Currently, Korea is actually increasing and increasing demand for leisure such as parts for A/S of automobile parts of the car, as well as trends in borrowing and finished parts are also required a steady increase in automobile traffic daetsu. Purpose - As the global product network expands through both internationalization and diversification of the multimodal transportation system, corporate strategies have shifted to emphasize the importance of a high value-added international logistics system. To guide policies and strategies to attract relevant industries, this study aims to analyze the location competitiveness of regional logistics distribution center to serve Northeast Asia. Design/methodology - Multi-criteria techniques are considered to offer a promising framework for evaluating decision-making factors. This paper employed an analytic hierarchy process to analyze the hierarchal structure of determinants for selecting the location of a regional logistics distribution center. Adopting both qualitative and quantitative evaluations, this study suggest political implications for a regional logistics distribution center development, such as the direction of political support, service differentiation and infrastructure development. Findings - This study developed a location competitiveness evaluation model, based on the case study of the major port-cities in Northeast Asia. Evaluation model incorporates five factors underpinning 17 components extracted using factor analysis. The results revealed that the logistics factor is the most significant factor for evaluating the competitiveness of a regional logistics distribution center. The remaining factors were market, costs, and services environment. Comparing qualitative and quantitative evaluations, results provide useful insights for a regional logistics distribution center development in Northeast Asia. Originality/value - This study revealed differences between qualitative and quantitative evaluations. The finding implies that prior works on evaluation models of competitiveness has not successfully measured the gap between quantitative data and expert' evaluations. To overcome this limitation, this paper considered both actual data such as actual distance, cost, the number of companies located, and expert opinions.

This study aims to derive practical suggestions to apply application methods by auxiliary costs, especially application of logistics and customs clearance areas in order to establish EPS support system of auxiliary cost occurred from export/import. For the propose, this study has analyzed types and situation of auxiliary costs, application method by auxiliary costs, payment situation of logistics auxiliary costs and clearance auxiliary costs and suggested the relevant problems and their application methods. Especially, in case of logistics auxiliary costs through connection to the attached general documents required for negotiation by reflecting characteristics of B2B transactions. In addition, it has suggested that those services by the said system should be conveniently used commonly by the export companies and logistics companies through provision of various payment measures, support of foreign currency payment, etc. and security of reliability/system stability, etc. for the compatible payment with other systems as the prerequisite for the successful settlement of the auxiliary costs EPS. It is expected that satisfaction of the uTradeHub users such as export/import companies and logistics companies will be increased, user-oriented customized information services such as raw cost prediction service through calculation of auxiliary costs could be available in the future and efficiency of work processes related to auxiliary costs will be increased, by providing the EPS through various single window based payment measures through establishment of the export/import auxiliary costs payment system.

Hai Phong is the important transportation hub of the northern Vietnam with many advantages. Hai Phong can connect with orthers provinces by road, railway, airport, seaport system and inland waterway. So far, Hai Phong is develop so fast However, Hai Phong's logistics services are still low level and less competitive. The human resources are lacking of experiences and also low quality, the logistics enterprises are small, low capital and they can not compete with foreign companies. Further more, the infrastructure are invested but there are still have some problems inside. This paper has assessed and systemized the situation of development of Hai phong.

As Gyoto Agreement, the Climate Change Agreement, has become effective, total weight restriction on waste has started in each country and environment issue becomes one of the most important global issues. Therefore, environmental logistics became important matter, and industries need to establish production system for environmental conscious products and services. In this paper, we compare and analyze environmental conscious logistics activity(ECLA) that affect Carbon Dioxide Discharge(CDD) and packaging waste caused by logistics activity in Korea and Japan. We also propose the optimal alternative to the problem by this comparison and analysis.

Over the last two decades, Vietnam's record on economic growth was remarkable, with a lot of potential to develop, Vietnam's GDP per capita growth has been among the best in the world. City logistics play a crucial role in Vietnam's economy, the more effective these services are the more competitive of the industry and trade of each country is. However, the logistics system in Vietnam is spontaneous and lacking professionalism. This paper aims to analyze Vietnam's economy overview and evaluate the development of logistics in three big cities of Northern Vietnam by using a set of criteria used in the TOPSIS method. .As a result of the analysis, the value of Ci* for storage and transportation is 0.91, which is the highest value in Hanoi.

East Asia has played an important role in the economic and social development in the Asian pacific region and in the global arena. In the region the impact of companies centralizing their logistics activities around a few distribution centers has already led some leading ports such as Singapore, Hong Kong to transform and expand their functions and business activities to provide port users with value added logistics services. Other ports in the region also have an important part to play in the total logistics Chain. In these environments, the maritime activities of Jang BoGo, who was the maritime king of the commercial maritime empire in East Asia in the 9th century, give many implications to the international logistics network strategy that Korea has to take in order to become a power of International Logistics. Though the trading and economic environments at that time may be quite different from today, the super-national maritime management pattern that Jang Bo-go, founder of the Northeast Asian maritime trading kingdom devised, gives us many implications in the global trading and economic environments, in the respects of overseas direct investment and international logistics. Accordingly, the paper aims to examine the establishment of hub port in Northeast Asia, modelled after the maritime network management strategy of Jang BoGo.

The trend of globalization leads an increased need for international freight transportation and accelerates the development of the international logistics industry. The objective of this paper is to identify the critical factors that affect the choice of logistics service provider (LSP). The data sample was collected through a questionnaire, responded by 218 companies that outsource logistics services. The analysis uses descriptive statistics; exploratory factor analysis (EFA) and regression analysis were conducted with SPSS. The role of capabilities, customer service, and company reputation were evaluated and tested. Our findings show that capabilities and customer service have a considerable impact on the choice of LSP. The findings also indicate that company reputation do not have significant impact on the choice of LSP. They also showed that the capabilities is the variable that has the most significant effect on the choice of LSP. An implication of this study is that the competition should not only focus on pricing, but should be extended to improving enterprises capabilities, i.e., upgrading human resources, modernizing the modes of transportation, expanding business geographically and developing new technologies. Our study provides LSP managers with insights into how to meet customer expectations in the competitive logistics service sector.

Purpose: With the rapid development of e-commerce, logistics services, as an important part of e-commerce shopping, have gradually attracted people's attention. Customer engagement behavior is a new topic in marketing, and its connotation is still being explored. The purpose of this paper is to study the relationship between logistics service quality and customer engagement behavior. Research design, data and methodology: This study employed the method of online questionnaire survey, with Chinese e-commerce platform users as the survey objects, 248 valid survey sample data were collected, and the method of factor analysis and structural equation model analysis was used to verify the research hypothesis model constructed in this paper. Results: The four dimensions of e-commerce logistics service quality have different influences on customer satisfaction, and the influence of availability on customer satisfaction is not significant. Convenience, assurance, and security have a significant positive impact on customer satisfaction; Customer satisfaction has a significant positive impact on the three dimensions of customer engagement behavior: customer repeat purchase behavior, online word-of-mouth, and customer referrals. Conclusion: The results of this study will provide useful reference for the managers of e-commerce companies to improve customer engagement behavior by improving the logistics service quality.

Purpose: This study explores the effect on supply chain agility and logistics performance of building mutual trust between manufacturing companies that have adopted supply chain management. Previous studies have categorized trust into affective and cognitive types, and speed, flexibility, and responsiveness are recognized as subfactors of supply chain agility. Methodology: A survey gathered responses from employees of domestic manufacturing firms with supply chain management implementations. 254 valid responses underwent statistical analysis using structural equation modeling (SPSS 23.0 and AMOS 23.0). Results: Affective trust positively influences speed and responsiveness but not flexibility. Cognitive trust positively affects speed, flexibility, and responsiveness. Supply chain agility positively impacts logistics performance. However, neither affective nor cognitive trust significantly influences logistics performance. Conclusions: The study suggests that cognitive trust based on capabilities is more important than affective trust for flexibility in corporate relationships, a subfactor of supply chain agility. However, trust alone cannot enhance corporate performance. This research is significant as it examines the roles of trust and agility in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic, which has exacerbated the manufacturing business environment.
