37층 초고층주상복합건물 SRC기둥의 기둥축소량 현장계측 및 보정법 (Field Measurement and Compensation Method of Column Shortening for SRC Columns in 37-story Residential Building)

  • Long-term axial shortening of the vertical elements of tail buildings results in differential movements between two elements and may lead to the additional moments of connection beam and slab elements, and other secondary effects, such as cracks of partitions or curtain walls. Accurate prediction of time-dependent column shortening is essential for tall buildings from both strength and serviceability aspects. The compensation method is different from reinforced concrete and SRC(Steel Reinforced Concrete) members. The SRC columns are usually compensated according to total differential shortening between two vertical elements. In this study, column shortenings of 37-story W building under construction are predicted and compensated. The SRC column shortenings are compared with the actual column shortening by field measurement and the column shortenings are reanalysed and recompensated.

  • Recently the advent of web 2.0 era is an important trend in the business environmental change. Web 2.0 era means users' active participation, share, and openness, develop 'Internet penetration into everyday life,' and change many aspects of our society. web 2.0 has been making these following changes in the socioeconomic aspects: 1) acceleration of system shift to a small quantity of multi-species production system 2) growing influence of on-line channel/information to consumers 3) various minorities' power increase in the socioeconomic sector. Web 2.0 has been making these following changes in the firms' strategies for information management: 1) increase of external knowledge and information utilization 2) amplification and reproduction of information from customers 3) change of information distribution: pursuit of two-way communication with customers 4) integration of different information/services for business transformation. Firms must squarely look at socioeconomic changes owing to web 2.0, and utilize them for firms' effective information management.

  • KTX is the high speed train which is designed for 300km/h in maximum operation speed. But its long train set may cause unstable characters as swaying of the tail of a train and when the train is running on conventional line, its running safety is a point to be considered cautiously. In this study, we evaluated the running safety by the numerical analysis using VAMPIRE and compared the result with the test result of KHST, which is being in performance tests, for verifying the validity of analysis results

  • The test results for water repellency of paper and paperboard according to KS M 7057 can readily be influenced by an operator's bias. In order to discard such bias, the automatic analysis program of water repellency was developed based on different shape features of a liquid trace formed on a specimen. That is, the shape of a liquid track flowing down on the specimen with an angle of $45^{\circ}$ was evaluated according to width variation between head and tail of the trace($S_{Hr}$), uniformity of a liquid flow($S_{d}$), length of long traces($L_{SHr}$), eccentricity of liquid traces($E_{i}$), and then was recognized as a specific degree of water repellency. Finally, the automatic analysis system of water repellency based upon KS M 7057 made it possible to readily measure water resistance of paper and paperboards classified into R0 to R10.

A new free-living marine nematode species of the genus Phanoderma Bastian, 1865(Enoplida: Phanodermatidae) from the East Sea, Korea

  • A new species of free-living marine nematode is described from intertidal sediments of the East Sea, Korea. Phanoderma koreense sp. nov. is characterized by the presence of well-developed pharyngeal and cephalic capsule, six inner labial sensilla present as minute papillae around with circular groove, long and slender spicules with 4-5 serrated distal end, located at the base of the precloacal supplement, a series of eight to nine stout and short setae on the ventral cloacal region and conico-cylindrical tail with two pairs of blunt setae. In this study, we provide taxonomic descriptions and illustrations of a new species by differential interference contrast microscope and a pictorial key to the valid species of Phanoderma Bastian, 1865. This is the first record of the genus Phanoderma in the East Sea, Korea.

  • Bacillus circulans로부터 mitomycin C처리에 의해 유발되는 Bacteriophage Sigma FA1을 서당밀도균배 원심법 (sucrose gradient centrifugation)에 의해 분리, 정제하였다. Sigma FA1의 감수성숙주에 대한 치사작용은 single-hit 방식이었다. 한편, 세포에 감여된 후 phage DNA는 천천히 분해되기 시작했으며, 본 연구의 결과는 Sigma FA1의 세포에 대한 치사작용이 기존의 것과는 다른 것임을 입증시켰으며, 이는 단 백질분해기능에서 유래되는 듯 했다.

$^{11}B$ NMR study of $M_gB_2$ superconductor

  • $^{11}B$ nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) measurements have been performed to investigate electronic structures and vortex states of $M_gB_2$ superconductor. The central transition shows a narrow peak down to 25 K at 3.15 T. Below 25 K, an extra line starts to show up and dominates. The extra line is broad and asymmetric with a long tail in the high frequency side, which confirms that this originates from vortex pinning below the irreversibility temperature. From temperature evolution of the fraction and linewidth of the broad portion, temperature dependence of coherence length and penetration depth are extracted.

Conventional Female Donor Costume of Cave 79 of Kumtura

  • Cave 79 of Kumtura grottoes, is the best preserved cave, which has an important meaning for research on Uighur costume. This paper is intended to analyze the costume characteristics of female donors in Cave 79 by comparing image materials between Dunhuang murals and other murals in Xinjiang province. In Cave 79, female donor wears red robe with tight sleeve, whose collar is crescent-shaped decorated. Two different opinions are upheld for this decoration. One regards this as the turn-down collar, while the other believes this as decoration on V-neckline. Red robe is quite common in female donors of Xinjiang and Dunhuang murals and a female in fresco is wearing a crown in a triangle red headwear style, regarded as red silk and drooping at head. Female donors wear an extra coat, kame hair clasp, red jacket, light-colored high-waist skirt with a long-tail waistband, and tangerine Pibo (silk ribbon) with scattered small flowers. All these costume styles are commonly-used by Han females. The kame headwear is also the common ornament for Han females and the female's hairstyle is in cone shape on head by a white kame. Current costumes are similar but not completely same.

한국산 Synaphobranchidae과 어류 1 미기록종, Dysomma anguillare (First Record of Shortbelly Eel, Dysomma anguillare(Synaphobranchidae, Anguilliformes) from Korea)

  • 1996년 우리나라의 서해연안에서 채집된 뱀장어목 어류 1종을 동정한 결과 지금까지 우리나라에서는 서식이 확인되지 않았던 Synaphobranchidae과에 속하는 Dysomma anguillare Barnard로 동정이 되었다. 본 종은 외부 형태적으로 D. ophisthoproctus와 유사하나, 상하악의 앞부분은 근육질의 작은 돌기를 가지며, 눈이 퇴화되었고, 체장은 아주 짧고 꼬리가 매우 길며, 항문이 가슴지느러미의 끝 아래에 위치하고 비늘이 없는 점 등이 특징적이다. 본 종은 체장이 짧고 꼬리가 길다는 특징에 따라 한국명을 긴꼬리장어과, 긴꼬리장어속, 긴꼬리장어로 명명하였다.
