인터넷 GIS 환경에서 위치정보 보호에 관한 연구 (A Study of Privacy Protection of Location Information in Internet GIS Environment)

  • GIS와 정보통신기술과 연계된 위치기반서비스는 개인의 위치정보를 측정하고 이용한다. 위치정보는 특정된 개인의 현재 위치와 그 위치를 통한 개인의 행동 등을 추정할 수 있는 정보로서 프라이버시 침해 가능성이 매우 높은 정보이므로 강력한 보호 제도가 필요하다. 이러한 배경에서 정보통신부가 추진하고 있는 위치정보보호법안은 개인정보 보호와 위치기반서비스 사업 활성화라는 상충되는 두 가지 목적에 대한 합의점을 제대로 찾지 못하고 있어 실질적인 개인정보 보호 대책으로 부족하며 지속적 보완이 필요하다. 본 연구는 효과적인 지리정보의 유통과 활용의 관점에서 개인의 위치정보 보호 문제를 고찰하고 합리적인 대안을 모색하였다.

  • 이동통신 환경에서 위치기반 정보시스템은 많은 서비스 이점을 보유하고 있다. 아직까지 스마트폰과 같은 모바일 기기 운영체계에서 개인위치정보의 보호에 대한 프라이버시 구조는 많이 연구되어 있지 않다. 본 연구는 위치기반서비스 관련 기술, 산업, 표준화, 법제 현황 및 위치정보 보호 방안 연구 현황을 분석하였다. 따라서, 위치정보법에서 시행하는 위치정보 사업자 또는 위치기반서비스 사업자 신고를 하지 않은 사업자 및 애플리케이션 개발자에 대하여 개인위치정보에 대한 보호 방안을 제시하고 스마트 폰 운영체제에서 개인위치정보 보호 관련 기술 규격에 대한 조사 및 분석을 수행하였다. 본 연구의 목적은 국내 위치정보법 내에서 허가되지 않은 서비스 사업자 및 애플리케이션 개발자에 대한 개인위치정보를 사용자 스스로 보호할 수 있어야한다는 취지에서 자기제어 방안을 개발함에 있다. 연구 결과, 윈도우폰 플랫폼에서 개인위치정보 주체의 자기제어 방안에 대한 가능성을 검증하였다. 특히, 신고하지 않은 위치정보 및 위치기반서비스 사업자와 애플리케이션 개발자가 현재 서비스 중이거나 서비스를 개발 중인 시스템에서의 사용자 스스로의 자기제어 방안을 제시하였다.

Numerical analysis results of the cathodic protection for the underground steel pipe by anode installation method

  • This study aims to find out the best anode location for buried pipelines. Numerical simulation program known as CATPRO (Elsyca, Belgium) were used for confirming the best location of anodes and the effects of impressed current cathodic protection system. Applied conditions for numerical simulation were similar to on-site environmental conditions for optimal application of cathodic protection system. Used criterion of cathodic protection was NACE SP 0169, which describes that minimum requirement for cathodic protection is -850mV vs. CSE. Various layouts for anodes' installation were applied, which were distance between anodes, anode installation location, and applied current. The areas where cathodic protection potential was lower than -850mV vs. CSE was limited up to 50m from anode installation locations. It was founded numerical analysis obtain cost-effective and efficient cathodic protection methods before design and application the impressed cathodic protection system to on-site environment.

Environmental Radiation Protection in Medical Institutions

  • The study aimed to measure the levels of radiation protection for radiologists in medical institutions in three environmental categories (physical, administrative and social) and to establish a data base which can be used to increase awareness of environmental radiation protection in medical institutions within Korea. The study surveyed 10% of radiologists working in radiology departments in medical institutions which are supervised by the National Dose Registry overseen by the Korean Food and Drug Administration(KFDA). This study found that the level of environmental radiation protection was higher in the capital area and in larger hospitals. On the other hand, the study shows environmental radiation protection was lower in the Youngnam area and in clinics. Results from the questionnaires indicate the level of environmental radiation protection was higher when radiologists were given an individual dosimeter but lowest when the radiation protection apron quality test was conducted. Environmental radiation protection is an important factor for radiologists to conduct activities in a safe and protected environment. However, this study shows there are differences in the level of environmental radiation protection in medical institutions and location within Korea. In particular, the level of environmental radiation protection was lower in clinics, appropriate intervention strategies befitting these conditions are needed based on medical institution classification and location in order to improve the level of environmental protection.

유비쿼터스 환경에서 공간정보 활용에 따른 고객의 지각된 위험, 서비스 품질과 고객만족의 구조적 관계 연구 (A Study on the Causal Relationship of Perceived Risks, Service Quality and Customer Satisfaction in Ubiquitous Environment by Using Spatial Information)

  • The Location Based Services (LBS) comprise spatial information and mobile technology allow users to receive various services based on Global Positioning Systems (GPS). Although, spatial information based services are very useful, it has lots of possibility to damage privacy protection. But the contents of the legislation by government have problems conflicted between protection of a person's location information and invigoration LBS. Therefore, in this study suggest a causal model to deal with user satisfaction and factors affecting spatial information based services to customer perspective. The proposed research model is tested empirically with one hundred and forty one usable questionnaires and partial least square (PLS) method. Experimental results showed that the usefulness, playfulness, and service quality play a prominent role in influencing the spatial information services satisfaction compared to other factors. But, easy of use and perceived risk are not significant.

  • The activity concentration of primordial radionuclides i.e., $^{238}U$ series, $^{232}Th$ series and $^{40}K$, in soil samples collected from Udagamandalam environment, have been measured by employing NaI (Tl) Gamma ray Spectrometer. The absorbed gamma dose rate has also been simultaneously measured by using both Environmental Radiation Dosimeter at each soil sampling location (ambient gamma dose) as well as from the gamma dose derived from the activity concentration of the primordial radionuclides. The results of activity concentration of each radio nuclides in soil, absorbed dose rate in air due to soil activity and possible cosmic radiation at each location along with human effective dose equivalent for Udagamandalam environment are presented and discussed.

Investigation of Design Methodology for Impressed Current Cathodic Protection Optimum System

  • In this paper, physical scale modeling was employed to identify the configurations of ICCP system and the electric field signatures. Computational boundary element modeling technique has been used to simulate the performance of the CP system and to predict the associated electric fields signatures. The optimization methods combined with the computer models and physical scale modeling will be presented here, which enable the optimum system design to be achieved both in terms of the location and current output of the anode but also in the location of reference electrodes for impressed current cathodic protection(ICCP) systems. The combined methodology was utilized to determine optimal placement of ICCP components (anodes and reference electrodes) and to evaluate performance of ICCP system for the 2%, 10% and 14% wetted hull coatings loss. The objective is to design the system to minimise the electric field while at the same time provide adequate protection for the ship. The results show that experimental scale modeling and computational modeling techniques can be used in concert to design an optimum ICCP system and to provide information for quickly analysis of the system and its surrounding environment.

  • In recent years, smart clothing had been developed in order to better detect and monitor physical movement of the patient, so that such activities such as location identification and biometric recognition could be done. However, most of the sensing devices of smart clothing were limited to smart sensing sports clothing and the designs did not consider the physical characteristics and the behavior of the wearer. Therefore, this study aimed to create an open protection system by developing a wearable sensing device for health monitoring and location information. For this purpose, this study developed eleven types of wearable sensing design that could be commercially sold and worn by people who needed their biological information to be constantly monitored. The study conducted four tests in order to develop three types of sensing devices for various sensing wears. The purpose of this study was to expand the user rang of smart sensing wears, and provide a foundation for the development of distinctive wearable sensing devices reflecting the user. Furthermore, contribute to the design for the person subject to protection.

분산 그리드 환경에서 힐버트 커브를 이용한 효율적인 Cloaking 영역 설정 기법 (A Efficient Cloaking Region Creation Scheme using Hilbert Curves in Distributed Grid Environment)

  • 최근 무선 통신과 모바일 측위 기술의 발전으로 위치 기반 서비스(Location-Based Service)의 이용이 확산되었다. 그러나 위치 기반 서비스에서 사용자는 사용자의 정확한 위치를 가지고 데이터베이스 서버에 질의를 요청하기 때문에, 사용자의 위치 정보가 상대방에게 노출될 수 있다. 따라서 모바일 사용자에 의한 안전한 위치기반 서비스의 사용을 위해서는 사용자의 개인 정보 보호 방법이 요구된다. 이를 위해 본 논문에서는 위치기반 서비스에서 사용자의 위치정보를 보호하기 위하여, 분산 그리드 환경에서 힐버트 커브를 이용한 효율적인 cloaking 영역 설정 기법을 제안한다. 제안하는 기법은 K-anonymity를 만족하는 cloaking 영역을 생성하기 위해 힐버트 커브의 특성을 분석하고 이를 통해 이웃 셀의 힐버트 커브값을 계산하여 최소화된 cloaking 영역을 설정한다. 아울러, 네트워크 통신비용을 줄이기 위해 분산 해쉬 테이블 구조인 Chord를 사용한다. 마지막으로 성능평가를 통해서 제안하는 기법이 기존의 그리드 기반 cloaking 기법보다 우수함을 보인다.
