Effects on the process factors of blow molding affects to the PET bottle (블로우 성형공정변수가 PET 용기에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구)

  • Injection-stretch blowing system for preform has been developed in this study. The preforms for injection blow molding and injection stretch blow molding are being manufactured by injection molding. However it contains gate mark that affects the bottom crack in the PET bottle. The compression molded preform does not contain gate mark, thus the appearance quality of bottle has been increased and the residual stress near gate(bottom of the bottle) has been reduced. The thickness distributions, haze, and transmittance are well accepted for the preform. Also, flow characteristics of the resin between a core and cavity could be analyzed through computer simulation.

  • So far, an alternator pulley has been formed by cold forging and casting with a metal due to the necessity of its high strength. Various advantages such as the light weight, the low cost, and the high productivity can be obtained by the injection molding process using engineering plastics. Engineering plastics have an excellent performance in the characteristics off strength vs. weight, a good forming ability and a productivity. The object of this study is to develop an alternator pulley, which has been made with a metal, using the injection molding process based on Taguchi methods. A sink mark is considered as a characteristic parameter to improve the quality. The FEM Simulation CAE tool, Moldflow, is used for the analysis of injection molding process.

  • Molding properties of etched surface pattern are presented. Specimens, whose surface patterns are made by print-type etching, are investigated. The molding properties of surface pattern are estimated with roughness deviation of surface pattern on part and mold. The etching properties are related to physical properties of plastic materials and surface roughness of etched pattern. Also, flow mark and gate location can give influence on surface pattern molding. The experimental result can contribute to good molding of surface pattern in injection molding.

  • Even in a fully automated factory, many deburring operations are carried out manually . To remove or minimize the burreffectively or automatically, understanding of the burr formation which occur at the exit stage of machining is necessary. Burrs can be formed on the feed mark ridges an the edges of the machined parts in machining operations. These burrs are underirable in terms of the surface quality, the precise dimensioning of the machined parts and the safety of operators. This paper demonstrates the effectiveness of using end mill tool on minimizing the exit burr formation in machining . In particular, the experimental relationships between the size of exit burr and the cutting parameters are established in end mill machining . Methods to control the size of exit burr are then explained.

  • This paper presents a navigation method for a mobile robot which can follow a path drawn on a monitor screen. The current position and heading direction of the mobile robot are obtained using a single camera from a single image of the guide mark projected on a convex mirror. This proposed method eliminates the need to rotate or tilt the camera to track the guide mark, because the convex mirror and a stationary camera provide a panoramic view of the surrounding area. As guide marks, fluorescent lamps on the ceiling, door frames, or any other natural line segment can be used without adding any artificial elements to them.

  • This report describes the inception, development and extensive use over 30 years of elliptical polarimeters at the University of Pennsylvania. The initial Mark I polarimeter design utilized oriented retarder plates and a calcite Foster-Clarke prism as the analyzer. The Mark I polarimeter was used on the Kitt Peak 0.9 m in 1969-70 to accomplish a survey of approximately 70 objects before the device was relocated to the 0.72 m reflector at the Flower and Cook Observatory. Successive generations of automation and improvements included the early-80's optical redesign to utilize a photoelastic modulated wave plate and an Ithaco lock-in amplifier-the photoelastic modulating polarimeter. The final design in 2000 concluded with a fully remote operable device. The legacy of the polarimetric programs includes studies of close binaries, pulsating hot stars, and luminous late-type variables.

A Study on Maijue Quotation in Dongeuibogam (『동의보감(東醫寶鑑)』 중 『맥결(脈訣)』 인용(引用)에 대한 고찰(考察))

  • Objectives : 'Maijue' is the one of the diverse quoted texts in Dongeuibogam. Maijue is mentioned 72 times. However, we don't know what note of Maijue exactly indicates. Methods : We derives 72 sentences, which is marked as Maijue for quotation in Dongeuibogam, and compared those sentences between Dongeuibogam and texts related to Maijue ; Cui Jiayan's Maijue, Chandobanglonmaekgyeoljipseong and so on. Results : 35 out of 72 sentences are from Cui Jiayan's "Maijue", 28 from Chandobanglonmaekgyeoljipseong(17 from headings, 6 from contents related to Zhang Yuansu[張元素], 5 from contents related to Li Jiong[李駉]). The rest of those annot be found in texts mentioned above. Conclusions : Maijue in Dongeuibogam as a quoting mark doesn't indicate one book and Dongeuibogam used one single mark, 'Maijue' even though Dongeuibogam quoted several texts, which names were related to Maijue.

  • 본 논문에서는 우주전파를 VLBI 관측시스템으로 관측한 후 고속으로 저장/재생하기 위한 시스템 구축에 관해 소개한다. 한국천문연구원에서는 2001년부터 국내 유일의 VLBI관측 시스템으로써 한국우주전파관측망(Korean VLBI Network; KVN)을 구죽하고 있다. KVN에서는 1Gsps/2bit 우주전파를 샘플링하는 샘플러와 디지털필터로 구성된 자료획득 시스템(Data Acquisition System; DAS)을 갖출 예정이다. 관측된 우주전파는 샘플러와 DAS를 통하여 처리된 데이터를 1Gbps이상의 속도로 기록된다. 본 논문에서는 1Gbps급의 대용량 데이터를 처리할 수 있는 시스템으로써 Mark5B 시스템의 구축과 시스템 구성, VSI-H, 시스템 운용 및 실험결과 등에 대해서 기술하고자 한다.

  • EMFG(Extended Mark Flow Graph)는 이산시스템을 개념설계하거나 상세설계할 수 있는 좋은 도구이다. 시스템을 설계함에 있어서 마크흐름을 분석하는 것은 시스템의 성능향상과 직결되므로 상당히 중요한 작업이다. 본 논문에서는 EMFG의 각 박스들간의 상태변화를 박스추이가중행렬을 통하여 확인, 분석하는 기법을 제안하고자 한다. EMFG로 설계한 시스템의 상태변화를 쉽게 분석함으로써 시스템의 설계 및 분석이 쉬워지므로 자동화된 시스템 개발시 유용하게 사용될 것으로 기대된다.
