대변형 해석기법(Coupled Eulerian-Lagrangian)을 이용한 항타 관입성 모사의 3차원 해석 (A Study on the 3D Analysis of Driven Pile Penetration Based on Large Deformation Technique (Coupled Eulerian-Lagrangian))

  • 최근 기존의 유한요소 해석기법으로는 항타 말뚝 관입과 같은 대변형 문제를 적절히 모사하기 어렵기 때문에 대변형 해석기법을 필요로 하고 있다. 본 연구에서는 대변형 수치해석 기법 중 하나인 Coupled Eulerian-Lagrangian(CEL) 기법을 이용하여 항타 관입의 3차원 대변형 해석을 수행하고자 한다. 현장 시험 결과와 비교를 통해, CEL 기법의 타당성을 검증하였고, 그 결과 본 연구에서 적용한 CEL 기법이 기존 유한요소 해석 기법으로는 구현이 불가능한 항타 말뚝 관입의 전반적인 거동을 합리적으로 모사할 수 있음을 알 수 있었다. 또한, 항타 개단말뚝의 특징인 선단부근에 응력이 집중되는 현상을 적절히 예측함을 알 수 있었다. 이를 통해 CEL 기법을 이용하여 항타 관입 해석이 가능한 것을 확인하였다.

  • 한계평형법 이론들을 사용하기 위해서는 극한 파괴 상태에서 나타나는 파괴 전단면을 찾아야 한다. 강도 감소법에서는 유한요소해석의 수치해가 일정 반복 횟수 이내에 수렴하지 못하는 시점을 극한 파괴 상태로 정의한다. 하지만 Coupled Eulerian-Lagrangian (CEL)기법을 유한요소해석에서 사용하면 극한 파괴 상태에 도달하여도 수치해의 비수렴 상황이 발생하지 않으므로 이러한 정의는 사용하기 어렵다. 본 연구에서는 CEL 기법을 이용한 유한요소해석에서 지반의 극한 파괴 상태를 감지할 수 있는 객관적인 물리량 기준을 제시하였다. 비배수 조건의 연약지반이 연속기초 하중을 받는 경우 극한 파괴 상태에 해당하는 이론적 하중에서 소성 소산 에너지의 변화속도가 민감하게 변화함을 찾을 수 있었다.

  • This paper proposes an efficient detection algorithm, which is composed of an interference nulling-and cancelling-based detection algorithm and a maximum likelihood (ML) detection algorithm having reduced numbers of signal points to be tested, for the quasi-orthogonal space-time code with four transmit antennas. When high-level modulation schemes are employed, the algorithm enables the quasi-orthogonal code to achieve near ML performance with a significant reduction in the computational load.

  • In this work, we first present our study on the decoding schemes for space-time block code as well as our comments on their complexity. Then, we propose a new modified complex sphere decoding scheme, which has lower computational load than that of conventional complex sphere decoders. In the proposed scheme, the boundary for searching is aided with the intersection of approximate polygon of searching circle and disk of constellation. Therefore, the proposed scheme can reduce the searching boundary while can avoid missing searching points. The performance of the proposed scheme is verified by computer simulation that consolidates our scheme.

진동만에서 생태계모델을 이용한 환경관리기법 (A method of environmental management using an ecological numerical model in Jindong Bay)

  • Jindong bay at the northwestern part of Jinhae bay suffers from the occurrence of red tides in summer every year. In order to study the management methods of coastal environments, an ecological numerical model has been developed. The model experiments was forecasted that the load of nutrients from the land and field concentration will be cut down per 10% each. When we cut down 57.2% nitrogen load in the inner bay and 38.4% phosphorous load in the outer bay of bottom layer of the nutrients load from land and field concentration, the seawater quality standard levels up first grade. When we cut down 86.5% nutrients in the inner bay and 93.0% nutrients in the outer bay, the concentration of chlorophyll a decreases below 3.2 $\mu\textrm{g}$/(equation omitted)(an individual concentration of phytoplankton : 10,000cel1/ml), i.e. the red tides do not occur.

개단말뚝의 폐색효과 영향인자 분석 (Influence Factors on the Degree of Soil Plugging for Open-Ended Piles)

  • 개단말뚝은 폐색정도에 따라 지지력이 다르게 나타나므로 개단말뚝 설계시 폐색효과를 고려하여야 한다. 이에 본 연구에서는 대변형 수치해석 기법 중 하나인 Coupled Eulerian-Lagrangian(CEL) 기법을 이용하여 말뚝의 항타 관입을 모사하여 사질토, 점성토 지반조건, 단일 지반의 탄성계수, 말뚝 선단지지 조건, 다층지반 조건에 대한 영향 분석을 수행하였다. 해석 결과 사질토 지반에서 점성토 지반보다 폐색정도가 큰 것으로 확인되었고, 사질토의 경우 지반의 강성이 클수록 폐색정도가 증가하는 것으로 나타났다. 말뚝 선단이 지지층에 근입된 경우, 그렇지 않은 경우보다 정지토압계수가 크게 나타나 폐색정도가 큰 것으로 확인되었다. 또한, 지반의 배열이 이질층인 경우 지반강성에 따라 정지토압계수가 다르게 결정됨을 알 수 있었다. 따라서 지반조건, 지층 등에 따라 정지토압계수를 다르게 적용하여 관내 내부마찰력을 산정할 필요가 있으며 이를 반영한 합리적인 지지력 산정을 할 필요가 있음을 알 수 있었다.

강성사면에 인접한 옹벽의 거동에 관한 연구 (Behavior of Retaining wall near Rigid slopes)

  • This thesis is an experimental and numerical research on bearing capacity acting retaining walls close to rigid slopes with stiff angles. Experiments were performed with changing the roughness of adjacent slope to the wall, its inclination, distance between wall and slope. Vertical stress and applied surcharge loads were measured by miniature earth cells and a load cel respectively. Stress distribution Vertical Settlement of surcharge load of rigid model footing were measured by LVDTs. Bearing capacities of surcharge loads were compared with theoretical estimations by using several different methods of limit equilibrium and numerical analysis. For limit equilibrium methods, the modified silo and the wedge theories, proposed by Chung sung gyo and Chung in gyo (1994) were used to analyze test results Based on those modified theories, the particular solution with the boundary condition of surcharge loads on the surface of backfill was obtained to find the stress distributions acting in the backfill and to compare with test results. From results of surcharge test with model wall being very close to the slope, analyzed results by the modified silo theory and to be in the better agreements than other methods.

비포장노면 차량 거동 분석을 위한 타이어 테스트베드 개발 (Development of Tire Test Bed for Dynamic Behavior Analysis of Vehicles on Off-roads)

  • When a vehicle is driven off a road surface, the deformations of the road surface and tire are combined. Consequently, the dynamic behavior of wheel movement becomes difficult to predict and control. Herein, we propose a tire test bed to capture the dynamic behavior of tires moving on sand and soil. Based on this study, it is discovered that the slip rate can be controlled, and the vertical force can be measured using a load cell. The test results show that this test bed can be useful for capturing the dynamic behavior of the tire and validating dynamic simulations. In fact, the tire test bed developed in this study can be used to verify the results of computer simulations. In addition, it can be used for basic experiments pertaining to the speed control of unmanned autonomous vehicles.

자세균형제어 시스템의 개발 (Development of Postural Balance Control System)

  • A simple bio-feedback system was developed to monitor and to analyze patient's postural balance. Two load celIs were used to measure the weight of each side. A specially designed electronic circuit was made to pick up the weight signals and to feed into the data acquisition system. Clinical trials were also made on 20-30 year-old normal subjects and nine hemiplegia patients who had the potential instability in weight bearing. A Microsoft window-based software collected and analyzed the postural balance data. Normal subjects showed only 5% deviations of their body weight. However, hemipegic patients had significant weight shifts toward the healthy limb. With the present system, patients can also exercise their balance and weight bearing. The present system should be of convenience to monitor in real-time and analyze the postural balance control of hemiplegic patients.

Numerical modelling of internal blast loading on a rock tunnel

  • Tunnels have been an integral part of human civilization. Due to complexity in its design and structure, the stability of underground structures under extreme loading conditions has utmost importance. Increased terrorism and geo-political conflicts have forced the engineers and researchers to study the response of underground structures, especially tunnels under blast loading. The present study has been carried out to seek the response of tunnel structures under blast load using the finite element technique. The tunnel has been considered in quartzite rock of northern India. The Mohr-Coulomb constitutive model has been adopted for the elastoplastic behaviour of rock. The rock model surrounding the tunnel has dimensions of 30 m x 30 m x 35 m. Both unlined and lined (concrete) tunnel has been studied. Concrete Damage Plasticity model has been considered for the concrete lining. Four different parameters (i.e., tunnel diameter, liners thickness, overburden depth and mass of explosive) have been varied to observe the behaviour under different condition. To carry out blast analysis, Coupled-Eulerian-Lagrangian (CEL) modelling has been adopted for modelling of TNT (Trinitrotoluene) and enclosed air. JWL (Jones-Wilkins-Lee) model has been considered for TNT explosive modelling. The paper concludes that deformations in lined tunnels follow a logarithmic pattern while in unlined tunnels an exponential pattern has been observed. The stability of the tunnel has increased with an increase in overburden depth in both lined and unlined tunnels. Furthermore, the tunnel lining thickness also has a significant effect on the stability of the tunnel, but in smaller diameter tunnel, the increase in tunnel lining thickness has not much significance. The deformations in the rock tunnel have been decreased with an increase in the diameter of the tunnel.
