  • The objective of this study is to evaluate the damage of the reinforced concrete bridge piers. For the purpose of this research, twelve reinforced concrete specimens were fabricated and experimented with quasi-static test method. The selected test parameters are lap splice, axial load ratio, confinement steel ratio and number of loading cycle. The method of evaluate of damage index is the model proposed by Park and Ang. In accordance with this research, the most effective test parameter is lap splice of longitudinal steel. Therefore, the retrofit scheme of reinforced concrete bridge piers with lap splice of longitudinal steel, which was constructed before 1992, must be settled without delay. Otherwise, the effect of axial force is trivial. The more confinement steel is less damage index and more loading cycle lead to raise damage. The damage statement proposed Park and Ang is the same with experimental results.

허용응력설계법 및 하중저항계수설계법에 의한 고정식 해양구조물 설계결과 비교 (Design comparison of Fixed Offshore Structures Designed by WSD and LRFD Methods )

  • 고정식 자켓구조물 설계 시 국내 설계법의 부재로 해외 설계기준을 적용하고 있다. 특히, 미국의 API기준을 주로 적용하고 있으나 API RP 2A는 허용응력설계법(WSD)과 하중저항계수법(LRFD)의 두 설계법을 제시하고 있고 설계자의 판단에 따라 적용하고 있는 실정이다. 본 연구에서는 국내 연안에 실제 설치된 고정식 해양구조물에 대해 해양구조물 전용프로그램인 SACS를 이용하여 두 설계법에 대한 응력비를 검토비교 하였다. 검토결과, 환경하중의 영향이 큰 극한하중해석과 운송해석 시에는 LRFD설계법이, 자중의 영향이 큰 평상시 하중해석과 선적 및 인양 시에는 WSD설계법이 더 큰 응력비를 보여주고 있어 기본설계 시 두 설계법에 대한 적용성 검토를 수행한 후 안전성과 경제성 등을 고려하여 최종 설계법을 선택하는 것이 적정하다고 판단된다.

냉방열원의 경제성 평가를 위한 건물에너지 회귀식 산출 (Energy Regression Analysis for Economic Evaluation of Cooling Plants)

  • For economic evaluation of cooling plant equipments, it is necessary to simplify energy Prediction method, which should includes efficiency corrected by part-load ratio. This study proposed simplified method with regression equations of time-average partial loads and refrigerator capacity. DOE-2 Program was used to carry out a parametric study of twelve design variables. Five input variables were considered to be significant and were used in the regression equations. To test accuracy of simplified method, calculated results were compared with DOE-2 simulated results. Test result showes a good agreement with the simulation result with an error of 5.9∼7.6%. It is expected that this method can be used as an easy prediction tool for comparing energy use of different cooling plants during the early design stage.

  • Semiconductor processes need measurement to confirm where there are problems in quality after progresses manufacturing process. This paper suggests equipment and automatic measure sampling method that control monitoring ratio according to change point occurrence availability of process that is not measure method by the existent simple ratio rate. This paper defines measure section as ailment section, metastable section and stability section by change point standard and create statistical model of each section and developed suitable measure rate model by section. As a result, we have accomplished maximum throughput and minimum sampling number that needs to maintain constant level of quality. Proposed method minimizes load of measure process by brings production quality sophistication and decrease of process badness and lowers measure rate in stable section making perception about problem occurrence quick heightening measure rate at change point occurrence.

베이지안 이론을 이용한 타입강관말뚝의 신뢰성 평가 (Reliability Updates of Driven Piles Based on Bayesian Theory Using Proof Pile Load Test Results)

  • 기초구조물의 저항계수 산정 및 하중저항계수설계법의 개발을 위해서는 충분한 양의 데이터베이스 구축을 바탕으로 정확한 신뢰성 분석이 수행되어야 한다. 기존 국내외 말뚝기초의 신뢰성 분석 연구에서는 말뚝의 측정지지력 확인이 가능한 재하시험 자료만을 이용하여 저항편향계수의 분포특성을 산정하였다. 따라서, 파괴에 이르지 않은 말뚝재하시험 자료는 신뢰성 분석에서 제외되었다. 본 연구에서는 베이지안 이론을 이용하여 타입강관말뚝 저항편향계수의 사전 분포특성에 측정지지력을 확인할 수 없는 재하시험 결과를 추가하여 현장 특성을 반영한 저항편향계수의 사후분포특성을 산정하였다. 그리고 저항편향계수의 사후분포특성을 이용하여 말뚝의 신뢰성 평가를 수행하고 신뢰도수준을 갱신하였다. 국내 전역에서 수행된 양질의 정재하시험 자료를 수집, 분석하여 57개의 자료에 대한 측정지지력을 확인하였고, 이들 자료에 대해서 구조물기초설계기준에서 제안하고 있는 Meyerhof 공식을 이용하여 설계지지력을 산정하였다. 이를 통해 저항편향계수의 사전분포 특성을 정량화 하였으며, 베이지안 기법을 적용하여 다양한 현장재하시험 결과에 따라 저항편향계수의 사후분포를 산정하였다. 갱신된 저항편향계수 통계특성을 적용하여 일차신뢰도법을 이용하여 강도 높은 신뢰성 해석을 수행하고 시험결과에 따른 신뢰도 수준을 평가하였다. 본 연구에서 제시된 방법을 통해 양질의 측정지지력 데이터가 부족한 경우 베이지안 기법을 이용하여 신뢰성 분석이 가능함을 확인하였다.

대용량 Compact형 로드셀의 기둥형 감지부 설계 및 해석 (Design and Analysis of Column Type Sensing Element for Large Compact Load Cell)

  • The column type is used as the sensing element of the load cell to measure the large force in the range of 10$^4$~ 10$^{7}$ N. However. it is not easy to handle the load with large capacity due to its size. It is, therefore, necessary to design a compact load cell with a low aspect ratio. Thus this paper showed the characteristic evaluation of compact load cell with respect to the shape of supporting plate. The supporting plate of the load cell was an annular type with inner(D$_{i}$) and outer(D$_{o}$) diameters. Using the strain distribution obtained from FEM. the supporting plate was designed to get the stable output voltage of the load cell. The three designed supporting plates were manufactured, and the result of characteristic experiment of the load cell, using the 10 MN hydraulic force standard machine, was compared with FEM.M.M.

Load-carrying capacity degradation of reinforced concrete piers due to corrosion of wrapped steel plates

  • Two-dimensional elastoplastic finite element formulation is employed to investigate the load- carrying capacity degradation of reinforced concrete piers wrapped with steel plates due to occurrence of corrosion at the pier base. By comparing with experimental results, the employed finite element analysis method is verified to be accurate. After that, a series of parametric studies are conducted to investigate the effect of corrosion ratio and corrosion mode of steel plates located near the base of in-service pier P2 on load-carrying capacity of the piers. It is observed that the load-carrying capacity of the piers decreases with the increase in corrosion ratio of steel plates. There exists an obvious linear relationship between the load-carrying capacity and the corrosion ratio in the case of even corrosion mode. The degradation of load-carrying capacity resulted from the web's uneven corrosion mode is more serious than that under even corrosion mode, and the former case is more liable to occur than the latter case in actual engineering application. Finally, the failure modes of the piers under different corrosion state are discussed. It is found that the principal tensile strain of concrete and yield range of steel plates are distributed within a wide range in the case of slight corrosion, and they are concentrated on the column base when complete corrosion occurs. The findings obtained from the present study can provide a useful reference for the maintenance and strengthening of the in-service piers.

차량 충돌하중을 받는 RC 압축부재의 성능기반형 저항성능 평가방법 개발 (Development of Performance Based Resistance Capacity Evaluation Method for RC Compression Member under Vehicle Impact Load)

  • 최근 교량구조물의 증가와 더불어 차량 및 선박과 시설물 간의 충돌사고가 발생할 확률이 높아지고 있다. 특히 교량을 구성하는 상부구조와 하부구조 중에서 충돌에 의한 영향은 주로 교각 등의 하부구조가 받을 가능성이 크다. 교각에 차량 혹은 선박이 충돌하게 되면 교량 하부구조에 국부적인 손상을 유발하게 되며, 충돌사고는 훨씬 더 순간적이고 강한 물리적인 질량의 충돌을 동반할 수 있으며, 극단적인 경우 상부구조의 붕괴까지 유발할 수 있다. 그러므로 이 연구에서는 콘크리트 구조물인 교량의 교각과 같은 압축부재에 대한 설계 시 차량 등에 의한 충돌을 고려하고, 차량 충돌하중에 의한 손상지수를 정량적으로 평가하기 위해서 기존의 설계방법을 개선하고 새로운 구조물의 저항성능 평가방법을 정립하기 위하여 동적유한요소해석 프로그램인 LS-DYNA를 이용하여 교각단면, 차량의 충돌각에 따른 충격도, 축력 및 축력비, 콘크리트 강도, 주철근비와 횡방향 철근, 세장비 등을 변화시켜 케이스별 해석을 수행하였다. 이 연구 결과를 통해 콘크리트 구조물의 거동해석 및 설계기법을 Bayesian 통계방법을 이용한 만족도 곡선을 통해 충격하중을 받을 시의 성능 기반형 저항성능 평가방법을 개발하였으며, 이는 실제 충격하중에 의한 구조물의 방호성능 및 설계 시에 적절하게 적용할 수 있을 것으로 판단된다.

광탄성법(光彈性法)에 의(依)한 러그달린 구동륜하(駆動輪下)의 응력분포(應力分布)에 관(關)한 해석(解析) (Analysis of the stress distribution under a driving lugged wheel by photoelastic method)

  • Stress distribution under a driving lugged wheel was obtained by photoelastic method. The distribution showed two distinct parts, one part is due to sinkage and other due to compression. Results of the study are summarized as follows. 1. The tangential reactions of sinkage as well as compressing parts were directly proportional to tangential load to the driving wheel, that's appeared to be thrust of the driving wheel. The normal reactions of both sinkage and compressing parts were directly proportional to the vertical load to the driving wheel, that's appeared to be resistance against wheel motion. 2. When the tangential load was constant, changing the vertical load did not show any significant thrust variation of the driving wheel. 3. Under the condition of this experiment, the ratio of vertical load to tangential load (T.L/V.L) must be greater than 1.0 in order for the wheel to roll.

An improved algorithm in railway truss bridge optimization under stress, displacement and buckling constraints imposed on moving load

  • Railway truss bridges are amongst the essential structures in railway transportation. Minimization of the construction and maintenance costs of these trusses can effectively reduce investments in railway industries. In case of railway bridges, due to high ratio of the live load to the dead load, the moving load has considerable influence on the bridge dynamics. In this paper, optimization of the railway truss bridges under moving load is taken into consideration. The appropriate algorithm namely Hyper-sphere algorithm is used for this multifaceted problem. Through optimization the efficiency of the method successfully raised about 5 percent, compared with similar algorithms. The proposed optimization carried out on several typical railway trusses. The influences of buckling, deformation constraints, and the optimum height of each type of truss, assessed using a simple approximation method.
