시간$\cdot$공간적 변화에 따른 장수지수 결정 요인의 특성 (Characteristics of Longevity Factor with Time and Spatial Changes)

  • In this study, we research about the relationships of human longevity and environments, inducted the significant factors of longevity from the statistical analysis, and represented spatial distribution of longevity using geographic information system. The factors confining human longevity can be categorized by geography/geology, climate/weather, economy, and social welfare. After analyzing statistical data, dependent variable which means the longevity index is defined by the ratio of population more than 85 years old among population more than 65 years old. The results of analysis show that longevity are related with waterworks ratio, temperature, local tax ratio, and latitude. In this study we discussed about the spatial characteristics which are represented by variance of the longevity index and described a spatial relationship between the longevity index and significant factors which are chosen by statistical analysis. In the further study, in order to sustain the longevity of a region, it is necessary for the effective rural planning to propagate a longevity of rural areas.

Factor Analysis of Linear Type Traits and Their Relation with Longevity in Brazilian Holstein Cattle

  • In this study we aimed to evaluate the reduction in dimensionality of 20 linear type traits and more final score in 14,943 Holstein cows in Brazil using factor analysis, and indicate their relationship with longevity and 305 d first lactation milk production. Low partial correlations (-0.19 to 0.38), the medium to high Kaiser sampling mean (0.79) and the significance of the Bartlett sphericity test (p<0.001), indicated correlations between type traits and the suitability of these data for a factor analysis, after the elimination of seven traits. Two factors had autovalues greater than one. The first included width and height of posterior udder, udder texture, udder cleft, loin strength, bone quality and final score. The second included stature, top line, chest width, body depth, fore udder attachment, angularity and final score. The linear regression of the factors on several measures of longevity and 305 d milk production showed that selection considering only the first factor should lead to improvements in longevity and 305 milk production.

구조방정식을 활용한 개인연금 가입의 결정요인 분석 (An analysis of determinants of individual's pension purchase using structural equation model)

  • 본 연구는 구조방정식모형 (SEM)을 활용하여 개인연금의 가입에 영향을 주는 심리요인들 간의 인과관계와 장수정서의 매개효과를 실증하고자 하였다. 전국 7대 도시에 거주하는 928명의 일반인을 대상으로 실시한 설문자료를 활용하여 분석하였다. 실증분석 결과 개인연금의 가입에는 장수가능성, 대처효용성, 장수지식 (인지요인), 보험사 신뢰 (사회요인), 금융이해력 (금융요인)이 직접적으로 영향을 주었다. 장수감정, 장수가능성, 국가신뢰, 대처효용성이 장수정서 (두려움과 걱정)에 영향을 주었으나, 장수정서를 매개로 하여 개인연금 가입에는 영향을 주지 못하였다. 본 연구를 통해 보험사에 대한 고객의 신뢰도와 잠재고객의 금융지식수준을 높이는 것이 개인연금의 판매활성화에 중요한 요인임을 재확인하였다. 장수할 가능성을 높게 생각하는 사람들이 개인연금을 가입한다는 사실은 연금보험시장에서도 역선택 가능성이 높음을 보여주었다.

글로벌 기업사례를 통해 본 장수요인 분석 (Global company with a focus on case analysis of the longevity factor)

  • 기업은 시작과 동시에 계속기업을 영위하면서 사회적 책임도 가지게 된다. 하지만 최근 기업의 평균수명이 점점 단축되고 있으며 기업환경 또한 급격하게 변화하고 있다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 글로벌 기업의 장수요인 분석을 통하여 기업의 장수, 즉 계속기업의 해답을 얻고자 하였다. 지멘스와 듀폰의 두 거대 글로벌기업의 장수요인을 분석해 본 결과 그 요인은 사업포트폴리오 변화, 위험관리, 지속적 연구개발, 신뢰경영, 친환경경영등의 요인이 설명되었다. 이는 지속적 내, 외부 환경 분석 및 핵심역량 강화를 통한 책임경영의 구현이 곧 장수경영의 핵심으로 나타나고 있다.

한국의 장수동향과 그의 상관요인에 관한 분석 (The Factors. affecting Longevity and its Changing Trend in Korea)

  • The changing trend of longevity from 1955 through 1985 and its interprovincal variation were studied with longevity rate as indicator. In order to detect the affecting factors of longevity rate, eleven urbanalizational, geographic-environmental, demographic and social-economic variables were employed to carry out multiple stepwise regression analysis. The data used for this study were from Population Census Reports 1955-1985 published by EPB and Year book of Public Health and Social Statistics 1986 published by Ministry of Health and Social Affairs and other reference. Subsequent to that longevity rate decreased during 1950's it has increased continuously by the yeat of 1980's. This trend was especially remarkable in the south area and the GIRI mountain area in Korea. The stepwise regression analysis shows that the longevity rates were significantly associated with the independent variables, and the dependent variables explained at the level of 93.7percent-99.9 percent. Longevity is a reflection of the demographic and socio-economic, environmental and health resourses factor etc., longevity problems cannot be dealt with in isolation. The possible research and services which could be provided by government will be discuss.

일본 시니세를 통해 본 장수요인분석 (Analysis of Longevity Factor through Japan shinise)

  • 최근 기업의 평균수명이 점점 단축되고 있으며 기업환경 또한 급격하게 변화하고 있다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 일본 시니세의 장수요인 분석을 통하여 기업의 장수, 즉 계속기업의 해답을 얻고자 하였다. 시니세의 조사 결과와 함께 도라야, 데이코쿠 두 시니세의 장수요인을 분석해 본 결과 그 요인은 신용과 전통, 고객맞춤상품개발, 경영방식의 변화, 글로벌 시장 개척 등의 요인이 장수의 핵심요인으로 설명되었다. 또한 본 연구에서는 이러한 주요요인을 중심으로 계층적 의사결정기법(AHP)을 이용하여 각각의 사례와 선행연구에서 조사된 요인의 중요성을 분석하여 장수요인에 대한 주요 변수를 예측 및 분석하였다. 그러나 변수선정과 사례의 성공요인이 갖고 있는 한계점 등을 고려해 볼 때 공통적 성공 요인으로 분류하기 위해서는 많은 사례가 필요할 것으로 볼 수 있다. 본 연구는 향후 장수요인을 분석하는데 매우 유용한 지침이 될 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.

Longevity regulation by NMD-mediated mRNA quality control

  • Proper maintenance of biological components is crucial for longevity and healthy aging. Although the role of homeostatic maintenance systems for DNA and protein in longevity is established, it remains largely unknown for RNA. In our recent work, we show that nonsense-mediated mRNA decay (NMD) promotes longevity in the roundworm C. elegans by enhancing RNA quality control. We find that the activity of NMD decreases during aging, raising the possibility that RNA quality declines in old animals. We then show that key components of NMD complex are required for prolonged lifespan in C. elegans. In addition, animals with reduced insulin/insulin-like growth factor-1 (IGF-1) signaling (IIS), a representative longevity model, display increased NMD activity. Thus, up-regulation of NMD appears to play crucial roles in longevity conferred by reduced IIS via enhancing mRNA quality control. As both IIS and NMD pathways are evolutionarily conserved, mammals including humans may be equipped with similar RNA quality control systems to achieve longevity.

코호트 사망률을 이용한 장수채권 가격산출 (Longevity Bond Pricing by a Cohort-based Stochastic Mortality)

  • 본 논문은 평균회귀 2요인 사망률 모형에 코호트 효과를 반영한 개선된 확률론적 사망률 모형을 제시한다. 한국 남자의 사망률 자료를 바탕으로 가중평균최소제곱법과 메트로폴리스 알고리듬을 이용하여 사망률 모형을 추정한 결과 코호트 효과를 반영하는 것이 모형 적합도를 향상시킴을 발견하였다. 국민연금공단과 같은 연금사업자가 자신의 장수위험을 금융시장에 순차적으로 전가하는 수단으로서 옵션방식 이자지급 장수채권의 활용을 제안하고 발행채권의 가격 산출방법을 제시하는 것이 본 논문이 기여하는 점이다. 특히 생존지수에 의해 이자지급 현금흐름이 결정되는 장수채권 가격산출을 위하여 코호트 효과가 매우 중요한 요소임을 강조하였다.

Growth signaling and longevity in mouse models

  • Reduction of insulin/insulin-like growth factor 1 (IGF1) signaling (IIS) extends the lifespan of various species. So far, several longevity mouse models have been developed containing mutations related to growth signaling deficiency by targeting growth hormone (GH), IGF1, IGF1 receptor, insulin receptor, and insulin receptor substrate. In addition, p70 ribosomal protein S6 kinase 1 (S6K1) knockout leads to lifespan extension. S6K1 encodes an important kinase in the regulation of cell growth. S6K1 is regulated by mechanistic target of rapamycin (mTOR) complex 1. The v-myc myelocytomatosis viral oncogene homolog (MYC)-deficient mice also exhibits a longevity phenotype. The gene expression profiles of these mice models have been measured to identify their longevity mechanisms. Here, we summarize our knowledge of long-lived mouse models related to growth and discuss phenotypic characteristics, including organ-specific gene expression patterns.

Longevity Factors of Centenarians in Korea

  • Objectives: The purpose of this paper is to analyze longevity factors of 507 centenarians in the Republic of Korea. Methods: This paper is designed to survey physical, mental, socio-demographic and dietary factors of 507 centenarians. The data was collected by means of telephone interview from 1999 to 2001. The survey directly contacted centenarians who were able to communicate, or contacted the centenarians caregivers. The association between longevity factors of centenarians was verified by odds ratio of logistic regression. Results: Female centenarians appeared to be non-smokers more often than males (OR=4.06, CI=2.06, 7.98). The longevity of persons with a small waist circumference was attributed to health promotion through eating lightly as well as keeping active including walking(OR=2.37, CI=1.36, 4.14). A higher probability for longevity is found among optimists who live a happy life and 1aught every day (OR=26.15, CI=11.61, 58.89). Among centenarians, vegetarians were shown to be light eaters. More ratios of vegetarians among centenarians included those who reside in a rural district, eat bean paste soup everyday, and consume small quantities of meat (OR=5.12, CI=3.24, 8.08). Conclusion: Women, manual workers, under poor to middle economic status, rural residents, optimists, light eaters, vegetarians and non-smokers seemed to have a higher probability of becoming centenarians in The Republic of Korea.
