Materials with a combination of high electrical conductivity and optical transparency are important components of many electronic and optoelectronic devices such as liquid crystal displays, solar cells, and light emitting diodes. In this study, to fabricate a low-resistance and high optical transparent electrode film for organic photovoltaic, the following steps were performed: the design and manufacture of an electroforming stamp mold, the fabrication of thermal roll imprinted (TRI) poly-carbonate (PC) patterned films, the manufacture of high-conductivity and low-resistance Ag paste which was filled into patterned PC film using a doctor blade process and then coated with a thin film layer of conductive polymer by a spin coating process. As a result of these imprinting processes the PC films obtained a line width of $10{\pm}0.5{\mu}m$, a channel length of $500{\pm}2{\mu}m$, and a pattern depth of $7.34{\pm}0.5{\mu}m$. After the Ag paste was used to fill part of the patterned film with conductive polymer coating, the following parameters were obtained: a sheet resistance of $9.65{\Omega}$/sq, optical transparency values were 83.69 % at a wavelength of 550 nm.

Flexible complementary inverters based on thin-film transistors (TFTs) are important because they have low power consumption and high voltage gain compared to single type circuits. We have manufactured flexible complementary inverters using pentacene and amorphous indium gallium zinc oxide (IGZO) for the p-channel and n-channel, respectively. The circuits were fabricated on polyimide (PI) substrate. Firstly, a thin poly-4-vinyl phenol (PVP) layer was spin coated on PI substrate to make a smooth surface with rms surface roughness of 0.3 nm, which was required to grow high quality IGZO layers. Then, Ni gate electrode was deposited on the PVP layer by e-beam evaporator. 400-nm-thick PVP and 20-nm-thick ALD Al2O3 dielectric was deposited in sequence as a double gate dielectric layer for high flexibility and low leakage current. Then, IGZO and pentacene semiconductor layers were deposited by rf sputter and thermal evaporator, respectively, using shadow masks. Finally, Al and Au source/drain electrodes of 70 nm were respectively deposited on each semiconductor layer using shadow masks by thermal evaporator. The characteristics of TFTs and inverters were evaluated at different bending radii. The applied strain led to change in voltage transfer characteristics of complementary inverters as well as source-drain saturation current, field effect mobility and threshold voltage of TFTs. The switching threshold voltage of fabricated inverters was decreased with increasing bending radius, which is related to change in parameters of TFTs. Throughout the bending experiments, relationship between circuit performance and TFT characteristics under mechanical deformation could be elucidated.

Ferroelectric S $r_{0.9}$/B $i_{2.1}$/T $a_{2}$/ $O_{9}$ solutions were synthesized using sol-gel process in which strontinum ethoxide bismuth ethoxide trantalum ethoxide were used a s startring materials. SBT thin films were coated on Pt/Ti/ $SiO_2$/Si substrates by spin-coating. rapid thermal annealing (RTA) was used to promote crystallization. Thin films were annealed at $700^{\circ}C$ for 1 hr in an oxygen atmosphere. This temperature is about 10$0^{\circ}C$ lower than the usual annealing temperature for SBT thin films. Pt top-electrode was deposited by sputtering and thin films were post-annealed at $700^{\circ}C$ for 30 min. to enhance electrical properties. As the RTA temperature increased the higher 2 $P_{r}$ values were obtained. At RTA temperature being 78$0^{\circ}C$ remanent polarization of S $r_{0.9}$/B $i_{2.1}$/T $a_{2}$/ $O_{9}$ thin film was 7.73 $\mu$C/cm $_2$ and the leakage current density was 1.14$\times$10$^{-7}$ A/c $m^2$ at 3 V. As RTA temperature increased the breakdown voltage was decreased. It is considered that the low-field breadown is caused by the rough surface of SBT films and forming bismuth metal in SBT thin films.films.lms.
We have studied the effects of oxygen partial pressure change on the physical properties of the $La_{0.7}Ca_{0.3}MnO_3$ thin films grown by Pulsed laser Deposition. Contrary to the previous reports, thin films of high curie temperature were successfully synthesized at very low oxygen partial pressure ($1.0{\times}10^{-5}$, $1.0{\times}10^{-6}Torr$). These observations indicate that the shape of plasma plume and the kinetic energy of the ablated species in it play an important role in determining the quality of samples. We also fabricated p-n heterojunction of $La_{0.7}Ca_{0.3}MnO_3$ and Nb-doped $SrTiO_3$. The current-voltage curves show rectifying behavior and, furthermore, the current responses to the applied magnetic field, indicating a potential possibility of device applications.

The liquid crystal (LC) aligning capabilities treated on the Organic overcoat thin film surfaces by ion beam irradiation and rubbing method was successfully studied for the first time. The Organic overcoat layer was coated by spin-coating. In order to characterize the LC alignment, the microscope, pretilt angle, thermal stress, and atomic force microscopy (AFM) image was used. The good LC aligning capabilities treated on the Organic overcoat thin film surfaces with ion beam exposure of $45^{\circ}$ above ion beam energy density of 1200 eV can be achieved. But, the alignment of defect of NLC on the Organicovercoat surface at low energy density of 600 eV was measured. The pretilt angle of NLC on the Organic overcoat thin film surface with ion beam exposure of $45^{\circ}$ for 1 min at energy density of 1800eV was measured about 1.13 degree. But, low pretilt angles of NLC on the Organic overcoat thin film surface with ion beam exposure at energy density of 600, 1200, 2400, and 3000 eV was measured. Also, the pretilt angle of NLC on the rubbed Organic overcoat thin film surfaces was measured about 0.04 degrees. Finally, the good thermal stability of LC alignment on the Organic overcoat thin film surface with ion beam exposure of $45^{\circ}$ for 1 min can be measured.
[FeⅢ(BLPA)DBC]BPh4, a new functional model for the catechol dioxygenases, has been synthesized, where BLPA is bis((6-methyl-2-pyridyl)methyl)(2-pyridylmethyl)amine and DBC is 3,5-di-tert-butylcatecholate dianion. The BLPA complex has a structural feature that iron center has a six-coordinate geometry with N4O2 donor set. It exhibits EPR signals at g=5.5 and 8.0 which are typical values for the high-spin FeⅢ (S=5/2) complex with axial symmetry. The BLPA complex reacts with O2 within a few hours to afford intradiol cleavage (75%) and extradiol cleavage (15%) products which is very unique result of all [Fe(L)DBC] complexes studied. The iron-catecholate interaction of BLPA complex is significantly stronger, resulting in the enhanced covalency of the metal-catecholate bonds and low energy catecholate to FeⅢ charge transfer bands at 583 and 962 nm in CH3CN. The enhanced covalency is also reflected by the isotropic shifts exhibited by the DBC protons, which indicate increased semiquinone character. The greater semiquinone character in the BLPA complex correlates well with its high reactivity towards O2. Kinetic studies of the reaction of the BLPA complex with 1 atm O2 in CH3OH and CH2Cl2 under pseudo-first order conditions show that the BLPA complex reacts with O2 much slower than the TPA complex, where TPA is tris(2-pyridylmethyl)amine. It is presumably due to the steric effect of the methyl substituent on the pyridine ring. Nevertheless, both the high specificity and the fast kinetics can be rationalized on the basis of its low energy catecholate to FeⅢ charge transfer bands and large isotropic NMR shifts for the BLPA protons. These results provide insight into the nature of the oxygenation mechanism of the catechol dioxygenases.

ZnO films were fabricated on p-type Si(100) wafer ITO glass and quartz glass by the sol-gel process using zinc acetate dihydrate as starting material. A homogeneous and stable solution was prepared by dissolving the zinc acetate dihydrate in a solution of 2-methoxyethanol and monoethanolamine (MEA). ZnO films were deposited by spin-coating at 2800 rpm for 25 s and were dried on a hot plate at $250^{\circ}C$ for 10 min. Crystallization of the films was carried out at $400^{\circ}C$~$800^{\circ}C$ for 1 h in air. X-ray diffraction (XRD) analysis, scanning electron microscopy (SEM), UV-vis transmittance spectroscopy, FTIR transmittance spectroscopy and Photoluminescence (PL) spectroscopy measurements have been used to study the structural and optical properties of the films. ZnO films highly oriented along the (002)plane were obtained. In all cases the films were found to be transparent (above 70%) in visible range with a sharp absorption edge at wavelengths of about 380nm, which is very close to the intrinsic band-gap of ZnO(3.2 eV). The low temperature band-edge photoluminescence revealed a complicated multi-line structure in terms of bound exciton complexes and the phonon replicas.
Purpose : Localization using MRI is difficult due to susceptibility induced artifacts caused by metal electrodes. Here we took an advantage of the B0 pattern induced by the metal electrodes by using an oblique-view imaging method. Materials and Methods : Metal electrode models with various diameters and susceptibilities were simulated to understand the aspect of field distortion. We set localization criteria for a turbo spin-echo (TSE) sequence usingconventional ($90^{\circ}$ view) and $45^{\circ}$ oblique-view imaging method through simulation of images with various resolutions and validated the criteria usingphantom images acquired by a 3.0T clinical MRI system. For a gradient-refocused echo (GRE) sequence, which is relatively more sensitive to field inhomogeneity, we used phase images to find the center of electrode. Results : There was least field inhomogeneity along the $45^{\circ}$ line that penetrated the center of the electrode. Therefore, our criteria for the TSE sequence with $45^{\circ}$ oblique-view was coincided regardless of susceptibility. And with $45^{\circ}$ oblique-view angle images, pixel shifts were bidirectional so we can detect the location of electrodes even in low resolution. For the GRE sequence, the $45^{\circ}$ oblique-view anglemethod madethe lines where field polarity changes become coincident to the Cartesian grid so the localization of the center coordinates was more facilitated. Conclusion : We suggested the method for accurate localization of electrode using $45^{\circ}$ oblique-view angle imaging. It is expected to be a novelmethodto monitoring an electrophysiological brain study and brain neurosurgery.
Purpose: The purpose of this study was to design and build an optimized birdcage resonator configuration with a low pass filter, which would facilitate the acquisition of high-resolution 3D-image of small animals at 3T MRI system. Methods and Materials: The birdcage resonator with 12-element structures was built, in order to ensure B1 homogeneity over the image volume and maximum filling factor, and hence to maximize the signal to noise ratio (SNR) and resolution of the 3-dimensional images. The diameter and length of each element of a birdcage resonator were as follows: (1) diameter 13 cm, length 22 cm, (2) diameter 15 cm, length 22 cm, (3) diameter 17 cm, length 25 cm. Spin echo pulse sequence and fast spin echo pulse sequence were employed in obtaining MR images. The quality of the manufactured birdcage resonators wes evaluated on the basis of the return loss following matching and tuning process. Results: The experimental MR image of phantoms by the various manufactured birdcage resonators were obtained to compare the SNR in accordance with the size of objects. The size of an object to that of coil was identified by parameters that were estimated from the image of a phantom. First, the diameter of the birdcage resonator was 15cm, and the ratio of the tangerine to the birdcage resonator accounted for approximately 27%. The Q factor was 53.2 and the SNR was 150.7. Second, at the same birdcage resonator, the ratio of the orange was approximately 53%. The SNR and the Q parameter was 212.8 and 91.2, respectively. Conclusion: The present study demonstrated that if birdcage resonators have the same forms, SNR could be different depending on the size of an object, especially when the size of an object to that of coil is approximately 40~80%, the former is bigger than the latter. Therefore, when the size of an object to be observed is smaller than that of coil, the coil should be manufactured in accordance with the size of an object in order to obtain much more excellent images.
Laves phases of $NdFe_2$, $Nd{(Fe_{0.5})}_2$, $SmCo_2$ and $Sm{(Fe_{0.5}Co_{0.5})}_2$ stoichiometry were prepared using a rapid solidification technology. Low temperature magnetic properties show ferromagnetic behaviors for the $Nd{(Fe_{0.5}Co_{0.5})}_2$, $SmCo_2$ and $Sm{(Fe_{0.5}Co_{0.5})}_2$Nd(Feo,Coo,) Laves compounds while a sort of spin reorientation has been suggested for the supposed composition of $NdFe_2$ alloy. This rapidly solidified $NdFe_2$ alloy is believed to consist of metastable rhombohedral $NdFe_7$ phase plus fine particles of Nd-rich phase. Some evidence of phase transition from the mixture of unstable $NdFe_7$ compound plus Nd-rich to $Nd_2Fe_{17}$ plus Fe-Nd-O phase was obtained after annealing the $NdFe_2$, alloy. The pseudo-binary Laves compound, $Sm{(Fe_{0.5}Co_{0.5})}_2$ exhibits a high coercivityof 4 kOe at room temperature with Curie temperature of $400^{\circ}C$ while the $Nd{(Fe_{0.5}Co_{0.5})}_2$ compound shows a magnetic moment of $2.8\;{\mu}_B/f.u.$.
