히트펌프 조건의 원형관에서의 착상에 관한 연구 (Frost Formation on a Cylinder under Heat Pump Condition)

  • The present study measured frost pattern on a cylinder to propose empirical correlation equations for the local and average frost thickness, frost density and frost mass. The key parameters were diameter of the cylinders (7mm, 20mm), cooling surface temperature of the circular tube, absolute humidity of air, air temperature and air velocity. A 50% ethylene glycol aqueous solution was applied as a coolant. The frost thicknesses at both front and rear were larger than those at the other parts, while they were increased as diameter of the cylinder was increased. The local frost thicknesses at high air velocity were more uniform than those at low air velocity. The values predicted by Kim et al. under the freezer condition showed larger by the maximum of $30{\sim}50%$ than the measured data under heat pump condition. The empirical correlations for the local and average frost thickness and frost mass were proposed. The correlation equations for the frost thickness and frost mass under the heat pump condition in the present study might predict more accurate than the other correlation equations. The proposed correlations might be applied for the freezer condition within the maximum 15% deviation from the previous correlations under freezer condition.

모사시편 시험을 통한 감육결함 국부손상기준 개발 (Development of Local Failure Criteria for Well Thinning Defect by Simulated Specimen Tests)

  • The objective of this study is to develop a local failure criterion for a wall thinning defect of piping components. For this purpose, a series of tensile tests was performed using several types of simulated specimens with different stress states, including smooth round bar, notched round bar (five different notch radii), and grooved plate (three different groove radii). In addition, finite element (FE) simulations were performed on the simulated specimen tests and the results were compared with the test results. From the comparisons, the equivalent stress and strain corresponding to maximum load and final failure of notched specimens were proposed as failure criteria under tensile load. The criteria were verified by employing them to the estimation of failure of grooved plate specimens that simulate the wall thinning defect. It showed that the proposed criteria accurately estimate the maximum load and final failure of grooved plate specimen tests.

페이싯 모델을 이용한 국부 극대점 검출의 처리 속도 개선 (Reducing Computational Complexity for Local Maxima Detection Using Facet Model)

  • 본 논문에서는 영상에서 반복적인 가우시안 커널을 사용하여 소형 표적의 크기와 위치를 검출하는 방법을 제안한다. 소형 표적의 크기와 위치를 검출하는 방법은 우선 페이싯 모델을 원 영상에 적용하여 국부 극대 값을 검출하고 $3{\times}3$ 가우시안 커널을 반복적으로 사용한다. 이때 반복횟수에 따른 국부 극대값 $D_2$를 비교하여 이에 따른 소형 표적의 크기를 결정한다. 또한 계산의 복잡성을 줄이기 위하여 커널을 반복적으로 사용할 때 가우시안 피라미드를 사용하였다. 실험에서는 소형 표적의 크기와 위치가 반복 횟수에 따라 정확히 검출되는 것을 확인하였고 기존의 방법에 비하여 처리속도가 개선된 것을 확인하였다.

초동 P파를 이용한 조기 규모추정에 관한 연구 (The study on rapid magnitude estimation using first arrival)

  • We have been conducting several studies on providing information to the public promptly as soon as earthquake occurs. Recently, JMA proposed a method for warning big earthquakes by observing the first 2 seconds after the first arrival. In this study, the envelope of the absolute value of the first 2 seconds after the first arrival is calculated, and then the relation of epicentral distance and slope of envelope, parameter B, is obtained. This result is applied to local magnitude equation of KMA, which then gives us a new magnitude equation from which can estimate the magnitude using maximum amplitude of P wave. We applied the method to two recent earthquakes; Uljin and Daegu. The results using only the vertical components show that the magnitudes are lower than those calculated by the local magnitude equation of KMA. However, when we apply the method to the 3 components of maximum displacements, the results corresponds with those obtained from the local magnitude equation.

최적 핵연료 접촉 열전도도 모델 개발을 위한 예비 연구 (Preliminary Study for the Development of Optimum Fuel Contact Conductance Model)

  • A gap conductance is very important factor which can affect nuclear fuel temperature. Especially, in case of an annular fuel, a gap conductance effect can lead an unexpected heat split phenomena which is caused by a large difference of an inner and outer gap conductance. The gap conductance mechanism is very complicated behavior due to the its strong dependency on microscopic factors such as a contact surface roughness, local contact pressure and local temperature. In this paper, for the decision of test temperature and pressure range, a procedure and calculation results of in-reactor fuel temperature and pressure analysis are summarized which can be applied to test equipment design and determination of test matrix. Based upon analysis results, it is concluded that the minimum and maximum test temperature are $300^{\circ}C$ and $530^{\circ}C$ respectively, and the maximum pellet/cladding interfacial contact pressure should be observed up to 45MPa.

  • In this paper, 3-dimensional fracture phenomena in the local area near a through notch tip located between the surface and the canter were investigated by using embedded dyeing grids with the pitch of $50.8{\mu}$. It was confirmed that displacement V and square root of distance from notch tip $y^{1/2}$ are not proportional in the local area of $\sqrt{{\mid}y{\mid}}\;<\;0.3mm^{1/2}$ and the maximum shea strain ${\varepsilon}_{xymax}$ near a notch tip occurred at the curvature beginning point of the notch curve. It was also noted that the maximum strain ${\varepsilon}_{xymax}$ in the thickness direction occurred at the interior, where the ratio of the distance measured from surface to the half of thickness of specimen is 0.3.

  • This paper is to estimate the load carrying capacities of concrete-filled steel tubular columns and the important parameters are selected the size, length and concrete strength. he concrete-filled tube structures has many excellent structural properties, that is, high load capacity, good plastic deformation and high resistance local buckling. Under these background, this study Investigated to the structural compression behaviors, the maximum strength, the confinement effects, the fracture mechanism, local buckling failure and concrete strength effects.

  • In this paper, we designed and implemented the dual band antenna for IMT-2000 and 5.7㎓ WLAN(Wireless Local Area Network). The antenna was designed by using 3D simulations program, HFSS(High Frequency Structure Simulator). The electrical characteristics were measured by using HP 8720C network analyzer and measured maximum S$\sub$11/ was -25㏈, and maximum VSWR(Voltage Standing Wavc Ratio) was 1.26 for all frequency bands of interests in IMT-2000 and 5.7㎓ WLAN. Simulation results for antenna gain at 2㎓ and 5.7㎓ were 1.31㏈i and 4.1㏈i with omni directional radiation pattern. Implemented antenna is compact sized and can be produced in low cost enough for commercialization.

  • Two multiple access protocols are proposed for a multichannel WDM optical fibre local area network or metropolitan area network in which users are interconnected using a passive star topology. Each user has a single tunable transmitter and a single tunable receiver. A transmitter sends a control packet before its data packet transmission so that its intended receivers can tune to the proper data channel wavelength. The maximum throughput of the proposed protocols are independent of the effective normalized propagation delay which may include the transmitter and receiver tuning times and the processing delays. The maximum throughputs of the protocols are analyzed and compared with those of the existing ones by numerical examples. The message delay of the R- Aloha/synchronous N-server switch protocol which is suitable for the queued users is also analyzed.

웨이브렛을 이용한 에지 검출에 관한 연구 (A Study on Edge Detection using Wavelet)

  • 영상으로부터 검출된 에지는 원 영상에 대한 위치와 모양 등에 대한 다양한 정보를 포함하고 있으므로, 이러한 에지를 검출하기 위한 많은 연구가 이루어지고 있다. 그리고, 최근 신호처리 분야의 새로운 기법으로 제시된 웨이브렛 이론들의 발전과 더불어 웨이브렛 변환은 영상의 에지를 포함한 특이점들을 분석하는 분야에 널리 응용되고 있다. 따라서, 본 논문에서는 영상의 라인 폭에 의존하지 않는 웨이브렛 함수를 사용하여, 웨이브렛 변환 데이터의 국부 최대값과 기울기의 방향, 그리고 위치 정보로부터 원 영상의 에지를 검출하였다.
