  • A feedback control algorithm for the input voltage control of boost converter is proposed in this paper. The proposed control system is mathematically formulated such that the state feedback gains. The control algorithm does not rely on manual tuning procedures neither use complex adaptive techniques. For the verification of the proposed control algorithm, simulation results of the proposed algorithm using PSIM 9.0 are given.

  • Recently in the area of ICT, the M2M and IoT are in the spotlight as a cutting edge technology with the help of advancement of internet. Among those fields, the smart home is the closest area to our daily lives. Smart home has the purpose to lead a user more convenient living in the house with WLAN (Wireless Local Area Network) or other short-range communication environments using automated appliances. With an arrival of the age of IoT, this can be described as one axis of a variety of applications as for the M2H (Machine to Home) field in M2M. In this paper, we propose a novel technique for estimating the location of a terminal that freely move within a specified area using the RSSI (Received Signal Strength Indication) in the WLAN environment. In order to perform the location estimation, the Fingerprint and KNN methods are utilized and the LMS with the gradient descent method and the proposed algorithm are also used through the error correction functions for locating the real-time position of a moving user who is keeping a smart terminal. From the estimated location, the nearest fixed devices which are general electric appliances were supposed to work appropriately for self-operating of virtual smart home. Through the experiments, connection and operation success rate, and the performance results are analyzed, presenting the verification results.

  • This paper proposes a new algorithm for maintenance scheduling with considering load forecast uncertainty. The proposed algorithm is based on the equivalent load of effective load carrying capability(ELCC) of generators. The uncertainty of forecasted load is considered as a normal distribution probability density function. For maintenance scheduling, reserve levelization method and risk levelization method are used in this study. To test the algorithm, we applied the proposed method to IEEE reliability test system(IEEE RTS). As a result, we verified the validity of the proposed method.

  • In this paper, a robust $H_{\infty}$ optimal design problem under a structure-specified PSS is investigated for power systems with parameter variation and disturbance uncertainties. Genetic algorithm is employed for optimization method of PSS parameters. It is shown that the proposed $H_{\infty}$ PSS tuned using genetic algorithm is more robust than conventional PSS.

  • The AIS(Automatic Identification System) has to be developed SOTDMA(Self-Organized Time Division Multiple Access) Algorithm which is important on wireless communication method because It is based on ITU(International Telecommunication Union) M.1371-1 of the international standard therefore, we need to develop a performance evaluation simulator efficiently to develop and analyze SOTDMA Algorithm. This paper shows the method of designing it. The SOTDMA Algorithm driving state verifies the performance evaluation simulator by IEC(International Electrotechnical Commission) 61993-2. After verifying results the performance evaluation simulator is correctly satisfied with IEC 61993-2. So we expect that it helps not only the AIS technology developed but also verify new SOTDMA Algorithm.

  • A new generation planning algorithm considering environmental constraint by using fuzzy technique is developed. This algorithm has a new formula which can consider environmental constraints and an effective solving method which has newly developed fuzzy dual procedure. By using this algorithm, economic generation planning considering environmental constraints can be scheduled. The usefulness of this method is verified by applying it to the test system.

  • This study proposed an improved center array-sequencing phase unwrapping (ICASPU) algorithm. 2% agarose phantom dopped with 0.6mM/l MnCl2 was used with clinical 1.5T MRI system and commercial knee coil. Obtained k-space data(raw-data) was transmitted to PC and reconstructed into phase image with MATLAB software. Previous center array-sequence phase unwrapping algorithm wascompared with proposed ICASP algorithm using second order regression analysis. As a result, we found that the amount of error on proposed ICASPU method is less about 5 times than that of previous CASPU method. In this study, we exploit improved Center array-sequence phase unwrapping algorithm and expect to apply to images including phase informations.

Development of VSL Control Algorithms for Various Traffic Conditions in Tunnels (교통상황별 터널부 VSL 표출제어 알고리즘 개발)

  • This paper developed the VSL control algorithms for various traffic conditions in tunnels. Various algorithms determining control speed, buffer speed, and display time were suggested in order to apply three gantry locations. The algorithms were evaluated by constructing simulation environments using python and VISSIM Com-Interface. Results show that speed difference between congested flow and normal flow was 50 km/h without algorithm application, but the difference was reduced to 20 km/h with algorithm application. In addition, the length of congested region in the exit section of the tunnel was also reduced from 800m to 300m with algorithm application. It is expected that the traffic accidents in tunnels may be reduced since the average and standard deviation of the speed are greatly reduced after applying the algorithms suggested.

  • In this communication, we introduce an Ishikawa type iterative algorithm for finding the approximate solutions of a class of nonlinear set valued variational inclusion problems. We also establish a characterization of strong convergence of this iterative techniques.
