레스토랑 메뉴 수명주기(Menu Life Cycle) 패턴 분석 - T레스토랑 사례를 중심으로 - (Analysis of the Life Cycle of Menus in Restaurants - A Case Study of 'T' Restaurant -)

  • This study investigated the life cycle of menus and made suggestions on the appropriate time for when new menus should be developed. For this purpose, a total of 636 customers who visited 'T' Restaurant more than 25 times in the past three years were used for analysis. After estimating product life cycles based on sales and selling period, an empirical study was conducted. In terms of product life cycle, a growth stage was observed in the category of pasta and pizza in both stores A and B, whereas sales in the rice category stayed constant. Regarding trend in seasonal sales, a big difference was detected between the two stores. While store A was already in the decline stage of the life cycle in all menu categories, store B remained in the growth stage. In terms of menu life cycle, the product life cycle of long-lived products was observed in the pasta category in both stores A and B. While the pizza category was in the growth stage, the product life cycle of long-lived products was observed in the rice category. It is expected that the results of this study could be useful in development of new menus and product life cycle management to fulfill diverse customer needs in the dining-out business.

Effect of Age Cohort on Life Cycle Financial Planning

  • The paper examined effect of age cohort on life cycle financial planning. A total of 990 questionnaires were distributed with a 55.2% return rate. Seven hypotheses were analysed using hierarchical and ordinary regression analysis. The results revealed that age cohort variables made significant contribution to life cycle financial planning as well as personal orientation towards retirement planning, particularly the younger age cohort. Age cohorts do affect personal orientation towards retirement planning with the confidence level making a significant impact. Current financial resources do have a strong positive impact on consumption for all age cohorts. On the other hand, no significant effect was found between age cohorts and current financial resources but older age cohorts were relatively more significant predictors. The implication was that not only should their individual perceptions of financial planning become an increasingly important part of people's long-term commitment throughout their life-cycle, it must also assume the role as a self-directed life-long learning process, in view of the ever-changing and complicated financial environment.

  • This study is intended to propose a systematic and practical life cycle cost(LCC) model for the development of the reliability-based seismic safety and cost-effective performance criteria for design and upgrading of long-span PC bridges. The LCC models consist of five cost functions such as initial cost, repair/replacement cost, human losses, road user cost, and indirect losses of regional economy. The proposed model Is successfully expressed in temrs of Park-Ang damage indices and life cycle damage probability obtained from SMART-DRAIN-2DX which is an existing algorithm for nonlinear time history analysis. The proposed LCC model is successfully applied to a viaduct constructed by PSM, in Seoul. Based on the observations, the proposed systematic procedure for the formulation of LCC model may be useful for the development of the reliability-based seismic safety and cost-effective performance criteria for design and upgrading of long-span PC bridges.

  • This study applied BIM(Building Information Modeling) technology for Long-life Housing within exterior, interior and building equipment. There has many changes and depression infill material after construction. Therefore to understand establishment of repair and replacement cycle is necessity. In addition, the method of classification is necessary because of construction equipment efficiency. On this study, we will find how can we manage them and establish the repair and repairment cycle by applying BIM technology.

  • Due to the rapid advancement of technologies, a growing number of innovative products with a short life-cycle have been introduced to the market. As the life-cycles of such products are shorter than those of durable goods, the demand variation during the life-cycle adds to the difficulty of inventory management. Traditional inventory planning models and techniques mostly deal with products that have long life-cycles. The assumptions on the demand pattern and subsequent solution approaches are generally, not suitable for dealing with products with short life-cycles. In this research, inventory replenishment problems based on the logistic demand model are formulated and solved to facilitate the management of products with short life-cycles. An extended Wagner- Whitin approach is used to determine the replenishment cycle, schedules and lot-sizes.

장수명 공동주택 유지관리를 위한 프로세스 구축에 대한 연구 (The Development of Maintenance Process in Long-Life Housing)

  • The environment which has been destroyed for the national growth since 1960's would seem to offer infinite resources to human, but now, the existence of human being is threatened by the development thoughtless for the environment. The World Powers have concentrated on green growth with eco-friendly resource since the end of 20th century. Korea suggested that the vision was the low carbon for green growth in 2008. It is necessary to supply Long-Life Housing in the green technology in terms of the sustainable housing development based on various life style, life cycle of the residences, the restrain remodeling and redevelopment in construction. This study is aim to establish the development of maintenance process to make continuous inhabitation of Long-Life Housing that has the separated SI for maintenance, durability, variability and remodeling. The maintenance for Long-Life Housing is very important to have more than 50~70 years the long term of life cycle in comparison with Housing. Also, the roles of manager and user are important parts in Long-Life Housing. The present maintenance for Housing is shift and repair works by the routine maintenance and demage. However, The maintenance for Long-Life Housing should consider movement and flexibility. In addition, Long-Life Housing requires the proper process of maintenance because it is different from Housing in housing concept, design and constructions stage. Therefore this study shows the efficient maintenance process for Long-Life Housing.

장시간 사용된 가스터빈 블레이드의 저주기피로 손상도 평가 (Evaluation of Low Cycle Fatigue Damage of Gas Turbine Blades Used for a Long Time)

  • Ni-base superalloy has excellent resistance to extreme environments such as high temperatures and high stresses and are used as materials for large gas turbines. In this paper, the specimens were taken from the blade that were used for a long time, and their life span was studied by microstructure analysis and avoidance of cursing. The microstructural analysis of the specimens was carried out using a OM and SEM to observe the coarsening, carbides on gamma prime. Low-cycle fatigue tests were performed on new material and airfoil of long time-used blade. The test was conducted under various deformation conditions and temperature conditions of $760^{\circ}C$ and $870^{\circ}C$. The low cycle fatigue test was carried out using the Coffin-Manson equation and the fatigue life was predicted. After the test, crack path and fracture surface were analyzed using SEM.

  • Life cycle costing is one of the most effective cost approaches when we choose a solution from series of alternative so the least long-term cost ownership is achieved. Life cycle costing in railway industry has been focused on the prediction of investment for railway vehicles. But in today, the life cycle cost, LCC, prediction on the aspect of operation and maintenance cost through whole life cycle is highly necessary. In this paper, we present a strategy for the development of life cycle cost estimation software on the aspect of maintenance strategies of railway vehicle. For this purpose, we suggested a structure of LCC software based on the UNIFE LCC model. And we developed a pilot version of software to evaluate the LCC model that we suggested for railway vehicle. We performed LCC analysis on the brake module of metro vehicle in case study and concluded that the software and model developed in this research could enough to support engineers in choosing better cost effective solutions from many alternatives.

생애주기비용 분석을 통한 벽식 구조 공동주택과 장수명 공동주택의 경제성 비교 연구 (A Comparative Study on the Life Cycle Cost of Wall Type Apartment and Beam-Column Structural Apartment)

  • 최근 국토교통부에서는 무분별한 재건축, 재개발로 인한 사회적 비용을 감소시키고 주택의 수명을 늘리기 위해 장수명 공동주택의 도입을 촉구하고 있다. 장수명 공동주택은 기존 아파트 건설에 적용되는 벽식 구조와는 달리 기둥과 보가 연속적으로 이루어진 구조이기 때문에 내구성, 가변성, 유지관리 및 리모델링 용이성 등의 장점을 갖는다. 그러나 장수명 공동주택의 경우 기존의 벽식 구조방식의 주택에 비해 초기 투자비가 다소 상승하는 문제가 있는데, 이는 장수명 공동주택의 보급 확산을 저해하는 요소로 작용하고 있다. 이에 본 연구에서는 건물의 총 생애주기 관점에서 기존의 벽식 구조 공동주택과 장수명 공동주택의 경제성을 비교 분석하였다. 연구 결과 장수명 공동주택의 경우 일반 벽식 구조 공동주택에 비해 초기 신축미용은 약 18% 정도 증가하지만, 50년간의 총 생애주기비용을 산정해보면 벽식 구조 공동주택에 비해 약 7% 정도 경제적인 것으로 나타났다. 즉, 장기적인 측면에서 볼 때 장수명 공동주택의 도입이 경제적 사회적 측면에서 충분히 이점이 있음을 알 수 있었다.

경기순환주기 소비위험과 한국 주식 수익률 횡단면 (Business Cycle Consumption Risk and the Cross-Section of Stock Returns in Korea)

  • Using the frequency-based decomposition, I decompose the consumption growth to explain well-known patterns of stock returns in the Korean market. To be more specific, the consumption growth is decomposed by its half-life of shocks. The component over four years of half-life is called the business-cycle consumption component, and the components with half-lives under four years are short-run components. I compute the long-run and short-run components of stock excess returns as well and use component-by-component sensitivities to price stock portfolios. As a result, the business-cycle consumption risk with half-life of over four years is useful in explaining the cross-section of size-book-to-market portfolios and size-momentum portfolios in the Korean stock market. The short-run components have their own pricing abilities with mixed direction, so that the restricted one short-term factor model is rejected. The explanatory power with short- and long-run components is comparable to that of the Fama-French three-factor model. The components with one- to four-year half-lives are also helpful in explaining the returns. The results about the long-run components emphasize the importance of long-run component in consumption growth to explain the asset returns.
