The aim of the work is to present a new method of estimating the existence of a mass unbalance and mass unbalance under a crack on a rotating shaft. This is an advanced new method for the detection of a mass unbalance and a new way to estimate the position of it under crack influence. As the first step, the shaft is physically modelled with a finite element method and the dynamic mathematical model is derived by using the Hamilton principle; thus, the system is represented by various subsystems. The equation of motion of the shaft with a mass unbalance and a crack are established by adapting the local mass unbalance and the stiffness change. this is a reference system for the given system. Based on a model for transient behavior induced from vabrations measured at the bearings, an elementary Estimator is designed to detect mass unblance on the shaft. Using the Estimator, a bank of the Estimator is established to estimate the estimate the position of the mass unbalance and arranged at a certain location on the shaft. The informations for the given system are the measurements of bearing displacements and velocity.

In this paper a dynamic behavior of a double-cracked cantilever pipe with the tip mass and a moving mass is presented. Based on the Euler-Bernoulli beam theory, the equation of motion is derived by using Lagrange's equation. The influences of the moving mass, the tip mass and double cracks have been studied on the dynamic behavior of a cantilever pipe system by numerical method. The cracks section are represented by the local flexibility matrix connecting two undamaged beam segments. Therefore, the cracks are modelled as a rotational spring. This matrix defines the relationship between the displacements and forces across the crack section and is derived by applying fundamental fracture mechanics theory. We investigated about the effect of the two cracks and a tip mass on the dynamic behavior of a cantilever pipe with a moving mass.

The purpose of this study is to define mass customization in the apparel industry and to discover, the apparel industry's potential to deliver customized apparel products. Different from product-centered mass Production, mass customization is focusing on customers' unique needs. The goal of mass customization is for customers to find exactly what they want at a reasonable price. Using new technologies such as 3-D body scanning and digital printing, mass customization can give customers customfit and personalized garments. Mass customization can satisfy a customer in terms of personalization, fit and design. Adoption of mass customization will open new opportunities for the apparel manufacturer of the future. Mass customization is a strategy that apparel manufacturers should consider for their goals.
Relationships between red ceil volume $(^{51}Cr-cell)$, total blood volume (red cell volume divided by hematocrit ratio), and extracellular fluid volume (SCN distribution space) and body weight (ranging between 73 and 384 grams) or lean body mass were studied in 59 nembutalized rats. Lean body mass was determined by means of underwater weighing method on rats clipped and eviscerated. There were positive correlations between body weight or lean body mass and the absolute values (in milliliters) of body fluid volumes. Body fluid volumes expressed on the body weight or lean body mass basis, however, showed negative correlations between body weight (grams) or lean body weight (grams) with one exception. Red cell volume expressed as % lean body mass showed a positive correlation with lean body mass. The other results are summarized as follows: 1. Body density of rats was 1.0561 $(range:\;1.0123{\sim}1.0781)$ and 19.8% body weight of total body fat was obtained. The mean value of lean body mass was 80.2% body weight 2. The correlation between body weight and lean body mass was high, namely, coefficient of correlation was r=.99. 3. The correlation between the absolute value of red cell volume (ml) and body weight showed a high correlation, namely, r= 92 and between the lean body mass coefficient of correlation was r=.93. On a weight basis, red cell volume was 2.67 ml/100 gm body weight or 3.48 ml/100 gm lean body mass. The coefficient of correlation between body weight (grams) and red cell volume (% body weight) was r=-. 30. The coefficient of correlation between lean body mass (grams) and red cell volume (% lean body mass) was r=. 50. Thus, the following regression equation was obtained. Red cell volume (% lean body mass)=. 00243 Lean body mass (gm)+3. 12. 4. Total blood volume was 6.06% body weight or 7.83% lean body mass. The correlation between these blood volume values and body weight or lean body mass were negative, namely, r= -.43 and r=-.42 respectively. 5. Extracellular volume (SCN space) was 30.0% body weight or 37.2% lean body mass. These percentage values showed negative correlations between body weight or lean body mass and coefficients of correlation were r=-.40 and r=-.54 respectively. 6. The rate of increase in body weight or lean body mass is accompanied by a smaller rate of increase in blood volume and extracellular fluid volume. The rate of increase in red ceil volume paralled that of lean body mass.
Background: Exploring the pharmacokinetic (PK) changes of various active components of single herbs and their combinations is necessary to elucidate the compatibility mechanism. However, the lack of chemical standards and low concentrations of multiple active ingredients in the biological matrix restrict PK studies. Methods: A putative multiple reaction monitoring strategy based on liquid chromatography coupled with mass spectrometry (LC-MS) was developed to extend the PK scopes of quantification without resorting to the use of chemical standards. First, the compounds studied, including components with available reference standard (ARS) and components lacking reference standard (LRS), were preclassified to several groups according to their chemical structures. Herb decoctions were then subjected to ultrahigh-performance liquid chromatography coupled with quadrupole time-of-flight mass spectrometry analysis with appropriate collision energy (CE) in MS2 mode. Finally, multiple reaction monitoring transitions transformed from MS2 of ultrahigh-performance liquid chromatography coupled with quadrupole time-of-flight mass spectrometry were used for ultrahigh-performance liquid chromatography coupled with triple quadrupole mass spectrometry to obtain the mass responses of LRS components. LRS components quantification was further performed by developing an assistive group-dependent semiquantitative method. Results: The developed method was exemplified by the comparative PK process of single herbs Radix Ginseng (RG), Radix Polygala (RP), and their combinations (RG-RP). Significant changes in PK parameters were observed before and after combination. Conclusion: Results indicated that Traditional Chinese Medicine combinations can produce synergistic effects and diminish possible toxic effects, thereby reflecting the advantages of compatibility. The proposed strategy can solve the quantitative problem of LRS and extend the scopes of PK studies.

The body segment parameters of twelve young male Korean were measured to compare with the results of foreign cadaver studies. A human body was assumed to have fourteen body segments. The mass of each segment was measured with a water immersion test and the mass center of a segment was determined on the balance platform by changing postures. In the case of Korean, because of the difference in body proportion, the mass center of whole-body is located further from the distal end of head(Korean : 44.9% vs. Caucasian : 41.2%), and the mass center of each segment also located in different proportional locations. The existing regression equations, which can estimate segment mass based upon the anthropometric dimensions, estimates segment mass (the mass of shank) for Korean with 13% error. Therefore, it is not recommended to estimate the mass, and the moment of inertia of body segment of Korean based on the existing equations. However, the density information of body constituents was similar enough to apply it to Korean density. It was validated by the comparison between the results of the direct immersion method and 3-dimensional volume reconstruction of segment form the cross sectional images of CT-scan. The average body density measured form twelve subjects was $1.035{\;}kg/m^3$ and showed deceasing trendency.
We analyse the results of mass models derived from the HI rotation! curves of spiral galaxies and find that the slope of the luminous mass-circular velocity relation is close to 4. The luminous mass-circular velocity relation with a slope of about 4 can be explained by an anti-correlation between the mass surface density of luminous matter and the mass ratio of the dark and luminous components. We also argue that the conspiracy between luminous and dark matter exists in a local sense (producing a flat or smooth rotation curve) and in a global sense (affecting the mass ratio of the dark and luminous matter), maintaining the luminous mass-circular velocity relation with a slope of about 4. We therefore propose that the physical basis of the Tully-Fisher relation lies in the luminous mass-circular velocity relation. While the slope of the luminous mass-circular velocity relation is fairly well defined regardless of the dark matter contribution, the zero-point of the relation is still to be determined. The determination of the slope of the Tully-Fisher relation needs one more step: the mean trend of the luminosity-luminous mass relation determines the overall shape (slope) of the Tully-Fisher relation. The key parameter needed to determine the zero-point of the luminous mass-circular velocity relation and the slope of the Tully-Fisher relation obviously is the luminous mass-to-light ratio.
We studied the evolution of the two mass components system with NFW initial density distribution by direct integration of the Fokker-Planck equations. The low mass component is regarded the dark matter particles while the high mass component is assumed to be conglomerates of baryonic matter in order to depict the 'stars'. While the true mass ratio between these two types of particles should be extremely large, our adopted mass ratio is about 1000 beyond which the dynamical evolution and density distribution tend to converge. Since the dynamical evolution is dominated by the dynamical friction, the high mass component slowly moves toward the central part, and eventually undergoes the core collapse. The system reaches the core-collapse at about $7.1{\times}10^{-3}$$t_{fh}$ in NFW models, where $t_{fh}$is the dynamical friction time at half-mass radius. The distribution of the high mass component is well fitted by the Sersic profiles or modified Hubble profile when the mass segregation is established. From these results, the surface brightness of elliptical galaxies may be explained by the high mass component experiencing dynamical friction by the dark matter particles. In order for the mass segregation to be effective within Hubble time, the mass of the luminous component should be greater than $10^5M_{\bigodot}$.

Algorithms and software for predicting tandem mass spectra have been developed in recent years. In this work, we explore how distinct in silico $MS^2$ spectra are predicted for isomers, i.e. compounds having the same formula and similar molecular structures, to differentiate between them. We used the CFM-ID 2.0/3.0 predictor with regard to (a) test compounds, whose experimental mass spectra had been randomly sampled from the MassBank of North America (MoNA) collection, and to (b) the most widespread isomers of test compounds searched in the PubChem database. In the first validation test, in silico mass spectra constitute a reference library, and library searches are performed for test experimental spectra of "unknowns". The searches led to the true positive rate (TPR) of ($46-48{\pm}10$)%. In the second test, in silico and experimental spectra were interchanged and this resulted in a TPR of ($58{\pm}10$)%. There were no significant differences between results obtained with different metrics of spectral similarity and predictor versions. In a comparison of test compounds vs. their isomers, a statistically significant correlation between mass spectral data and structural features was observed. The TPR values obtained should be regarded as reasonable results for predicting tandem mass spectra of related chemical structures.
