  • Load Variation effects on the system driving performance. Therefore, this paper presents as a application example of Anti-windup method using general incremental form for a gun servo system of load variation involved.   • Vehicle clutch measurement for disc cushion variation was developed for the production of high quality Dual clutch transmissions. The developed device is composed of load cells for load measurement and LVDT for measuring the distance variation measurement in cushion variation. The servo motor-driven electric press for flexible loads that was developed was controlled by a PC-based HMI system, LabVIEW, and the device was able to continuously record real time measurement data with the accuracies of ${\pm}0.1\;kgf$ load and ${\pm}5{\mu}m$ cushion amount, which is far above the requirements of commercial vehicle standards.

  • Various problems such as increase of power loss and voltage instability may often occur in the case of low load power factor. The demand of reactive power increases continuously with the growth of active power and restructuring of electric power companies makes the comprehensive management of reactive power a troublesome problem, so that the systematic control of load power factor is required. In this paper, the load power factor sensitivity of generation cost is derived and it is used for effectively determining the locations of reactive power compensation devices and for enhancing the load power factor appropriately. In addition, voltage variation penalty cost is introduced and integrated costs including voltage variation penalty cost are used for determining the value of load power factor from the point of view of economic investment and voltage regulation. It is shown through application to a large-scale power system that the load power factor can be enhanced effectively using the load power factor sensitivity and the integrated cost.

부하변동에 따른 유도전동기 전류와 전력 특성 (Characteristics for Current and Power of Induction Motor by Load Variation)

  • Induction motor is most widely used as the driving power in the industrial site. Induction motor current is composed of two parts, magnetizing current and load current. Load current uses energy what is doing the work. Load current varies with load variance but magnetizing current is constant, regardless of load variation. Magnetizing current needs for establishing the rotating magnetic field of induction motor and lags behind the voltage. Generally capacitor is used for power-factor compensation of inductive load. Self-excitation occurs when the capacitive reactive current from the capacitor is greater than the magnetizing current of the induction motor. When this occurs, excessive voltages can result on the terminals of the motor. This excessive voltage can cause insulation degradation and ultimately result in motor insulation failure. In this paper, we analyzed that how the magnetizing current and condenser current is operating at the allowable limit by the load variation. Condenser current is below allowable limit of magnetizing current but magnetizing current is above allowable limit at the lower load operation condition.

  • In this paper, a study on the improvement of the IM speed response against load torque variation is presented. A VSCS(Variable Structure Control System) is proposed which gives the desired robustness against load torque variation using a new kind of time-varing switching plane. In order to eliminate the reaching phase of the states from one switching plane to another during variation, the switching plane is varied continuously. To verify the high dynamic performance of the proposed VSCS, simulation and experimental results are presented.

  • 전동기 구동에 있어서 부하 특성의 변화는 가장 중요하게 고려해야 할 것 중 하나이다. 일반적으로 부하의 변동은 전동기에 흐르는 전류의 크기를 변화시키므로 그 변동의 크기에 따라 적절한 드라이브를 설계해야 할 필요가 있다. 하지만 물의 흐름과 역방향 부하토크 때문에 드럼 세탁기의 부하 변동은 불규칙하며 크다. 이러한 부하 패턴을 고려한 드럼 세탁기의 구동 드라이브를 설계하기 위하여 세탁기 부하의 변동을 물리적 해석을 통해서 모델링 하고자 한다.

  • Generally, fuzzy PI controller that regulates the gains using fuzzy algorithm shows high performance in speed response. However, it has some problems to the load inertia variation, because the change of speed error(CE) is in a fixed range. As load inertia increases, CE is decreased and the usuage of fuzzy table is limited. Therefore, the output of the fuzzy controller has a limited range. This paper proposes an improved fuzzy PI controller. To reduce the speed overshoot, we adapt a control method that selects a proper CE range with respect to the load inertia variation. The proposed controller is applied to the vector controlled system with 2.2kW induction motor. Some simulation and experimental results are exhibited. With these results, we can easily find that proposed PI controller is more robust than the conventional fuzzy PI controller against the load inertia variation.

  • In motor driving, one of the most important consideration is the load characteristic and variation. Generally, the motor drive should be made enough for the current by load variation, and it should be controlled by the load weight. However, the drum washing machine's load variation is irregular and large. Therefore, we want to make the motor drive that considering this load pattern, this paper describes the drum washing machine's load pattern modeling by the mathematical theory.

제어방식에 따른 산업용 수냉각기의 운전 특성 비교 (A Comparison of Operating Characteristics for Industrial Water Cooler with Variation of Control Methods)

  • This paper presents a comparison of operating characteristics for industrial water cooler with variation control methods. The performance analysis regarding the characteristics of condensation capacity, evaporation capacity, compressor load, COP of an on-off type cooler, a hot gas-bypass control type cooler and an inverter control type cooler with respect to the system load is reviewed, respectively. The primary results are as following: the variation of required compressor load of an on-off type cooler with respect to load is 5%, that of hot gas-bypass type is 18% and 66% for an inverter control type cooler. As the result shows, an inverter control type yields relatively huge difference of required compressor load compared to other types of control system. In terms of partial load, COP of an inverter control type cooler presents the highest value, and is considered as the optimized type for the used of the system involving frequent partial load.

부하변동율을 이용한 선거일의 24시간 수요예측 (The 24 Hourly Load Forecasting of the Election Day Using the Load Variation Rate)

  • Short-term electric load forecasting of power systems is essential for the power system stability and the efficient power system operation. An accurate load forecasting scheme improves the power system security and saves some economic losses in power system operations. Due to scarcity of the historical same type of holiday load data, most big electric load forecasting errors occur on load forecasting for the holidays. The fuzzy linear regression model has showed good accuracy for the load forecasting of the holidays. However, it is not good enough to forecast the load of the election day. The concept of the load variation rate for the load forecasting of the election day is introduced. The proposed algorithm shows its good accuracy in that the average percentage error for the short-term 24 hourly loads forecasting of the election days is 2.27%. The accuracy of the proposed 24 hourly loads forecasting of the election days is compared with the fuzzy linear regression method. The proposed method gives much better forecasting accuracy with overall average error of 2.27%, which improved about average error of 2% as compared to the fuzzy linear regression method.
