It is recommended that the door of control room is closed during radiography to protect a radiologic technologist. However, for those patients such as of emergency or pediatrics, the door must be kept open unavoidably to apply immediate medical administration and treatment on the potential case of emergency which could be happened through the course of radiography. In addition, it could be efficient by reducing patients waiting time when the door is open for a general case. This study was conducted to evaluate practical exposure rate to a radiologic technologist when the door is open during the radiography, and to find out the ways to minimize radiation exposure and to increase the efficiency simultaneously. Measuring practical exposure rate was fulfilled with glass dosimeter, and it was 2.02 mGy/week at the location of radiologic technologist under the condition that the door is open during the radiography, which was about 2.3 times higher than the 100 mR/week. It means that the considerable amount of scattered rays through the door opening, and increase exposure rate at the radiologic technologist. Hence we confirmed that a radiologic technologist probably overexposed if the door is open during the radiography. It was also confirmed by the Monte Carlo simulation that the exposure rate could be reduced up to approximately 1/100 by change only the door opening direction. In conclusion, since the proper door opening direction provides same shielding effect whether it is open or close, the door opening direction need to be considered when it is installed at radiography facilities.
This investigation was to analyse normal protrusive and lateral condylar pantographic records written on the sagittal plane and to study components of Fisher's angle and their interrelations. The purpose of this study was limited to (1) discussing the significance of sagittal pantographic record in diagnosis of occlusal disease and(2) basing for reasoning validity of measuring Fisher's angle which has been reported so far. As a result followings were concluded. 1. In each protrusive and lateral condylar movement path, five complicate factors such as initial straightness, distributed simple sigmoid type, simple curvature, initial tiny protruding convexity and tiny repeated sigmoid patterns were noted. Generally each condylar movement path was composed of two to three of these factors. 2. The distribution of positional interrelations of protrusive and lateral condylar paths could be divided into five categories; (a) protrusive-upper, (b) completely coinciding, (c) partially initial coinciding, (d) partially inverted crossing, and (e) completely inverting. Among these, protrusive path-upper positioned condyles were prevailed (79.2%). 3. The distribution of interrelations of protrusive and lateral condylar paths could be devided into five categories according to their distances in the course of movement. Among these, opening (95.8%) and paralleling (66.7%) were prevailing. 4. The involved number of characteristic heterogenous patterns of five categories in protrusive and lateral condylar movement recording relations at one simultaneous recordings was limited to three. However, in case of homogeneous patterns were repeated, usually three to four were included. 5. The maximum distance between protrusive and lateral condylar paths was 1.45mm at the location of 4mm advanced position from centric relation point and 3.90mm at the location of protrusive movement terminal. 6. It seemed to be that ,pantographic records should be consulted other clinical symptoms in order to make certain occlusion diagnosis. 7. At the present moment of investigation, expressing Fisher's angle as a degree revealed a lack due to inherent complexity of protrusive and lateral condylar movement paths. 8. The typical pattern of protrusive and lateral condylar paths written on a pantographic sagittal plate might be described as follows; (a) protrusive condylar path should be positioned upwardly, (b) both mainly be simple curvature, (c) interrelations mainly be opening or paralleling. 9. The mean amounts of separation between protrusive and lateral condylar movement path were $0.75{\pm}0.46$ at 4mm advanced location from centric relation and $1.74{\pm}0.64mm$ at the location of protrusive path terminal.

In areas such as trade area analysis and urban planning, the maturity assessment of central places is important information to be taken into account for rational decision-making. In this study, 3 business areas, typical retail businesses (retail, personal service, food and beverage), are extracted from year 2004 and 2009 phone books, and centrality index and location quotients for 3 business areas are calculated. Using these outputs growth, declination, and maturation of central places are figured out, then comparing and analyzing these results assessment method for central places is proposed. As a result, it is known that the maturity of central place, such as growing, declining, and maturing, can be assessed by comparing the location quotients of 3 retail business areas. In growing central place, location quotient of food and beverage business is much higher than others, and in maturing central place, that of retail business is much higher than others. Assessment results of central places are very useful, as an important index, to determine branch opening or select business area, in trade area analysis.

This paper deals with survival facility location problem(SFLP) that the store with less of demand threshold level is closed result from another new establishment of store in the same kind of comparative firms have a monopoly market. We will be faced with a difficult problem when a new establishment stores in market saturation that the closed stores more than opening stores. Serra et al. proposes recursive heuristic concentration algorithm, and Han et al. suggests maximum insurance of customer location. But the drawback of these algorithms is a recursively computation for many locations. This paper get the solution from only neighborhood search of comparative firm's stores that can be maximum customers and closed comparative firm's store, and the location with minimum customer exchange to the location that can be closed the comparative firm's store with maximum customer. The advantage of this algorithm is to get the solution using a MS-Excel.

A prevalence of temporomandibular disorders(TMD) based on the clinical sign and symptom in 155 patients were investigated. History taking with interview chart and clinical examination were performed. Age and gender of the patients, duration of TMD, location of pain, joint sound, limitation of mouth opening and more detailed diagnostic name were identified. The results of this study were as follows: 1. TMD was more prevalent in female than in male. TMD was the most prevalent at the age of 20s and decreased with age. 2. Acute TMD was more prevalent than chronic one. 3. About ninety percent of TMD patients had pain. Pain had mainly a unilateral origin. Muscle pain was mainly related with the masseter muscle. 4. Joint sound was identified in about fifty-six percent of the TMD patients and unilateral joint sound was more prevalent than bilateral one. 5. Limitation of mouth opening was observed in about forty percent of the TMD patients. 6. In TMD patients, muscle dysfunction was the most prevalent one. In muscle disorders local muscle soreness was the most prevalent one. In joint disorders, capsulitis was the most prevalent one. In muscle-joint disorders, trigger point pain with retrodiscitis was the most prevalent one.
This is a retrospective study on 219 patients with mandibular fracture. The patients were treated in the Dept. of Oral Maxillofacial Surgery of WON KWANG UNIV. HOSPITAL from Aug. 1, 1984 to Sept. 30. 1988. The results were as follows. 1. The mandibular fractures occured most frequently in the twenties(35%) and male were predominant (74.7%) than females. 2. The most frequent etiologic factor was traffic accident(34.3%). 3. The most common location of fracture was symphysis(37.1%). And angle(27.6%), condyle(25.7%), ramus(1.6%) were next in order of frequency. 4. In mandible fracture, they have an average 1.8 fracture line. 5. The use of plate & screw system were more increased in the comparison of each year. 6. Intermaxillary fixation period was more reduced from the concept of 6 weeks fixation, due to the use of Plate & screw system. 7. Postoperative acute wound infection was developed 9.6% in 219 mandibular fracture patients. The compression osteosynthesis was most common cause of acute wound infection than any other treatment method. 8. Postoperative malocclusion was developed 4% in 219 mandibular fracture. And the compression osteosynthesis was most common cause of malocclusion. 9. Acute wound infection was detailed by the approach method. The Intraoral & extraoral combination method was most common cause on acute infection and intraoral, extraoral approach method was next in order of frequency. 10. Normal mouth opening process was proportioned to IMF period. The short IMF period have a fast normal mouth opening process.
This study was prepared for the purpose of restorative consideration such as the construction background, scale, and location of buildings by comparing the historical materials of two countries, Korea and Japan, focusing on Choryanggaeksa. Choryanggaeksa was a building with a special purpose installed in Dongnaebu in the late Joseon Dynasty, and was also a space exclusively for Japanese envoys. When Choryangwaegwan, the only place of diplomacy and trade with Japan in the late Joseon Dynasty, moved in 1678, Choryanggaeksa was also built and continued until its function ceased due to the modern opening of the port. As diplomacy and trade with Japan take place in the category of Choryangwaegwan, the existence of an interpreter takes an important place. Therefore, Seongsindang, a space for interpreters, was built near Choryanggaeksa. When the modern port opened in 1876, Choryanggaeksa and Seongsindang lost their original function, but the building remained. However, after the 1890s, a Superintendent office was built on the site of Choryanggaeksa, and a school was established on the site of Seongsindang. It was destroyed when the site of Choryanggaeksa and Seongsindang was converted during the opening of the port, and its remains cannot be found today due to urbanization.
In order to improve osseointegration of dental implants with bone we studied an implant with holes inside its body to deliver bioactive materials based on a proposed patent. Bioactive materials can be selectively applied through holes to a patient according to diagnosis and the integration progress. After the bioactive material is applied, bone can grow into the holes to increase implant bonding and also enhance surface integration. In order to improve the concept and study the effect of bioactive material injection on implant integration, design optimization and integration research were undertaken utilizing the finite element method. A 2-dimensional simulation study showed that when bone grew into the holes after the bioactive material was injected, stress vertically distributed in the upper part of the implant was relieved and mild stress appeared at the opening of the injection holes. This confirmed the effect of the bioactive material and the contribution of the injection holes, but the maximum stress increased ten-fold at the opening. In order to reduce the maximum stress, the size, location, and the number of holes were varied and the effects were studied. When bioactive materials formed an interface layer between the implant and the mandible and four holes were filled with cortical and cancellous bones all the stress concentrated opposite to the loading side without holes disappeared. The stresses at the four outlets of the holes was mildly elevated but the maximum stress value was ten-fold greater compared to the case without the bioactive material.

For many industrial problems originating from aerodynamic noise, noise prediction techniques, reliable and easy to apply, would be of great value to engineers and manufacturers. General algorithm is presented for the prediction of internal flow-induced noise from quick opening throttle valve in an automotive engine. This algorithm is based on the integral formula derived by using the General Green Function, Lighthill's acoustic analogy and Curle's extension of Lighthill's. Novel approach of this algorithm is that the integral formula is so arranged as to predict frequency-domain acoustic signal at any location in a duct by using unsteady flow data in space and time, which can be provided by the Computational Fluid Dynamics Techniques. This semi-analytic model is applied to the prediction of internal aerodynamic noise from a throttle valve in an automotive engine. The predicted noise levels from the throttle valve show good agreement with actual measurements. The results show that the dipole noise is dominant in this phenomena and the origin of noise sources is attributed to the anti-vortex lines formed in the down-stream from a throttle valve. This illustrative computation shows that the current method permits generalized predictions of flow noise generated by bluff bodies and turbulence in flow ducts.
