Ink trap is one of the important factors to determine the color in multi-color overprints. This study was carried out for the purpose for analyzing the relationships between ink traps and color differences in two-color solid overprints. The specimens were printed under four different conditions that the overprinting ink sequence of M(Magenta) or C(Cyan) and the overprinting method of W(Wet-on-Wet) or D(Wet-on-Dry) were changed altermately, that is M+C-W or C+M-W and M+C-D or C+M-D.
Peroxidase isozyme C was isolated from mung bean cotyledon and purified to homogeneity as ascertained by chromatography and polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis, and then crystallized. Purification procedures included ammonium sulfate precipitation and column chromatography on Sephadex G-75, DEAE-cellulose and DEAE-Sephadex A-50. Peroxidase isozyme C was purified about 63 fold with 5% recovery. Isozyme C showed optimal activity at pH 5.0 with o-dianisidine and at pH 6.0 with guaiacol as substrate, and the optimal temperature was $70^{\circ}C$. Molecular weight of 50,000 was estimated for the isozyme C by SDS-polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis. At $70^{\circ}C$, it took 30 min to inactivate the isozyme to 50%, and at $80^{\circ}C$, this isozyme was almost completely inactivated in 20 min. The Km value of isozyme C for o-dianisidine was 0.11mM and that for guaiacol was 60.98mM using hydrogen peroxide as cosubstrate, and the kinetic pattern showed a competitive cyanide inhibition with respect to substrate. The crystalline structure of isozyme C was rectangular in shape.
In an attempt to develop a variety of expression vector systems for Corynebacterium glutamicum, six types of promoters, including $P_{tac}$, $P_{sod}$, $P_{sod}$ with a conserved Shine-Dalgarno (SD) sequence from C. glutamicum, $P_{ilvC}$, $P_{ilvC}$ with a conserved SD-1 ($P_{ilvC-M1}$), and $P_{ilvC}$ with a conserved SD-2 ($P_{ilvC-M2}$), were cloned into a modified shuttle vector, pCXM48. According to analysis of promoter strength by quantitative reverse transcription PCR, $P_{sod}$ and $P_{sod-M}$ were superior to tac and ilvC promoters in terms of transcription activity in C. glutamicum. All of the promoters have promoter activities in Escherichia coli, and $P_{sod-M}$ displayed the highest level of transcriptional activity. The protein expression in constructed vectors was evaluated by measuring the fluorescence of green fluorescent protein (GFP) and SDS-PAGE. C. glutamicum harboring plasmids showed GFP fluorescence with an order of activity of $P_{ilvC}$ > $P_{ilvC-M1}$ > $P_{sod}$ > $P_{ilvC-M2}$ > $P_{sod-M}$, whereas all plasmids except pCSP30 with $P_{sod}$ displayed fluorescence activities in E. coli. Of them, the strongest level of GFP was observed in E. coli with $P_{sod-M}$, and this seems to be due to the introduction of the conserved SD sequence in the translational initiation region. These results demonstrate that the expression vectors work well in both C. glutamicum and E. coli for the expression of target proteins. In addition, the vector systems harboring various promoters with different strengths, conserved SD sequences, and multiple cloning sites will provide a comfortable method for cloning and gene expression, and consequently contribute to the metabolic engineering of C. glutamicum.
A queueing system with 2 parallel workstations is common in the field. Typically, the workstations have different features in terms of the inter arrival times of customers and the service times for the customers. Computer simulation study on the optimal server allocation for parallel heterogeneous queueing systems with fixed number of identical servers is presented in this paper. The queueing system is optimized with respect to minimizing the weighted system time of the customers served by 2 parallel workstations. The system time formula for the M/M/c systems in Kendall's notation is known. Thus, we first compute the optimal allocation for parallel M/M/c systems, comparing the results with those from the computer simulation experiments, and have the same results. The CETI rule is devised through optimizing M/M/c cases, which allocates the servers based on Close or Equal Traffic Intensities between workstations. Traffic intensity is defined as the arrival rate divided by the service rate times the number of servers. The CETI rule is shown to work for M/G/c, G/M/c queueing systems by numerous computer simulation experiments, even if the rule cannot be proven analytically. However, the CETI rule is shown not to work for some of G/G/c systems.

The aim of this study was to investigate expression patterns of the prolactin (PRL) and c-fos genes by 17$\beta$-estradiol (17$\beta$-E) and stress in the mouse pituitary. In the pituitary, the levels of PRL mRNA were found high with some fluctuation at 30, 50, and 90 min whereas the levels of PRL mRNA were low at 120 min when ovariectomized female mice were injected with 17$\beta$-E or vehicle. PRL mRNA levels began to increase again at 4 h and remained high up to 24 h only in the 17$\beta$-E- treated mice. The overall changes in c-fos mRNA by 17$\beta$-E were very similar to those in PRL mRNA in the pituitary. Subsequent study revealed that these high initial levels of PRL and c-fos mRNAs were caused by stress during Injection, not by 17$\beta$-E, since vehicle injection alone into the ovariectomized mice could increase the levels of PRL and c-fos mRNAs. The stress-induced elevations of PRL and c-fos mRNAs were inhibited by bromocriptin, a dopamine agonist, suggesting that the dopaminergic system is involved in the action route of injection stress. In addition, the induced levels of c-fos mRNA by 17$\beta$-E and stress in the pituitary were very low compared with those in the uterus. The time course changes in c-fos mRNA level were different between the pituitary and uterus. Taken together, these data indicate that PRL and c-tos gene expression in the pituitary are regulated by 17$\beta$-E and stress in a parallel manner, supporting the notion that c-Fos plays a role in regulation of PRL gene expression.
Battle Management Language (BML) is defined as an unambiguous language intended to provide for command and control of simulated and live forces in U.S. It has been developed to connect between command and control system and Modeling & Simulation in the U.S., including NATO M&S Working Group. Its goal is to provide situational awareness and offer a path forward for interoperation of C2 systems and simulations. This study deals with BML development in U.S. that begins from army and is being expanded in multinational environment. It also proposes the BML application for C4I and M&S interoperation in the Korean forces. Recent developments of BML in U.S. have shown the potential for interoperation between C2 systems and simulations in a coalition environment. Finally, this study proposes a general BML application method and shows the example of its application to the Korea Joint Command Control System (KJCCS). It provides an architecture and a milestone for BML application in the Korean forces.

Response surface methodology (RSM) was applied for monitor the yields of desirable substances from fig (Ficus carica L) under different extraction conditions. The maximum yield was 66.46% at 22.08 mL/g of solvent to sample ratio, $90.59^{\circ}C$ extraction temperature and 148.04 min extraction time. The maximum total phenolics was $121.31{\mu}g/mL$ at 17.87 mL/g, $98.82^{\circ}C$, and 130.80 min. The maximum electron donating ability was 54.09% at $121.31{\mu}g/mL$, 18.13 mL/g, and $98.81^{\circ}C$. The maximum value of protease activity was 54.51 unit/min at 17.45 mL/g, $99.01^{\circ}C$, and 131.43 min. In addition, the maximum value of reducing sugar content was 19.14 mg/mL in 22.66 mL/g, $86.30^{\circ}C$, and 153.59 min. The optimum conditions estimated by RSM for maximal extraction of the effective components were $17{\sim}25$ mL/g of solvent to sample ratio, $80{\sim}100^{\circ}C$ of extraction temperature, and $100{\sim}170$ min of extraction time.
The spin-rotation constants of the proton and tile fluorine nucleus in C $H_4$, Si $H_4$, Ge $H_4$, C $F_4$, Si $F_4$ and Ge $F_4$ were determined experimentally by the molecular beam magnetic resonance method. From the Hamiltonian and the high field approximation, the quantized energy level is given by the following equation. W $m_{I}$$m_{J}$=- $g_{I}$$m_{I}$H- $g_{J}$$m_{J}$H- $C_{av}$$m_{I}$$m_{J}$, where $c_{av}$ is one third of the trace of the C tensor. In the nuclear resonance experiment, the proton and the fluorine nuclear resonance curves consist of many unresolved lines given by v=- $g_{J}$H- $C_{av}$$m_{I}$, and a Gaussian approximation is made to correlate $c_{av}$ to the experimentally obtained half-width of the resonance curve. In the rotational resonance experiment, the five resonance peaks as predicted by v=- $g_{I}$H- $c_{av}$$m_{I}$, $m_{I}$=0, $\pm$1 and $\pm$2, were all observed. The magnitude of car was determined by measuring the frequency distance between two adjacent peaks. The sign of $c_{av}$ was determined by the side peak suppression technique. The technique is described, and the sign and magnitude of the spin-rotation constant cav are summarized as following: for C $H_4$ -10.3$\pm$0.4tHz(from the rotational resonance), for SiH +3.71$\pm$0.08kHz(from the nuclear resonance), for Ge $H_4$+3.79$\pm$0.13kHz(from the nuclear resonance), for C $F_4$, -6.81$\pm$0.08kHz(from the rotational resonance), for Si $F_4$, -2.46$\pm$0.06kHz(from the rotational resonance), and finally for Ge $F_4$-1.84$\pm$0.04kHz(from the rotational resonance).onal resonance).esonance).

This paper describes the temperature characteristics of polycrystalline 3C-SiC micro resonators. The 1.2 ${\mu}m$ and 0.4 ${\mu}m$ thick polycrystalline 3C-SiC cantilever and doubly clamped beam resonators with 60 ~ 100 ${\mu}m$ lengths were fabricated using a surface micromachining technique. Polycrystalline 3C-SiC micro resonators were actuated by piezoelectric element and their fundamental resonance was measured by a laser vibrometer in vacuum at temperature range of $25{\sim}200^{\circ}C$. The TCF(Temperature Coefficient of Frequency) of 60, 80 and 100 ${\mu}m$ long cantilever resonators were -9.79, -7.72 and -8.0 $ppm/^{\circ}C$. On the other hand, TCF of 60, 80 and 100 ${\mu}m$ long doubly clamped beam resonators were -15.74, -12.55 and -8.35 $ppm/^{\circ}C$. Therefore, polycrystalline 3C-SiC resonators are suitable with RF MEMS devices and bio/chemical sensor applications in harsh environments.
