$Alq_3$의 증착속도에 따른 유기발광소자의 발광특성 (Luminous Properties in Organic Light-Emitting Diodes Depending on the deposition rate of $Alq_3$)

  • In the device structure of ITO/tris (8-hydroxyquinoline) aluminum(Alq3)/Al, we investigated the Organic Light-Emitting Diodes (OLEDs) properties as a function of the deposition rate of the $Alq_3$. The deposition rate was from 0.5 to 2.0 $[{\AA}/s]$ in a base pressure of $5{\times}10^{-6}$ [Torr]. It was found that a $Alq_3$ deposition rate of around 1.5 $[{\AA}/s]$ is the optimum for the maximum luminous properties. The optimum deposition rate of $Alq_3$ is 1.5 $[{\AA}/s]$.

75W급 LED 가로등 모듈의 방열판 최적화와 열특성 분석 (Optimization of Heatsink and Analysis of Thermal Property in 75W LED Module for Street Lighting)

  • In this paper, we optimized and simulated the heatsink of 75W LED module for street lighting and evaluated the optical properties with the manufactured heatsink. the structure of LED package make simple as chip and heatslug and thermal flow is analyzed by using the FEM(Finite Element Method) with CFdesign V10. Also, we measured the temperature of heatsink and evaluated the optical properties with infrared thermal image camera and integrated sphere system for luminous flux in $1\;[m^3]$ box. As results, Heatsink optimized in 3 mm pin thickness, 6 mm base thickness and 16 number of pin count by using Heatsink-designer and got the results which is the temperature of $47.37\;[^{\circ}C]$ and thermal resistance of $0.48407\;[W/^{\circ}C]$. In thermal flow simulation, the temperature of heatsink decreased from $51.54\;[^{\circ}C]$ to $51.51\;[^{\circ}C]$ and the temperature of heatsink by the time in real measurement decreased from $47.03\;[^{\circ}C]$ to $46.87\;[^{\circ}C]$. Moreover, we improve 0.68 % in the decreased ratio of the luminous flux.

  • Nowadays, itis inevitable trend to use high Xe gas contents for increase luminous efficiency and luminance in plasma display panel. However, the increase of Xe gas contents causes the driving voltage, although the brightness is increase. In this paper, we study the characteristics of electro optical according to Xe gas contents and gas pressure. Electro-optical characteristics were investigated by the discharge voltage, luminance and luminous efficacy measurements, respectively. With some increasing Xe gas contents and pressure, the electro-optical properties increased. However, the characteristics of electro-optical begin to be saturated, when too high increased Xe gas contents and pressure.

  • The electrical properties of organic lightemitting devices (OLEDs) with wide-bandgap impurity-doped emitting layers (EML) were investigated. While the luminous efficiency of OLEDs with a NPB or a DPVBi-doped $Alq_3$ EML did not vary significantly with the current density, that of the OLEDs with a BCP-doped $Alq_3$ EML changed dramatically.

  • In order to develop high efficiency white organic light-emitting diodes (OLEDs), OLED devices consisted of red and blue emitting layers (EMLs) were fabricated and the effect of respective layer thickness and the order of layer stacking on the luminous efficiency was evaluated Red/blue structure showed higher efficiency than blue/red, due to the higher exiton formation. In the blue layer of red/blue structure. However, the efficiency of the red/blue significantly depended on the thickness of the red layer, whereas the thickness of the blue layer was not affect so much. The optimum thickness of the red layer was 20 ${\AA}$, where the luminous and power efficiencies were 155 cd/A and 10.51 lm/W at 1000~3000$cd/m^2$ respectively and the maximum luminance was about 80,000 $cd/m^2$.

Selection of a Remote Phosphor Configuration to Enhance the Color Quality of White LEDs

  • The remote phosphor structure has been proven to bear greater luminous efficiency than both the conformal phosphor and in-cup phosphor structures; however, controlling its color quality is much more challenging. To solve this dilemma, various researchers have proposed dual-layer phosphor and triple-layer phosphor configuration as techniques to enhance the display brightness of white LEDs (WLEDs). Likewise, this study picked one of these configurations to utilize in multichip WLEDs with five distinct color temperatures in the range from 5600 to 8500 K, for the purpose of improving the optical properties of WLEDs, such as color rendering index (CRI), color quality scale (CQS), luminous efficacy (LE), and chromatic homogeneity. According to the results of this research, the triple-layer phosphor configuration has superior performance compared to other configurations in terms of CRI, CQS, and LE, and yields higher chromatic stability for WLEDs.

유리조성에 따른 백색 LED용 색변환 유리의 광특성 (Effect of Glass Composition on the Optical Properties of Color Conversion Glasses for White LED)

  • Yellow phosphor dispersed color conversion glasses are promising phosphor materials for white LED applications because of their good thermal durability, chemical stability, and anti-ultraviolet property. Six color conversion glasses were prepared with high Tg and low Tg specimens of glass. Luminous efficacy, luminance, CIE (Commission Internationale de l'Eclairage) chromaticity, CCT (Correlated Color Temperature), and CRI (Color Rendering Index) of the color conversion glasses were analyzed according to the PL spectrum. Color conversion glasses with high Tg glass frit, sintered at higher temperature, showed better luminous properties than did color conversion glasses with low Tg glass frit. The characteristics of the color conversion glass depended on the glass composition rather than on the sintering temperature. The XRD peaks of the YAG phosphor disappeared in the color conversion glass with major components of $B_2O_3$-ZnO-$SiO_2$-CaO and, in the XRD results, new crystalline peaks of $BaSi_2O_5$ appeared in the color conversion glass with major components of $Bi_2O_3$-ZnO-$B_2O_3$-MgO. The characteristics of CIE chromaticity, CCT, and the CRI of low Tg color conversion glasses showed worse color properties than those of high Tg color conversion glasses. However, these color characteristics of low Tg glasses were improved by thickness variation. So color conversion glasses with good characteristics of both luminous and color properties were attained.

TiO2가 첨가된 oxy-fluoride 계 유리의 발광특성에 미치는 열처리 효과 연구 (A study on the heat treatment effect upon luminous properties of oxy-fluoride glass doped with TiO2)

  • 본 연구에서는 광 발광특성이 우수하여 각종 광장치에 사용되고 있는 CaF2-Al2O3-B2O3-TiO2(CABT) 계 유리의 열처리 조건 및 결정상 생성에 따른 광학적 특성을 연구하였다. CAB 유리의 핵형성 및 결정성장을 제어하기 위해 핵형성제 TiO2를 첨가하고, 발광 특성을 향상시키기 위해 희토류 이온 Eu2O3를 첨가하였다. 열처리 조건에 따른 결정 성장 특성을 확인하기 위해 DTA 분석을 수행하였으며, 이에 따른 나노 크기 결정상 변화에 대한 XRD 및 SEM 분석을 수행하였다. 분석 결과 100 nm 크기의 결정생성은 발광강도를 향상시키지만 그 이상의 큰 결정 입자생성은 오히려 발광 특성을 저하시켰다.

소형 텔레센트릭 카메라 광학계의 재귀반사 측정 방법 연구 및 측정 장치 개발 (Development of a Measuring Instrument for the Coefficient of Luminous Intensity of Retro-Reflection of Miniature Telecentric Cameras)

  • 이 논문에서는 소형센트릭 카메라의 광학적 특성이 분석적, 실험적으로 연구되었다. 광학적 특성으로 소형센트릭광학계의 재귀반사 광도계수가 조사되었다. 우선, 시뮬레이션을 통해서, 이론적 재귀반사광도계수 값을 측정하였다. 두번째로, 소형센트릭 카메라 장치를 디자인 하였으며, 이후 실험을 통해 실제 장치의 재귀반사광고계수를 측정하였다. 시뮬레이션과 시험을 통해, 재귀반사광도계수의 측정치 및 실험치 모두가 (P384200CPH: $0,0042m^2/sr{\sim}0,018m^2/sr$, P285200CPH: $0,0045m^2/sr{\sim}0,0297m^2/sr$, P321450S: $0,0021m^2/sr{\sim}0,00963m^2/sr$) 1.4 ~ 4.9의 분각에서 $0,002{\sim}0,03m^2/sr$의 범위에 있음을 발견하였다. 이 결과는, 실제 장비를 구상하는데 사용된 메커니즘과 실험방법의 중요성(유효성)을 증명한다. 이에따라, 이 유효한 결과를 통해서, 이 연구는 광학공학의 이론과 실제의 발전에 기여하였다.

  • High intensity metal halide discharge lamp performance, specifically the generated luminous flux and light color content, depends critically on the arc tube design. Factors influencing the design and consequent lamp efficacy include : lamp size, geometry, arc tube composition, fill chemistry, electrode design and excitation modes. Shaping of Polycrystalline Alumina(PCA) can be realized by conventional ceramic processes. Several processes are applied nowadays. Well-known in the ceramic high pressure field for decades are the pressing and the extrusion method. Newly developed slurry and precious forming technologies give the one-body seamless tubes, which improve thickness uniformity and lighting performance. Now, we reported some optical properties with different arc tube structures of ceramic metal halide lamps.
