In this study, a Korean abbreviation scale to measure love and compassion toward other person was developed based on a critical review on Compassionate Love Scale(CLS; Sprecher, & Fehr, 2005). In the study 1, 12 items were selected from the original version of 21 item CLS by surveying a sample of 207 college students on the basis of several psychometric characteristics (i.e., discriminability, coefficient of factor loading, and contribution to internal consistency). In the study 2, the validity of 12 item version, ACLS (Ajou Compassionate Love Scale), was confirmed by examining the factor structure, reliability, and correlations with other related scales. The results clearly showed that ACLS not only had a sufficient psychometric properties as the CLS, but also superior to the CLS in terms of parsimoniousness. Limitations and implications for future research of ACLS were discussed.

This study is a test of gender differences between the importance of basic psychological needs and the components of love. The need for research is to verify the relationship between need and love. The purpose of this study is to serve as basic data for preparing a solution to the relationship between lovers and promoting love. Research participants targed a total of 193couples unmarried love couples, 386 person living in Seoul and Gyeonggi metropolitan areas. For the research tools, the basic psychological needs importance scale and components of love scale had been used. Regarding the analysis of the data, as a statistical analysis using SPSS 22, the t-verification, the correlation analysis, and the regression analysis method had been carried out. As a result of the analysis, regarding the importance of the basic psychological needs, regarding the relationship, the females were meaningfully (t=-3.528, p<.01) higher than the males. And, among components of love, regarding the passion and the commitment, the males were meaningfully (t=3.588, p<.001) higher than the females. And, regarding the correlations between the main variables, it appeared that the basic psychological needs importance of the males has a correlation with the components of love. And, regarding the females, it appeared that, among the basic psychological needs importance, only the relationship and the capability have the relationships with the components of love. Regarding the influence of the basic psychological needs importance on the component of love, it appeared that the relationship need importance of the males has a positive (+) influence on the component of love. And, regarding the autonomy need of the males, it appeared that, among the component of love, it has a negative (-) influence on the passion and the commitment. Regarding the females, it appeared that, differently from the males, only the need for a relationship has a positive (+) influence on the components of love. It was found that women's relationship needs had a positive effect on the components of love, but women's desire for autonomy did not affect the components of love, unlike men. Therefore, the importance of the basic psychological needs of love couples influenced the love relationship, and the relationship between the variables showed gender differences. If love couple understands and meets the importance of each other different basic psychological needs when a conflict arises, it will be a helpful resource for resolving conflict and promoting love.

The way of approaching 'the relationship between love and justice' varies from person to person. We can argue for superiority of love or for superiority of justice by understanding the relationship between the two as conflicting. We can also argue that we need each other by understanding each other as a complementary relationship rather than an oppositional relationship. Hegel, however, sees love and justice as independent constitutive principles valid in different areas and does not regard the two as opposing nor complementary. This can only be understood when the structure of Hegel's theory of recognition is properly assumed. The relationship between love and justice will be considered mainly in Hegel's theory of recognition. Key philosophical points of Hegel's theory of recognition and consequences drawn on the relationship between love and justice on the basis of the theory will be examined. This can be summarized in the form of a thesis, roughly as follows. - Hegel presents love, justice and solidarity, that are various forms of recognition, to a family, a civil society and a state, that are three forms of social relations, as their constitutive principles. He does not grasp the relationship between love and justice as oppositional nor as complementary, that is different from many people's general perspective on the relationship of the two. - In Hegel's theory of recognition, love and justice differ in the areas in which they are valid. Love is a valid principle in the intimacy, and justice is a valid principle in non-intimacy. So, if justice and rights are asserted in intimacy, the area of intimacy is destroyed. Conversely, if love is asserted in non-intimacy, it cannot exercise real influence. - In the political community such as a state, where intimacy and non-intimacy overlap each other, the principle of solidarity is needed as a new constitutive principle, since a state does not stand on the principle of love as in a family nor on the principle of justice as in a civil society.

This study explores one of charity drive contents on YouTube channel. Due to the advance of science and technology, ordinary people come to make their own video content online, usually via YouTube. YouTube becomes number one online video storage/streaming platform, and many people upload their own video and they get attention and fame. This study analyzes various aspects of Shoot for Love, soccer-based charity drive videos shown on YouTube channel created in South Korea. Unlike popular videos in YouTube, Shoot for Love centers on charity by casting popular soccer players and celebrities. Especially, this study researches 1) Components 2) Traits of Components 3) Contents of Components in Shoot for Love. Throughout this, it not only analyzes unique aspects of Shoot for Love that show how and why YouTube content matters, but also suggest plausible methods to drive charity and institution are suggested that appeal to the public.

This study studied the seasons in the novel Snowy Read and the archetypal characteristics in natural phenomena. Summer and winter are the main seasons of Snowy Road. The cycle of the day is the time of dawn and early morning, evening, or night. It is summer now, and memory day is winter. In Snowy Road, 'I' is in sharp conflict with my mom during the summer season. This conflict is resolved and resurfaced with the feeling of 'love' as the story of the day is told in the mother's memory. It was a long time of conflict and trials for winter in the memory of me and my mother. As a result of examining the circular symbols in the Snowy Road, each symbol represents the 'I' and 'the mother's feelings'. 'I' and 'Mom's Emotions' collide, but they confirm each other's sincerity and rebuild their feelings of conflict with 'love'. In Snowy Road, the mother and son's 'love' shows that the mother's son is deeply in love, but the son's mother's love is also very deep.

This study explored the phenomenon of heterosexual women embracing Boys' Love manga within the heteronormativity context from a feminist psychological perspective. Specifically, the issue of genre characteristics of Boys' Love manga, women's psychological mechanism of reading Boys' Love manga, and the functions and effects of embracing Boys' Love manga were discussed. As a theoretical framework of analysis, I started from the classical psychoanalysis and critically adopted the concepts of the various camps of feminism, queer theory, and Huizinga's Homo Rudens. The results show that Boys' Love manga can be classified as a sub-category of the romance genre, which fulfills heterosexual women's desires of eternal love and equal partnership. From these wish-fulfilling fantasies, heterosexual women attempt to be decontextualized from the heteropatriarchism, to enjoy distancing and voyeuristic separation from the characters in the texts, and to disturb the dichotomous gender system through gender reversal identification. These processes, which can be regarded as a women's play challenging sexual rigorism, ultimately bring about an awareness of the female sexual subjectivity.

This study was conducted to validate the Korean Love addiction Questionnaire-Short Form (K-LAQ-SF) applicable to Korean society. As a result of exploratory factor analysis for Love addiction 40 Questions(Peabody, 2005), the final 5 factors and 15 questions appeared, and the model fit of the final scale was confirmed through confirmatory factor analysis. The results of the equivalence test showed that the theoretical structure of the abbreviated scale works in the same way for each gender. The results of correlation analysis between K-LAQ-SF and original scale showed that the abbreviated scale represented the original scale relatively faithfully. Finally, the results of correlation analysis between this scale and relationship addiction, love type and depression showed that convergence, discrimination and criterion validity were secured. K-LAQ-SF is significant in that it can be usefully used to easily measure the characteristics of Korean adults' love addiction in a short time based on stable reliability and validity.

The intent of this paper is to investigate the propagation of Love waves in a dry sandy medium sandwiched between fiber-reinforced layer and prestressed porous half-space. Separate displacement components have been deduced in order to characterize the dynamics of individual materials. Using suitable boundary conditions, the frequency equation has been derived by means of separation of variables which reveals the significant role of reinforcement parameters, sandiness, thickness of layers, porosity and prestress on the wave propagation. The phase velocity of the Love wave has been discussed in accordance with its typical cases. In both cases when fiber-reinforced and dry sandy media are absent, the derived equation of Love type wave coincides with the classical Love wave equation. Numerical computations have been performed in order to graphically illustrate the dependencies of different parameters on phase velocity of Love waves. It is observed that the phase velocity decreases with the increase of parameters pertaining to reinforcement and prestress. The results have certain potential applications in earthquake seismology and civil engineering.

Purpose: This study was conducted to investigate the level of interpersonal attachment styles and love styles and to identify the differences of love styles according to interpersonal attachment styles among nursing students. Methods: Data were collected from 510 nursing students using a self-report questionnaire and analyzed by frequencies, Fisher's exact test, t-test, and ANOVA using the SPSS program. Results: In terms of interpersonal attachment styles, secure style was the most prevalent, and fearful style was the second highest in nursing students. There were significant differences in interpersonal attachment styles between upper and lower level nursing students, indicating the highest rate of secure style in the lower grade and the highest rate of fearful style in the upper grade. In love styles, the mean scores for eros and pragma style in nursing students were significantly higher in the upper grade than the lower grade. Love styles according to interpersonal attachment styles showed a significant difference for eros style. Conclusion: Our results might help nursing educators increase their understanding of interpersonal attachment styles and love styles in nursing students and counsel nursing students in interpersonal and romantic relationships. In addition, educational programs addressing interpersonal attachment styles should be developed and applied to nursing students.

Love which is one of the emotional of mankind, has been studied in sociology and psychology as a matter of great concern. Through such a research, the researchers have provided the basic mathematical model for love model, we cannot find nonlinear characteristics through the basic love model. Therefore, in this paper, in order to find nonlinear behaviors in the basic love model, we apply external force to the basic love model. Then we confirm the existence of nonlinear behaviors through time series and phase portrait. We also confirm that this nonlinear behaviors have the periodic doubling, chaotic phenomena and periodic process which are very similar to typical chaotic occurrence phenomena.
