A Research on types of DMB advertising according to features of DMB Media (DMB의 미디어와 기술 특성에 따른 DMB광고 유형과 종류에 관한 연구)

  • For the success of the DMB market to meet consumers' demands for Ubiquitous Media and strengthen the nation's competitiveness, it's inevitable for us to activate DMB advertising as of main profit source for DMB Media, and to develop various types of DMB advertising which are linked to the profit model. So I'd like to look over the various types of DMB advertising which are suitable for DMB features as one of the efforts to activate DMB advertising. First of all, I've figured out what kinds of advertising are available for new media and which related technologies are required for DMB media. Through this research, I could find out what features of new media such as cable broadcasting, Internet and Mobile have become the source of developing various types of advertising and how to a great part to activate new media advertising markets by making the best use of their media features. This research also shows that DMB advertising has the high potential to be developed in various and effective types and kinds of advertising with its media feature and technological feature. This research observing DMB advertising cases showed that DMB advertising can be divided into 6 types such as forms, purposes, techniques, advertising positions, the use of LBS(Location Based Service), coupons and it could be developed into various kinds of DMB advertising dependent on each type. On the other hands, it would be great to have continual researches and follow-ups for various types of DMB advertising and the verification of the effectiveness for DMB advertising by performing potential DMB advertising.

Analysis of the Effect of Pavement Crack Depth of the Cavity Management Grade (포장 균열 깊이가 공동 관리 등급에 미치는 영향 분석)

  • Purpose: The Seoul Metropolitan Government classifies the cavity risks into emergency, priority, general, and observation grades in consideration of the cavity size, asphalt pavement thickness, and pavement depth based on the cavity management grade criteria of Seoul. In this study, the depth of cracking was measured at 17 cracks identified by checking the pavement condition of the cavity at 265 cavities found in the 2019 cavity investigation service. Method: In the first phase, crack width and depth were measured using a vernier caliper, taper gauge, and depth gauge to check the cracks of the identified cavities. In the second phase, the location of the largest crack in the upper road surface was confirmed, and A.C. was drilled to further measure the crack depth. Results: As a result, the cavity management level was raised in nine of the 17 test cavity identified. Therefore, in case of emergency and priority recovery, the grade should be adjusted according to the depth of pavement crack and the thickness of residual A.C. pavement. Conclusion: In the case of cracks in the upper part of the cavity, the crack progression must be determined through the perforation and the remaining asphalt concrete thickness must be determined to determine the cavity grade.

Enhanced SBAS Integration Method Using Combination of Multiple SBAS Corrections

  • In this parer, we propose a new way of improving DGNSS service using combination of multiple SBAS information. Because SBAS uses Geostationary Earth Orbit (GEO) satellites, it has very large coverage but it can be unavailable in urban canyon because of visibility problem. R. Chen solved this problem by creating Virtual Reference Stations (VRS) using the SBAS signal [1]. VRS converts SBAS signal to RTCM signals corresponding its location, and broadcast the converted RTCM signals over the wireless internet. This method can solve the visibility problem cost effectively. Furthermore it can solve DGNSS coverage problem by creating just a transmitter instead of a reference station. Developing above method, this paper proposes the methods that integrate two or more SEAS signals into one RTCM signal and broadcast it. In Korea, MSAS signal is available even though it is not officially certified for Korean users. As a Korean own SBAS-like system, there is the internet-based KWTB (Korean WADGPS Test Bed) which we developed and released at ION GNSS 2006. As a result, virtually two different SBAS corrections are available in Korea. In this paper, we propose the integration methods for these two independent SBAS corrections and present the test results using the actual measurements from the two systems. We present the detailed algorithm for these two methods and analyze the features and performances of them. To verify the proposed methods, we conduct the experiment using the logged SBAS corrections from the two systems and the RINEX data logged at Dokdo monitoring station in Korea. The preliminary test results showed the improved performance compared to the results from two independent systems, which shows the potential of our proposed methods. In the future, the newly developed SBASs will be available and the places which can access the multiple SBAS signals will increase. At that time, the integration or combination methods of two or more SBASs will become more important. Our proposed methods can be one of the useful solutions for that. As an additional research, we need to extend this research to the system level integration such as the concept of the decentralized W ADGPS.

A Study on the use of Word-of-Mouth(WOM) Information in the Customers of Korean Local Food Restaurants: Focused on Jeonbuk Area (향토음식점 이용고객의 구전정보 이용 특성 분석: 전북지역을 중심으로)

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze customers' behavior in using word-of-mouth(WOM) information about Korean local food restaurants. The questionnaire developed for this study was distributed to 500 customers living in Jeonbuk area and a total of 455 copies (91.0%) were used for analysis. The statistical analysis was conducted using SPSS Win(12.0). The results were summarized as follows. The recommendation of people experienced'($M=3.57{\pm}1.24$) and 'word-of-mouth through people around'($M=3.52{\pm}1.20$) were major word-of-mouth information sources of Korean local foods; 'taste of food'($M=4.16{\pm}1.15$) and 'service quality'($M=3.79{\pm}1.11$) were important attributes in word-of-mouth information. In addition, to the question about the reasons for recommending the restaurant to the people around, the most people replied that 'flavor, nutrition and quality of local foods can be kept only in the specific location' ($3.53{\pm}1.08$), followed by 'to keep the memory of the visit to the areas in mind through local foods'($3.51{\pm}1.03$). These results showed that people usually recommend a restaurant based on the quality of the food itself or local characteristics. As a result, it is deemed that word-of-mouth effect is an important factor for the spread of Korean local foods.

GIS and Geographically Weighted Regression in the Survey Research of Small Areas (지역 단위 조사연구와 공간정보의 활용 : 지리정보시스템과 지리적 가중 회귀분석을 중심으로)

  • This study investigates the utilities of spatial analysis in the context of survey research using Geographical Information System(GIS) and Geographically Weighted Regression (GWR) which take account of spatial heterogeneity. Many social phenomena involve spatial dimension, and with the development of GIS, GPS receiver, and online location-based services, spatial information can be collected and utilized more easily, and thus application of spatial analysis in the survey research is getting easier. The traditional OLS regression models which assume independence of observations and homoscedasticity of errors cannot handle spatial dependence problem. GWR is a spatial analysis technique which utilizes spatial information as well as attribute information, and estimated using geographically weighted function under the assumption that spatially close cases are more related than distant cases. Residential survey data from a Primary Autonomous District are used to estimate a model of public service satisfaction. The findings show that GWR handles the problem of spatial auto-correlation and increases goodness-of-fit of model. Visualization of spatial variance of effects of the independent variables using GIS allows us to investigate effects and relationships of those variables more closely and extensively. Furthermore, GIS and GWR analyses provide us a more effective way of identifying locations where the effect of variable is exceptionally low or high, and thus finding policy implications for social development.

위치기반서비스 고도화를 위한 요소 기술 개발

  • 위치기반서비스(Location Based Service)는 갈수록 고도화 되어 가고 있다. 특히 최근의 대형 포털을 중심으로 지오웹 서비스가 활성화 되어 있고 이를 스마트폰과 같은 개인용 이용기기를 통해 연속적으로 제공하려는 경향이 뚜렷하다. 이와 같은 시점에서 정부와 민간에서 구축 중이거나 보유 중인 전국적 규모의 데이터 간 상호 연동과 융합을 도모하려는 시도 또한 불가결하다. 이는 고도화된 LBS를 위하여 반드시 필요한 과정이기 때문이다. 이에 따라 몇 가지 주요한 전국 데이터를 대상으로 상호 연동과 융합을 위한 기술개발을 시도하였다. 우선 도로명주소기본도와 수치지형도 간 POI의 연계를 위한 연구를 수행하고 있다. 이 연구에서는 두도면 내의 POI를 대상으로 다양한 매칭과 이에 기반 한 의사결정 방법론을 이용하여 자동으로 상호 인식 및 연계가 될 수 있도록 하고 있다. 다음으로 지적도와 수치지형도 간의 객체 매칭에 관한 연구이다. 수치지형도와 지적도의 불부합으로 인하여 그 동안 지적도를 수치지형도에 맞춘 형태의 편집지적도를 지속적으로 생산하여 왔고 앞으로도 그럴 것이다. 문제는 여기에 필요한 많은 예산이다. 만일 수치지형도와 지적도를 자동으로 매칭하여 편집지적도를 자동으로 생산할 수 있게 된다면 많은 예산 절감과 함께 편집지적도의 현시성을 확보할 수 있게 될 것이다. 다음으로 항공사진과 도로망도의 매칭이다. 현재 주요 포털에서 제공하고 있는 항공사진 기반의 도로망도는 기복변위와 같은 문제로 인하여 시각적으로 많은 위치오차를 보이고 있다. 만일 항공사진의 도로영역을 자동으로 추출하여 벡터 도로망도와 매칭을 할 수 있다면 보다 시각적으로 안정된 항공사진 상의 도로망도를 제공할 수 있게 되고 나아가 이는 차량이나 보행자 네비게이션에 매우 요긴하게 이용될 수 있을 것이다. 다음으로 서로 LOD가 다른 도로망도의 매칭 문제이다. 많은 기관에서 독자적으로 생산한 도로망도는 LOD의 상이에 기인한 문제가 많아 서로 연계 활용되지 않는다. 이를 자동으로 매칭하여 서로 연계할 수 있다면 두 도로망도가 보유하고 있는 속성정보를 공동으로 이용할 수 있는 이익을 얻게 된다. 다음으로 지도 일반화 기술이다. 지도일반화는 지적도내 수치지형도와 같은 대규모 데이터를 스마트폰과 같은 저용량 사양의 기기에 서비스 할 때 불가결한 기술이다. 지도상 객체들의 기하학적 정보 손실을 최소화하면서 메모리 측면에서 경량의 지도를 자동으로 만들어 낸다면 이는 매우 요긴하게 이용될 것이다. 마지막으로 보행자 네트워크의 생성기술이다. 보행자 네트워크는 그 상세함과 정보용량에 있어서 차량용 네트워크에 견줄 수 없다. 이를 현행의 차량용 네트워크와 같이 수동으로 생성하는 데에는 경제적으로나 시간적으로 막대한 투자가 필요하다. 따라서 이를 기존의 공간정보들을 활용하여 자동으로 생성해 낼 수 있다면 그 파급효과는 매우 크리라 판단된다. 본 발표에서는 위와 같은 주제에 관하여 그간의 연구 성과를 개략적으로 소개해본다.

Simple Mobility Management Protocol Based on P2P for Global IP Mobility Support (글로벌 IP 이동성 지원을 위한 P2P 기반 간단한 이동성 관리 프로토콜)

  • Most of the previous mobility management protocols such as IETF MIPv4/6 and its variants standardized by the IETF do not support global seamless handover because they require partially changes of the existing network infrastructure. In this article, we propose a simple mobility management protocol (SMMP) which can support global seamless handover between homogeneous or heterogeneous wireless networks. To do this, the SMMP employs separate location management function as DMMS to support global user and service mobility and the bidirectional tunnels are dynamically constructed to support seamless IP mobility by using the IEEE MIH extension server, which is extended the IEEE 802.21 MIH standards. The detailed architecture and functions of the SMMP have been designed. Finally, the mathematical analysis and the simulation have been done. The performance results show the proposed SMMP outperforms the existing MIPv6 and HMIPv6 in terms of handover latency, packet loss, pear signal noise ratio (PSNR).

An Efficient Recovery System for Spatial Main Memory DBMS (공간 메인 메모리 DBMS를 위한 효율적인 회복 시스템)

  • Recently, to efficiently support the real-time requirements of LBS and Telematics services, interest in the spatial main memory DBMS is rising. In the spatial main memory DBMS, because all spatial data can be lost when the system failure happens, the recovery system is very important for the stability of the database. Especially, disk I/O in executing the log and the checkpoint becomes the bottleneck of letting down the total system performance. Therefore, it is urgently necessary to research about the recovery system to reduce disk I/O in the spatial main memory DBMS. In this paper, we study an efficient recovery system for the spatial main memory DBMS. First, the pre-commit log method is used for the decrement of disk I/O and the improvement of transaction concurrency. In addition, we propose the fuzzy-shadow checkpoint method for the recovery system of the spatial main memory DBMS. This method can solve the problem of duplicated disk I/O on the same page of the existing fuzzy-pingpong checkpoint method for the improvement of the whole system performance. Finally, we also report the experimental results confirming the benefit of the proposed recovery system.

Shear Buckling Strength and Behaviors of Steel Plate Girder with Asymmetrical Shear Resistant Web Panel by Local Corrosion (국부 부식손상에 의하여 비대칭 전단저항 복부단면을 가진 강거더의 전단강도 및 거동평가)

  • The number of the deteriorated bridge has been sharply increased due to the increase in the bridge service period in Korea. Local corrosion problem of structural member can be occurred according to atmospheric corrosion environments based on the installation location of steel bridges. Especially, in case of the plate girder bridge, corrosion damage is concentrated on the web panel and stiffener at girder end. An asymmetrical shear resistant web section in the plate girder bridge can be caused from the local corrosion of the web panel, because local corrosion is not symmetrically occurred to the bridge. In this study, therefore, the shear buckling strength and behavior of a plate girder with asymmetrically corroded web panel was numerically evaluated using FE analysis, which was considering an aspect ratio and corrosion damage level of web panel. The shear buckling strength reduction of an asymmetrical shear resistant web panel was compared and evaluated according to corroded volume ratio for a web panel and for diagonal tension field of a web panel.

A Novel Scheme for Code Tracking Bias Mitigation in Band-Limited Global Navigation Satellite Systems (위성 기반 측위 시스템에서의 부호 추적편이 완화 기법)

  • The global navigation satellite system (GNSS), which is the core technique for the location based service, adopts the direct sequence/spread spectrum (DS/SS) as its modulation method. The success of a DS/SS system depends on the synchronization between the received and locally generated pseudo noise (PN) signals. As a step in the synchronization process, the tacking scheme performs fine adjustment to bring the phase difference between the two PN signals to zero. The most widely used tracking scheme is the delay locked loop with early minus late discriminator (EL-DLL). In the ideal case, the EL-DLL is the best estimator among various DLL. However, in the band-limited multipath environment, the EL-DLL has tracking bias. In this paper, the timing offset range of correlation function is divided into advanced offset range (AOR) and delayed offset range (DOR) centering around the correct synchronization time point. The tracking bias results from the following two reasons: symmetry distortion between correlation values in AOR and DOR, and mismatch between the time point corresponding to the maximum correlation value and the synchronization time point. The former and latter are named as the type I and type II tracking bias, respectively. In this paper, when the receiver has finite bandwidth in the presence of multipath signals, it is shown that the type II tracking bias becomes a more dominant error factor than the type I tracking bias, and the correlation values in AOR are not almost changed. Exploiting these characteristics, we propose a novel tracking bias mitigation scheme and demonstrate that the tracking accuracy of the proposed scheme is higher than that of the conventional scheme, both in the presence and absence of noise.
