공공임대주택 구성재의 적정 수선주기 산정 연구 (Establishment of the Optimal Repair Cycle of the Components of the Rental Housing)

  • A rental housing has a key role to supply the living space to non-ownership. A public rental housing is particularly aimed at providing the living space for the low-income households with a low rent fee. Therefore, the local government would try to maintain the facilities of the rental housing and to get the decent living condition. For getting the required living condition, it should make a maintenance plan, which contains the repair time, repair scope and targeted component and finishings. This study is aimed at providing the optimal repair time in 12 components and components of the rental housing which is controlled by the local government. The optimal repair time has two steps to get the final result. First, it would draw the 1'st repair time with the probabilistic and empirical approach. Second, comparing the drawn data and the service life, the optima repair time would be provided with considering the components' attributes. Result are as follows : First, the optimal repair time would be considered with the component attributes. There are user's convenience, its safety and physical aspect. Second, the kitchen utensils, elevator and water tap has a optimal time of 16, 19, 17 years respectively which is considered with physical aspect. In addition, the optima repair time of the wiring appliance and lighting equipment are 12 years and 10 years respectively.

침투성 알칼리성부여제 도포에 의한 중성화된 콘크리트의 알칼리성 회복성능에 관한 실험적 연구 (An Experimental Study on the Alkali-Recovery Performance of Impregnating Alkalization Agent for Deteriorated Concrete by Carbonation)

  • 콘크리트 구조물의 성능저하는 여러 성능저하 요인들의 상호작용에 의해 발생한다. 특히 중성화는 시간의 경과에 따라 증가하는 대표적인 성능저하기구로 알려져 있다. 최근 들어 중성화 메카니즘에 관한 기초적인 연구와 더불어 중성화로 성능저하된 구조물의 내구성 증진을 위한 공법 및 기술개발이 활발히 진행중이다. 이에 본 논문에서는 기존에 제안되고 있는 중성화 단계에 따른 보수공법을 바탕으로 중성화된 콘크리트에 침투성 알칼리성부여제를 도포함에 따른 알칼리성 회복성상과 표면피복재의 종류에 따른 알칼리성 유지성능을 정량적으로 비교.분석하였다. 본 실험결과 알칼리성부여제를 토포함에 의해 촉진중성화에 의해 pH가 저하된 콘크리트의 알칼리성 회복성능을 확인 할 수 있었으며, 알칼리성부여제 도포후 표면피복재에 따라 콘크리트의 알칼리성 유지성능은 큰 차이를 나타내는 것으로 나타났다.

  • Recent growth in global economic situation has led dramatic increase in new buildings of large containerships. These increased new building orders have brought keen concerns of developing and improving the quality of design and increasing the productivity of the vessel in order to satisfy the ship Owner's various requirements. For the increment of productivity and quality of containership, the plastic type bearing pad of cargo hatch cover has been investigated intensively for years with the supplier of cargo hatch cover. The result of investigation showed that there are numbers of advantages for the Owner and Builder over the existing bronze bearing pads which are better corrosion resistance long life time, low friction coefficient, easy maintenance, easy installation, better production lead time and low maintenance cost.

  • Modern society is suffering from the phenomena of low-fertile, ultra-aging, and low-growth. On this social flow, most social classes undergo vulnerable situation and their overall housing and living condition have difficulties. So far many housing guidelines for diverse population were developed, recently, inclusive 'Customized Housing Design Guideline for Childcare Families' in terms of maintaining family and society has been completed. The purpose of this study is to analyze User Benefit Characteristics of 'Customized Housing Design Guideline for Childcare Families'. The research subjects are essential 140 guidelines appropriate to children's development and parents' care. The research method is contents analysis and the analysis criterion are 4 concepts of the User Benefit Criteria- 'Behavioral Facilitation (BF)', 'Physiological Maintenance (PhM)', 'Perceptual Maintenance (PM)', 'Social Facilitation (SF)'. 3 people inter-raters reliability was established. Altogether, the guidelines were rated in the order of PhM>PM>BF>SF, and these characteristics are similar as common universal design guidelines. This showed the supportability of spatial characteristics in the guidelines related to user's special behaviors. Also, the results show the importance of outdoor space planning for safe social interactions. The supportable characteristics of 'Customized Housing Design Guideline for Childcare Families' could be expected to efficiently apply for new housing development in the future.

Concept definition of Small-Medium Reactor Coolant System using System Engineering

  • New design concept of Reactor Coolant System (RCS) including a reactor assembly for the SMR is introduced in this work. An exploration of new type of reactor that is advanced from proposed SMRs is performed by using systems engineering approach. In this point of view project structured on three main phases; needs analysis (NA), concept exploration (CE), and concept definition (CD). Main objectives as an output of the CE stage are a small size, low cost, shortening the schedule, and enhancing safety. The SMRs usually have a small size requirement. In order to meet the size requirement and to achieve a productivity, in other words, easiness to manufacture, this paper suggests an integrated PWR design concept through researching predecessors. Although the integrated PWR concept provides many advantages, it has disadvantages that composite of maintenance and a low availability problem. Therefore, this paper comes up with a run-to-fail design concept based on modular design to address the maintenance problem and to maximize the availability of SMRs as well as to be compatible with the overall-SMRs including Barge Mounted(BM)type.

Catheter-related bloodstream infections in neonatal intensive care units

  • Central venous catheters (CVCs) are regularly used in intensive care units, and catheter-related bloodstream infection (CRBSI) remains a leading cause of healthcare-associated infections, particularly in preterm infants. Increased survival rate of extremely-low-birth-weight infants can be partly attributed to routine practice of CVC placement. The most common types of CVCs used in neonatal intensive care units (NICUs) include umbilical venous catheters, peripherally inserted central catheters, and tunneled catheters. CRBSI is defined as a laboratory-confirmed bloodstream infection (BSI) with either a positive catheter tip culture or a positive blood culture drawn from the CVC. BSIs most frequently result from pathogens such as gram-positive cocci, coagulase-negative staphylococci, and sometimes gram-negative organisms. CRBSIs are usually associated with several risk factors, including prolonged catheter placement, femoral access, low birth weight, and young gestational age. Most NICUs have a strategy for catheter insertion and maintenance designed to decrease CRBSIs. Specific interventions slightly differ between NICUs, particularly with regard to the types of disinfectants used for hand hygiene and appropriate skin care for the infant. In conclusion, infection rates can be reduced by the application of strict protocols for the placement and maintenance of CVCs and the education of NICU physicians and nurses.

Fractal evaluation of the level of alligator cracking in pavements

  • Pavement management systems require systematic monitoring of pavement surfaces to determine preventive and corrective maintenance. The process involves the accumulation of large amounts of visual data, typically obtained from site visitation. The pavement surface condition is then correlated to a pavement distress index that is based on a scoring system previously established by state or federal agencies. The scoring system determines if the pavement section requires maintenance, overlay or reconstruction. One of the surface distresses forming part of the overall pavement distress index is the Alligator Crack Index (AC Index). The AC Index involves the visual evaluation of the crack severity of a section of a pavement as being low, medium, or high. This evaluation is then integrated into a formula in order to obtain the AC Index. In this study a quantification of the visual evaluation of the severity of alligator cracking is carried out using photographs and the fractal dimension concept from fractal theory. Pavements with low levels of cracking were found to have a fractal dimension equal to 1.051. Pavements with moderate levels of cracking had a fractal dimension equal to 1.1754. Pavements with high degrees of cracking had a fractal dimension that varied between 1.5037 (high) and 1.7111 (very high). Pavements with a level of cracking equal to 1.8976 represented pavements that disintegrated and developed potholes. Thus, the visual evaluation of the state of cracking of a pavement (the AC Index) could be enhanced with the use of the fractal dimension concept from fractal theory.

고유동 충전재의 개발과 노후 터널의 배면공동 뒤채움에 관한 연구 (A Study on Development of the Controlled Low-Strength and High-Flowable Filling Material and Application of the Backfilling in Cavities behind the Old Tunnel Lining)

  • The most tunnel damage such as cracks or leakage which exist in tunnel lining commonly, is caused by the cavities where exist behind the tunnel lining, through the tunnel safety inspections. These cavities were analysed to affect a stability of a running-tunnel seriously. This study is on the development of the controlled low-strength and flowable filling material which is able to apply to the cavity behind the tunnel lining. The major materials of backfilling developed are a crushed sand and a stone-dust which exists as a cake-state and is a by-product obtained in the producting process of aggregate. It is conformed with the design standard to the physical characteristics of backfilling. The backfilling material developed is designed to reduce the fair amount of cement. According to the designed compound ratio, it is carried out the laboratory tests such as a compressive strength and a chemical analyses and is applied to dilapidated old tunnel for an application assessment.

  • With the expansion in the use of DC power systems and increased need for system maintenance, the development of measurement devices for maintenance requires high stability. Of the different kinds of DC current measurement devices, the single-shot measurement device causes the input signal of the current measuring unit to initially generate a high inrush current. The high inrush current flows into the signal processor of the meter, shortening the life of the internal fuses and causing failure. Therefore, in this study, the I2t value for increasing the durability of the fuse is designed using the available wire diameter. Operating characteristics for 210~400% over-current of the rated current, which is relatively low over-current, are realized by the plating of low melting tin metal. As a result, a method of designing a fuse element for a DC power supply, which improves the safety of the DC current measurement device by blocking the failure caused by the inrush current, is presented.

고성능 하이볼륨 슬래그 시멘트 페이스트의 고로슬래그 미분말 분말도에 따른 수화 및 강도 특성 (Effect of Fineness of GGBS on the Hydration and Mechanical Properties in HIGH Performance HVGGBS Cement Paste)

  • 최근 온실가스 감축을 위해 시멘트 클링커를 대체하여 고로슬래그 미분말을 다량 치환한 하이볼륨 슬래그 시멘트에 대한 연구 활발히 진행되고 있다. 하지만, 수화열 및 내구성 등 다양한 장점에도 불구하고 초기 재령에서의 낮은 강도 발현 등의 문제점으로 인해 실제 현장의 적용에 한계점을 가지고 있다. 본 연구는 이러한 점을 극복하고자 GGBFS 혼입률에 따른 페이스트의 압축강도, 수화열 등의 특성을 분석하였다. GGBS 분말도에 따른 4종류와 치환율 35%, 50%, 65%, 80% 4수준으로 하여 총 16개의 배합에 대해 실험을 수행하였다. 실험결과 낮은 물-바인더 비에 의한 고성능 하이볼륨 슬래그 시멘트 페이스트 배합은 초기 재령에서의 낮은 압축강도의 한계점을 극복할 수 있을 것으로 판단된다. 또한 GGBS의 분말도는 고성능 하이볼륨 슬래그 시멘트 페이스트의 초기 재령에서의 압축강도 증진에는 효과가 있지만, 28일 이후의 장기 강도에는 큰 영향이 없는 것으로 나타났다.
