  • This paper examines how split-screen technique works to meet the goals and strategies of the narrative in the romantic comedy films which deal with love and sex. The plot of romantic comedy films aims to the union and marriage of the couple, but is structured to delay the union as much as possible through comical situations and episodes. Usually split-screen scenes are placed before plot point 2 and serve to make a laugh and humor. Besides, it helps focusing on two main characters. Comedy related to love and sex comes from information gap between two main characters which can cause a tension, double meaning of spoken words and combination of split-screen images. Michael Gordon's Pillow Talk(1959) and Peyton Reed's Down with Love(2003) are reviewed in this study.

  • The purpose of this study is to determine what eroticism of feminine love is, which, by the philosophy of Nietzsche, is the loving of life itself. The first phase of this study discloses that the feminine love is an erotic love, for the reason that it has its roots in naturality specifically and especially about sex and fertileness. In searching of the erotic love of feminine, the feminine eros have been explored from both Hellenistic and Christian culture which are the two major foundations of the western culture. The examination is persuasive that the feminine eros is mainly composed with sex and fertileness where it had been distorted from the Hellenistic culture and had been obliterated by the Christian culture. The final phase of this study reveals the genuine meaning of feminine eros and eroticism which had been suggested by Nietzsche.

  • This research wanted to examine what narratives and discourse were being formed in web drama contents young generations were going crazy about. To understand the characteristics of such love epics and to know what narratives were being formed based on narrative structures and comments, this research specifically used the web drama produced up to the season 4 for the first time in Korean web drama history with a large number of accumulated views. It was found that the narratives of the drama composed the romantic relationships of four couples as independent episodes, and realistically highlighted separations and reunions of those couples, and suggested concrete methods to solve agonies and conflicts they would experience in such relationships. And, in user comments, there emerged relational narratives confusing friendship and love between partners of opposite sex, narratives regarding the third person as enemy, and narratives on typical sex roles in such romantic relations. And, the culture seeking subjective love style and sharing and sympathizing with the love histories also appeared.

  • Because sexual awareness is changing, I have tried to classify university students' attitudes toward sex. This study examined male and female university students and used a Q-method to measure these attitudes. Out of a total of 202, 33 statements were abstracted, and a P-sample of 1-7 parties consisting of 26 persons were studied. I Q-sorted the statements with a standard of 9 points for normal distribution and analyzed the data by means of a Principal Component Analysis with a Quan PC Program. According to the result of this research, university students' attitudes toward sex are divided into three types. Type 1 are called open-minded open: They may have a surgical abortion in case of an unexpected pregnancy and sexual intercourse occurs when a man and woman feel love for each other. They don't see sexual intercourse as a means reproduction nor virginal purity as unconditional. It is remarkable that these students regard sexual intercourse as a natural thing and sex as a basic desire of human beings. In short, they show an open-minded attitude toward sex. Type 2 are supporters of virginal purity; They regard virginal purity with great importance. They insist that both man and woman should be chaste but that sexual intercourse before marriage is unfavorable only to the woman. They do not believe in sexual intercourse without love and emphasize purity in sex education. Differen from type 1, they are very negative about surgical abortion. Type 3 experss love through sex. They belive that sexual intercourse makes a couple happy and a way to express their affection for each other. In other words, the relationship between man and woman is improved through sexual intercourse. They do not think of sexual intercourse in terms of childbirth.

  • This paper aims to reconstruct the theme of the crisis of modernity and its overcoming possibility as one of the most intense implications of Nietzsche philosophy on the theme of "love". It analyses Nietzsche's statements about love, from the onset of physical desire for the opposite sex, through the forms of religiously distorted love, such as compassion and charity, to the amor fati as the positive affirmation of life. For Nietzsche, love is basically an urge to grow out of the possessive craving for power. The impulse of love is part of life, because it is willpower that makes man. Christianity, which linked sexual impulses to sin, made eros immoral. Nietzsche says we must overcome Christian love, which intends to deny human nature and reality and superimpose other ideals, and learn to love beyond itself. In the Nietzsche philosophy, it is the love of one's fate.
