적화를 위해서 군중 시뮬레이션이 필요한 경우가 있다. 이때 보행자 에이전트에 대한 모델이 필요하며 에이전트 디자인을 얼마나 신중하게 하느냐가 군중시뮬레이션의 결과에 많은 영향을 미친다. 기존의 보행자 모델은 에이전트로 하여금 이성적 행동을 하도록 하는 데에 초점이 맞추어져 있었다. 하지만 사람은 심리경향을 갖고 있으며, 이를 고려한 보행자 모델은 좀 더 현실과 가까운 군중 시뮬레이션이 가능하도록 해 준다. 본 논문에서는 MBTI(Myers-Briggs Type Indicator)의 척도 중 하나인 외향과 내향 척도를 기존의 보행자 모델에 적용시켰다. 외향과 내향을 하나의 변수로 보고 그에 따른 행동 패턴의 결정에 대한 함수를 만들었다. 그리고 이 모델을 사용하여 2 차원의 군중시뮬레이션을 해 보았다. 이 시뮬레이션은 출구를 가지고 있는 평면구조를 사용하여 위급한 상황일 때를 가정하여 에이전트들이 출구로 빠져나가도록 하는 것이다.

Personality types of medical students and their satisfaction with major and student life (의과대학생의 성격유형과 전공 및 대학생활 만족도)

  • Objective: The goal of this study was to investigate personality preferences of medical students and to examine the relationship between personality profiles and their satisfaction with major and student life. Methods : The MBTI (Myers-Briggs Type Indicator), which measures personality preferences, was administered by medical students (n = 94) who began to qualify from the Yonsei University College of Medicine in 2007. The resulting personality profiles of the medical students were correlated with scores of the satisfaction with major and student life Results: First, there were more preference types of Introversion(61.71%), Sensing(67.66%), Thinking(73.41%) and Judging(61.71%) than Extraversion (38.29%), Intuition (22.34%), Feeling (26.59%) and Perception(38.29%), Most medical students are personality type ISTJ(24.21%), followed by ESTJ(17.02%), Second, students with the preference for Extraversion and Intuition were more satisfied with their major and student life. Third, the preference for Judging showed higher scores in the satisfaction with major. Conclusions: This study might give implications for the psychological wellbeing and successful studying of medical students.

  • As a part of "The method of suitable design for resident," the purpose of this study is to figure out the resident aptitude of client through "Saju-Myungrihak" more effectively and precisely. That is, the study is to find out the relations between individual character and environmental interior tendency through experimentingss to make Images based on one's individual inherent aptitude and character. For all these reasons, we proudly launch to develop the interior design program based on emotional inherent-aptitude technology for our clients with applying Nakamitch Mizuo's emotional technology thesis "the Expert System."   • 본 논문에서는 웹기반 실시간 온라인 토론에서 집단구성을 내향성 집단, 외향성 집단 내향성/외향성 혼합집단으로 분류하고 집단구성방식이 토론 내용에 어떤 영향을 미치는지 연구하였다. 이를 위하여 학습자를 대상으로 MBTI(Myers Briggs Type Indicator) 성격유형 검사를 실시하고 온라인 토론을 수행한 후, 토론 내용을 Henri의 메시지 분석 모친에 기초한 지표를 기준으로 각 차원별 의미단위로 분석하였다. 그 차원들 중 사회적 차원과 상호작용적 차원을 토론 내용의 상호의존성으로, 인지적 차원과 메타 인지적 차원을 토론 내용의 과제관련성으로 범주화하였다. 실험 결과에 따르면 토론 내용의 총 의미단위 수, 상호의존성, 과세관련성 모두에서 이질적으로 구성된 내향성/외향성 혼합집단이 가장 긍정적인 영향을 미친 것을 확인하였다.

A Study on Cognitive Attitudes toward Death according to MBTI Personality Types (MBTI 성격유형에 따른 죽음 인지에 관한 탐색 연구)

  • Purpose: The aim of this study was to investigate attitudes toward death according to personality types and to suggest the need to develop related hospice programs. Methods: Personality types were identified by the Korean version of the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) Form G. A questionnaire with 26 five-point Likert items was used to survey participants' attitudes toward death. Results: The ESFP personality type was most common (20%) among available 100 participants. Significant differences were observed in the attitudes towards death preparation according to personality type s. Participants with personality preference types E, T and J showed positive attitudes (P<0.05) toward death, but no significant differences were shown based on the SN index. Conclusion: The attitudes toward death differed by personality types. Therefore, this study points to the need to develop diverse hospice programs based on the personality types.
