후판용접부의 잔류응력과 횡균열의 상관관계 (The relationship between residual stresses and transverse weld cracks in the plate)

  • The transverse crack, a type of cold crack, occurs perpendicular to the axis of the weld interface, longitudinal residual stresses ($\sigma$k direction) are more important in transverse crack occurrence from my own experience. Specimens were fabricated and welded under actual construction conditions, and then residual stresses of longitudinal stresses were measured for different welding conditions with SAW and FCAW process. The residual stress values for the specimen welded Interpass temperature below 30$^{\circ}C$ was higher than the specimen welded interpass temperature of 100~120$^{\circ}C$. And also the residual stress values for a specimen measured at weld surface, as welded condition, was higher than that of longitudinal residual stresses that was measured from a small test piece, due to the residual stress was relieved in the process of the cutting and machining. Transverse weld cracks were detected in the area of the maximum residual stresses both SAW and FCAW process.

Joint latent class analysis for longitudinal data: an application on adolescent emotional well-being

  • This study proposes generalized models of joint latent class analysis (JLCA) for longitudinal data in two approaches, a JLCA with latent profile (JLCPA) and a JLCA with latent transition (JLTA). Our models reflect cross-sectional as well as longitudinal dependence among multiple latent classes and track multiple class-sequences over time. For the identifiability and meaningful inference, EM algorithm produces maximum-likelihood estimates under local independence assumptions. As an empirical analysis, we apply our models to track the joint patterns of adolescent depression and anxiety among US adolescents and show that both JLCPA and JLTA identify three adolescent emotional well-being subgroups. In addition, JLCPA classifies two representative profiles for these emotional well-being subgroups across time, and these profiles have different tendencies according to the parent-adolescent-relationship subgroups.

잠재성장모형을 활용한 탈북청소년의 사회자본과 학교적응 간 종단관계 분석 (The Longitudinal Relationship between Social Capital of North Korean Migrant Youths and School Adjustment: A Latent Growth Modeling Approach)

  • 본 연구는 탈북청소년 교육 종단연구 3-5차년도 자료를 사용하여 탈북청소년의 사회자본과 학교적응의 변화 및 그 관계를 종단적으로 분석하고자 수행되었다. 잠재성장모형 분석을 실시한 결과, 탈북청소년의 사회자본이나 학교적응은 고정된 것이 아니라 시간의 경과와 함께 변화하는 것으로 드러났다. 이 같은 변화에서 뚜렷한 평균적인 흐름은 발견되지 않았으나 변화의 개인차는 존재하는 것으로 파악되었다. 한편 탈북청소년의 초기 사회자본은 당시의 학교적응에는 영향을 미치지만, 학교적응의 변화에까지 지속적으로 영향을 주지는 않는 것으로 확인되었다. 탈북청소년의 학교적응 변화는 그들의 사회자본이 어떻게 달라지는지에 의해 영향을 받는 것으로 밝혀졌다. 이러한 결과는 탈북청소년의 사회자본을 강화시킴으로써 그들의 학교적응 수준도 점진적으로 개선시킬 수 있는 여지가 있음을 시사한다.

악골의 전후방 관계를 평가하는 계측치변화에 관한 누년적 연구 (A LONGITUDINAL STUDY OF THE CHANCES IN THE ANTEROPOSTERIOR APICAL BASE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN 6 AND 13 YEARS OF AGE)

  • To help arrive at a more accurate diagnosis of anteroposterior apial base relationship on each individual case, it is important to compare the interpretation in the same population on a longitudinal basis. The author studied on the changes of the anteroposterior apical base relationship using serial lateral cephalometric roentgenograms of 15 boys and 27 girls aged from 6 to 13 years of Korean children. Following results were obtained 1. Norms of Korean boys and girls were established. 2. With ages, there was a gradual decrease of ANB, AXB angle, and there was a gradual increase of facial angle, A-B plane angle, APDI. 3. Wits appraisal does not change significantly with ages. 4. No significant differences were observed in the changes between male and female subjects for all absolute values between the ages of 6 years and 12 years, but significant differences were observed in ANB, AXB, A-B plane angle of the age of 13 years. No significant differences were observed in the changes between male and female subjects for all incremental values between the ages of 6 years and 13 years.

영아의 차례 맡기와 어휘발달 관계에 대한 단기 종단연구 (One Year Longitudinal Study of the Relationship between Infants' Turn-Taking and Vocabulary Development)

  • The purpose of this study was to examine the relationship between infants' turn-taking and vocabulary development during a one-year longitudinal study. Participants of this study included 46 infants who participated in both of the 1st and the 2nd tests. The infants' turn-taking frequencies were observed during mother-infant's free play for 10 minutes. The infants' vocabulary was investigated with MCDI-K for the 1st test and PRES for the 2nd test. The collected data were analyzed using both t-test and Pearson's correlation. The research results were as follows: First, the turn-taking frequencies and vocabulary of infants increased with age groups. Second, there was positive relationship between the turn-taking and the receptive vocabulary in group A at T1. Third, there were significant differences in receptive vocabulary at T1 and expressive vocabulary at T2 among group A according to the infants' turn-taking levels.

Investigation of bond-slip modeling methods used in FE analysis of RC members

  • Adherence between reinforcement and the surrounding concrete is usually ignored in finite element analysis (FEA) of reinforced concrete (RC) members. However, load transition between the reinforcement and surrounding concrete effects RC members' behavior a great deal. In this study, the effects of bond-slip on the FEA of RC members are examined. In the analyses, three types of bond-slip modeling methods (perfect bond, contact elements and spring elements) and three types of reinforcement modeling methods (smeared, one dimensional line and three dimensional solid elements) were used. Bond-slip behavior between the reinforcement and surrounding concrete was simulated with cohesive zone materials (CZM) for the first time. The bond-slip relationship was identified experimentally using a beam bending test as suggested by RILEM. The results obtained from FEA were compared with the results of four RC beams that were tested experimentally. Results showed that, in FE analyses, because of the perfect bond occurrence between the reinforcement and surrounding concrete, unrealistic strains occurred in the longitudinal reinforcement. This situation greatly affected the load deflection relationship because the longitudinal reinforcements dominated the failure mode. In addition to the spring elements, the combination of a bonded contact option with CZM also gave closer results to the experimental models. However, modeling of the bond-slip relationship with a contact element was quite difficult and time consuming. Therefore bond-slip modeling is more suitable with spring elements.

구속효과를 고려한 철근 콘크리트 기둥의 모멘트-곡률 관계 단순모델 (Simplified Moment-Curvature Relationship Model of Reinforced Concrete Columns Considering Confinement Effect)

  • 이 연구에서는 철근콘크리트(reinforced concrete, RC) 기둥의 휨 거동을 비교적 간단한 방법으로 평가하기 위해서 모멘트-곡률 관계를 단순화하였다. RC 기둥에서 주철근 배근을 이상화하고 힘의 평형조건 및 변형률 적합조건에 기반하여 초기 휨 균열 발생, 인장철근 항복 도달, 최대 내력 및 최대 내력 도달 후 최대 내력의 80% 시점에서의 내력과 중립축 깊이를 산정하였다. 기둥의 최대 내력 이후의 콘크리트 압축연단 변형률은 Kim et al의 구속된 콘크리트 응력-변형률 관계를 이용하여 산정하였다. 단순화된 모멘트-곡률 관계로부터 환산된 기둥의 횡하중-횡변위 관계는 다양한 변수하에서 수행한 기둥 실험결과와 잘 일치하였다. 고려된 각 단계에서의 모멘트와 중립축 깊이는 주철근 지수, 횡보강근 체적지수 및 축력 지수의 함수로 모델링하였다. 결국, 기둥의 곡률 연성은 콘크리트 압축강도 및 주철근과 횡보강근의 양과 함께 작용 축하중비에 중요한 영향을 받았다.

부모의 양육행동 및 또래관계가 아동의 자아개념 발달에 미치는 영향에 관한 종단적 연구 (The Influence of Parenting and Peer Relationship on the Development of Child's Self-Concept : A Longitudinal Study)

  • The purpose of this study was to explore the developmental patterns of self-concept of pre-adolescents and adolescents by using the longitudinal data originated by the Korean Institute for Research in the Behavioral Sciences (KIRBS). Specifically, using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM), the effects of parents and peer groups on the stability and change of self-concept were examined across a 9-year-period. The subjects were 62 children(29 boys and 33 girls) from the KIRBS longitudinal data. The results showed that, peer relationships revealed consistent effects on children's self-concept from pre-adolescence to mid-adolescence. In particular, this influence was most evident at 7 years of age and at 16 years of age. However, parental influence was almost non-existent for 7-year-olds, equivalent to peer relationships for 10-year-olds, and decreased for 16-year-olds. On the whole, parental and peer influence on self-concept gradually decrease in adolescence. Nevertheless, parental and peer influence continue to maintain a certain level of influence from childhood to adolescence. This study provides an understanding of developmental change and stability in the self-concept of Korean adolescents.

가변 롤 성형 공정시 길이방향 변형률에 근거한 제품 형상 설계 기술 개발 (Development of Profile Design Method Based on Longitudinal Strain for Flexible Roll Forming Process)

  • The use of roll-formed products increases every year due to its advantages, such as high production rates, reduced tooling cost and improved quality. However, till now, it is limited to part profiles with constant cross section. In recent years, the flexible roll forming process, which allows variable cross sections of profiles by adaptive roll stands, was developed. In this study, an attempt to optimize profile design for the flexible roll forming process was performed. An equation that predicts the longitudinal strain for part geometries with variable cross-sections was proposed. The relationship between geometrical parameters and the longitudinal strain was analyzed and investigations on the optimal profile design were performed. Experiments were conducted with a lab-scale roll forming machine to validate the proposed equation. The results show that the profile design method proposed in this study is feasible and parts with variable cross sections can be successfully fabricated with the flexible roll forming process.

인쇄기판형 열교환기의 유동방향 전도열전달에 관한 수치해석 연구 (Numerical Analysis on Longitudinal Heat Conduction in Printed Circuit Heat Exchanger)

  • Longitudinal heat conduction is known to be an important factor in the design of a printed circuit heat exchanger(PCHE) for cryogenic applications. Parasitic heat conduction through the heat exchanger frame needs to be considered because it is known to decrease the effectiveness of the heat exchanger. In this paper, a conjugate heat transfer problem in a simple counter-flow PCHE is analyzed by a computational fluid dynamics simulation. The effect of longitudinal conduction in a straight channel is compared with the theoretical effectiveness-NTU relationship that assumes a "thin" heat exchanger frame. The calculation results suggest that the theoretical model is valid in the present calculation conditions where NTU is < 13.
