  • The object of this paper is to Study the work measurement which is one of the principal technique in work study for the improvement of Productivity in the foundry industry. Most of domestic mechanical enterprise using the expensive foreign machinerise is inoufficient for the standardization of the operation method and time. Therefore, the improvement of operation and productivity through the introduction of the work measurement is an urgent task. Therefore, this paper is contribute to the improvement of operation and to reduce the loss time through the application of the work measurement based on the case study conducted at W-Foundry Corporation. The summary of this study is follows; 1. The measurement of operation efficiency can be accomplished by the standard time. 2. The detailed causes and counter-proposal of loss time can be established, 3. More than 50% of loss time is attributed to c/p.

히스테리시스 특성을 고려한 측정용 변류기 2차 전류 보상 알고리즘 (Compensating Algorithm for the Secondary Current of a Measurement CT Considering the Hysteresis Characteristics of the Core)

  • This paper proposes a compensating algorithm for the secondary current of the measurement current transformer (CT) that removes the effects of the hysteresis characteristics of the iron-core. The exciting current resulting from the hysteresis characteristics of the core causes an error between the primary current and the secondary current of the measurement CT. The exciting current can be decomposed into the magnetizing current and the core loss current. The core loss current is obtained from the measured secondary current and the core loss resistance. The core flux linkage is calculated by integrating the measured secondary current, and then inserted into the flux-magnetizing current curve to obtain the magnetizing current. The exciting current at every sampling interval is obtained by summing the core-loss and magnetizing currents and then added to the measured current to obtain the correct current. The performance of the proposed algorithm is validated under various conditions using EMTP generated data. The results indicate that the proposed algorithm can improve the accuracy of the measurement CT significantly, and thus reduce the size and the cost of the measurement CT.

  • A energy equation for a thin plate and surrounding fluid is derived. The equation essentially determines the relation between internal loss of thin plate, energy of acoustic radiation, and structure intensity. We attempted to use this relation to measure internal loss of thin plate. The significance of this approach is that internal loss at any point of a thin plate can be measured. The quality of this measure is dicated by the accuracy of associated measurement systems such as structure and acoustic intensity measurements. A strain gauge bridge system has been developed to measure structure intensity of thin plate. Its performance is tested by experiments.

  • This study is an measurement and prediction of transmission loss through dash panel with multi-path in a vehicle. Measurement results of transmission loss are derided by sound power measured using the sound intensity method under locating a sound source in the anechoic room and reverberant room, respectively. Prediction one is decided by multi-path analysis of dash panel composed by a various part of materials and complicated shape. Finally, two results show a great agreement between measured and predicted transmission loss.

  • Machine parameters need to measure in advance for vector control and theoretical analysis. Therefore, we present the machine parameter measurement scheme, considering stator iron loss, by the single-phase test at standstill condition. Using this method, the d-q axis inductances and the equivalent iron loss resistance in the voltage equation considering stator iron loss are easily measured. This method is simple and does not need to use complex theory and expensive equipment.

  • Estimating loss rates with the packet traces captured from some point in the middle of the network has received much attention within the research community. Meanwhile, existing intermediate-point methods like [1] require the capturing system to capture all the TCP traffic that crosses the border of an access network (typically Gigabit network) destined to or coming from the Internet. However, limited to the performance of current hardware and software, capturing network traffic in a Gigabit environment is still a challenging task. The uncaptured packets will affect the total number of captured packets and the estimated number of packet losses, which eventually affects the accuracy of the estimated loss rate. Therefore, to obtain more accurate loss rate, a method of strengthening packet loss measurement from the network intermediate point is proposed in this paper. Through constructing a series of heuristic rules and leveraging the binomial distribution principle, the proposed method realizes the compensation for the estimated loss rate. Also, experiment results show that although there is no increase in the proportion of accurate estimates, the compensation makes the majority of estimates closer to the accurate ones.

  • Variable iron loss as function of current phase angle of Interior Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor(IPMSM) was calculated through Curve Fitting Method(CFM). Also, a magnetic flux density distribution of iron core according to current phase angle was analyzed, and an iron loss calculation was performed including harmonic distortion. The experiment was performed by production of non-magnetizing model for the separation of mechanical loss, and the iron loss was calculated by the measurement of input using power analyzer and output power using dynamometer. Some error was generated between experimental results and calculation value, but an iron loss diminution according to current phase angle followed a same pattern. So, errors were generated by measurement, vibration, noise, harmonic distortion loss, etc.

  • This study is aimed to evaluate a tunneling effect in association with the measurement of sound transmission loss. Based on the formulation for sound transmission loss of a finite panel in the presence of tunnel, variations of the sound transmission loss with parameters such as the location of panel and tunnel depth are investigated. It can be seen that differences in the sound transmission loss are quite evident below coincidence frequency and the sound transmission loss greatly depends on panel location in the tunnel. In comparison with the case without a tunnel, maximum difference occurs in the case where the panel is placed on the center of the tunnel and the flushing with the end of the tunnel gives the better estimation of transmission loss.

  • Silencers are extensively used for reducing noise in an exhaust system of internal combustion Engine and fluid machineries. The prediction and measurement of the transmission loss as the acoustic performance of silencers are important in early design stage. In the measurement of transmission loss, the semi-anechoic terminations are general used for reducing unwanted effects by reflecting wave. However it is very hard to remove reflecting wave perfectly. So the research about the error made by reflecting wave is important. The analysis about errors made by reflections and modification techniques are proposed. For an application example, the diesel particulate filter (DPF) is chosen. The transmission loss of DPF is measured with and without considerations of reflecting wave.
