The location-based service is one of the most powerful services in the mobile area. The location-based service provides information service for moving user's location information and information service using wire / wireless communication. In this paper, we propose a model for personalized recommendation system which includes location information and personalized recommendation system for location-based service. For this service system, we consider mobile clients that have a limited resource and low bandwidth. Because it is difficult to input the words at mobile device, we must deliberate it when we design the interface of system. We design and implement the personalized recommendation system for location-based services(advertisement, discount news, and event information) that support user's needs and location information. As a result, it can be used to design the other location-based service systems related to user's location information in mobile environment. In this case, we need to establish formal definition of moving objects and their temporal pattern.

Owing to the change of economic trends, the importance of the tourism industry is growing more and more. In particular, the number of foreign tourists continues to increase and the type of tourists is being changed into FIT (Foreign Independent Traveler). Therefore it is an important issue to provide the effective information to foreign tourists. To solve these problems, a variety of IT technology is being used in the tourism information systems. Especially the location based tour information service is being emerged. This kinds of tourism information service is a type of LBS (Location Based Services). But if the security of the location based tourism information service is not guaranteed, it can lead to many dangers. In this paper, the trends of location based tourism information service are surveyed. Also the security threats and countermeasures for the location based tourism information service are analyzed. This paper suggests secret considerations for the location based tourism information service.

Recently, spread of large amount Smartphones made users to download location-based service applications, which provided by application developers. These location-based service applications are convenient tool for users. Location-based service use technology to find location of user and provide information of user's location. Leakage of information of user's location and expose of privacy life raised new controversy. In this thesis, it will analyze relations of increase of Smartphone market, usage of Location-based service and severity of personal information leakage. Also, it will analyze examples of user's case of damage which caused by leakage personal information and find solutions to reduce damage of personal information leakage. In research, it will find cases of damage that cause by Location-based service. Also it will analyze and research cases of damage and present with graph and chart. In conclusion, to reduce and prevent from damage which caused by leakage personal information, it is important that users and application developers to realize danger of private and personal information leakage. Also, user's personal information must deal with cautiously and application developers have to research and develop the application with powerful security.

Location-based services allow consumers to receive services based on their geographic location data. For example, businesses can provide information to find traffic facility, public restaurant, a hospital, and a station based on the consumer’s location at a particular moment. Also, they wish to grasp a accurate location based service in mobile device or PDA. So, this paper shows that presentation service offers a base-map to be overlaid OpenLS (Open Location Services)’s directory service, route determination service, geocode and reverse-geocode service. The presentation service is the portrayal of a map and portrayal of feature as map overlays.

이동통신망 고도화와 유비쿼터스 센서 네트워크 기술 개발에 따라 상황인지 기반 신규 서비스 모델이 개발되고 있다. 이동통신사업자는 셀 기반의 위치정보를 이용한 친구찾기 서비스 GPS 위치정보를 이용한 텔레매틱스 서비스 등을 제공하고 있다. 최근에는 셀 기반의 위치정보 서비스를 이용한 114 서비스를 제공하고 있다. 본 논문에서는 이동통신망에서 위치정보를 이용한 상황인지 기반의 모바일 맛집 관광 서비스를 개발하였다. 상황인지 기반의 모바일 맛집 관광 서비스는 이동통신망의 LBSP(Location Based Service Platform)로부터 사용자 위치정보, 유선 웹 서버로부터 계절, 시간, 기상 등의 상황정보, 데이터베이스에 저장된 개인 선호 정보 등을 이용하여 최적의 관광 정보를 제공한다. 모바일 맛집 관광 서비스는 WIPI 플랫폼을 이용하여 개발하였다.

스마트폰의 사용이 일상화되면서, 그 휴대성에 의해서 소셜 네트워크 서비스(SNS, Social Network Service) 어플리케이션의 사용이 매우 활발하다. 또한 위치 이동에 따른 정보의 활용이 가능한 위치 기반 서비스(Location based Service)의 수요가 확대되면서 SNS와 결합된 형태의 서비스가 스마트폰의 사용성을 향상시키고 있다. 본 논문에서는 사용자의 위치를 실시간으로 추적하여 이동하는 위치에 따라 작성되어진 SNS를 위한 정보를 자동으로 알려주는 LBSNS(Location Based Social Networking Service)가 가능한 어플리케이션을 구현한다.

본 연구는 LBS(Location Based Service) 기반에 5.8-5.9Ghz RSU를 이용한 실시간 교통 시스템(RTS)에 관한 연구이다. 제안된 LBI(Location based Broadcast system on ITS)는 방송국 T-DMB 시스템과 ITS 기반 실시간 교통 시스템을 융합하고, 노변기지국(RSU:Road Side Unit)을 중심으로 제공되는 운전자를 위한 지역정보 기반 서비스이다. 본 방송국과 ITS의 융합은 IP기반 양방향 통신은 IP 기반으로 이루어지며, RSU를 이용하여 차량 위치의 파악을 통한 LBS(Location Based Service)를 제공한다. 지역 매크로 관리자(LMM)과 지역 방송국과 상호 정보 교환으로 정보 전달의 실시간성과 서비스의 다양성을 제공할 수 있었다. 기존 실시간 교통시스템에서 전송 범위(transmission area)의 한계와 기존 T-DMB의 단방향 서비스 문제를 상호 보완하였다. 이를 통해 개별 운전자의 실시간 양방향 서비스를 제공할 수 있었다. 또한 운전자들에게 실시간 교통 및 지역정보를 제공함으로써 분산효과와 서비스 확대를 제시하였다. 마지막으로 연구소 주변에 테스트 베드 구축과 구현으로 검증하였다.

위치공유기반 서비스(Location-sharing based service)는 사용자가 친구관계를 맺고 있는 다른 사용자와 자신의 위치정보를 공유하는 서비스를 일컫는다. 이 때, 이 위치정보는 서비스 제공자(SP, Service Provider)를 통해 공유되며, 자신의 위치정보는 서비스 제공자에게 노출되게 된다. 이로써 개인의 위치정보가 SP에게 노출되는 프라이버시 문제가 제기되어 왔고, 이를 보호하기 위한 메커니즘들이 제안되었다. 본 논문에서는 위치공유기반 서비스의 종류와 그 특징을 살펴보고, 이를 위한 프라이버시 보호 메커니즘들의 연구 동향을 조사한다. 조사된 기존 메커니즘 분석을 통해, 현 서비스에 적합한 프라이버시 메커니즘 설계 방향 및 향후 연구 방향을 제언한다.

In recent years, one of the main trends of GIS is to construct and provide realistic and human-perceptible information of spatial object using video data. The rapid progress of wireless mobile technology makes the multimedia source using video data possible on mobile environment. Instead of traditional map-based service, video-based location services, that provide video data as location context, would be of interest in connection with various mobile applications requiring location service, such as telematics, LBS, etc. In this paper, we present the location service system using geo-referenced video on wireless mobile environment.

고정 인프라 없이 차량 노드 간 자체적으로 구성되는 차량 애드?혹 네트워크, VANET은 사고 예방과 교통량 통제로 그 사용 목적과 필요성이 분명하게 나타난다. VANET 환경에 적합한 위치 정보 기반 라우팅 기법은 소스 노드가 목적지 노드의 위치 정보를 가지고 있다는 전제를 바탕으로 하여, 위치 정보 제공을 위한 위치 정보 서비스(Location service)가 요구된다. 본 논문에서는 위치 정보 서비스에서의 접근성 문제 및 노드 간 형평성 유지에 관한 문제를 해결하기 위해 최적경로 설정을 위한 그리드 기반 위치 정보 서비스 스팟(Grid-based Location service spot, GLSS) 기법을 제안한다. 이 기법에서 지역을 구성하는 각 그리드에 일정 범위가 LSS로 설정되어, 해당 그리드의 모든 노드들은 위치 정보 등록 및 요청 메시지를 LSS로 Geocast 전송을 하게 된다. 위치 정보 요청 메지시는 LSS 간 확산을 통해 응답 메시지 발신 노드는 그리드 간 최적 경로를 통해 전달을 수행하여 신뢰성 있는 전송을 보장한다. 본 논문에서는 도로 환경과 지형 지물을 고려하여 각 그리드의 LSS를 경유하는 최적 경로 기법과 GPSR을 비교하여 성능 평가를 수행하였다.
