This study is based on the Importance of home office in domestic environment in Korea. In recent years, the distribution of network environment at home has been changed rapidly Each family member uses home office for various purpose. The home office in domestic living environment become a part of common use for all family member. The purpose of this study is to set the framework of design direction in terms of system furniture for home office within the limitation of current standard space at home such as typical apartment - 30 pyeong, 40 pyeong. The first step of study is to understand user space and user needs through the user survey. The second step is to find the right location and plan of home office in domestic environment. The last is to suggest the integral system furniture and elements that fits to the various situations of location according to the space and user type.

The purpose of the study were to examine the causal relationships of apparel store patronage behavior on types of stores and information sources and to investigate which variables significantly apparel store patronage behavior. Data were randomly obtained from 433 housewives living in Pusan. A self-administered limiting apparel usage situations to the couples party was developed based on previous researches. They were analyzed by Fator analysis and Path analysis. The results of this study were as follows: 1. The apparel store patronage behavior of housewives was followed the process of life styleslongrightarrowinformation sourceslongrightarrowshopping orientationslongrightarrowstore imageslongrightarrowpatronage behavior, and in apparel store patronage behavior according to the types of information sources mass media information, interpersonal information, and store information. 3. There were differences in causal relationships of patronage behavior on apparel store types.

A portion of several previous studies has been that when a product is to be presented as a gift it entaials a greater expenditure of time and money than when the same product is to be used by the buyer. While this might suggest that gift-giving is an especially involving purchasing sitution, the research to date has not been consistent in its evidence to support this view. One reason for this inconsistency in findings may be suggested that different gift-giving situations show considerably different levels of givers' task involvement. The present study designs to gain some descreptive understanding of the clothing gift-giving, and to test the relationship between varibles related to clothing gift-giving and task involvement of clothing gift-giving through different gift-giving senarios. Data (N=463) were collected via a questionnaire from housewives living in Pusan, and were analyzed by factor analysis, t-test, and cannonical analysis. Results support that differences in task involvement of clothing gift -giving cause different consumer behaviors in relation to clothing gift-giving.

Today's aesthetics and design orientations seem to be: flexibility, mobility, multi-functionality required front user's new needs. Our spaces have changed increasingly contain the needs of constant mobility and ability to adapt to a wide variety of situations. For efficient use, a modular system in furnishing can manage the spaces with components which are easy to assemble and disassemble. The function comes from spacial technological structure that is an 'union' formed by units to joint each other. The repeated module is tailored to unchanging environmental conditions. On the other hand, the structure defined by change reacts flexibility to a dynamic environment. In decision-making, it is flexible and able to adapt. Their ability to be positioned freely anywhere in the room allows individual tasks to be carried out by different people, and their almost endless variety of uses create distinctive spaces for living.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the casual relationships of situational variables and consumer characteristics on apparel buying behavior. data were collected via a questionnaire developed on the previous studies from 534 housewives living at Seoul and Pusan, and analyzed by Path analysis. Results indicated that consumers were affected directly by the buying situation and the usage situation, and indirectly by the communication situation and the consumer characteristics on apparel buying behavior. The buying situation was a variable that most affected consumers'apparel buying behavior. Apparel consumers showed the common situational effects on apparel buying behavior as did on consumer behavior of the other consumer goods. The casual relationships of apparel buying behavior were significantly different on the types of usage situations.

The purpose of this study is for researching consumptions of the Korean and Japanese's consumers and qualities on the bananas which rank first in market share of the fruits market. The survey was conducted from the 180 Korean women living in Gangnam and Bundang. It was also compared and analyzed on the basis of data from the Japanese's R company. This analysis was done using SPSS 12.0 Vir. and analyzed according to its purposes. First, the difference between Korea and Japan in terms of bananas intake was studied. Second, consumption situations and types of Korean and Japanese's women were compared and analyzed. Therefore, this is the basic analytic study for finding out Korean consumers' recognitions and purchase behaviors on the bananas compared those of Japan. This will be utilized as useful material to understand the domestic consumers' consumption behaviors of the bananas which are one of the imported agricultural products.

For a long time the GSM and GPS world has been living side by side. There have been some half hearted attempts to invoke the GPS unit into GSM units but performance and usability has suffered. The A-GPS approach is interesting and we wanted to verify general performance for fleet application and alarm/emergency situations. The result is now promising but still more to enhancements are anticipated. We achieved near acceptable availability (${\sim}70%$) under indoor conditions. Accuracy was as anticipated (50-100 meter) as we are using reflected signals. Time to first fix is in general good in outdoor conditions but too long for indoor conditions (45-60 seconds). We would like manufactures to put some more effort to get better performance in the future as test with Nordnav high sensitivity measurement system proves that conditions indoor are at a level where better performance should be possible.

This paper discusses an important dimension of the globalization of science by investigating the lived experiences of nineteen expatriate scientists in six institutions in South Korea. Although much has been written on the globalization and science, few works have dealt with scientific experts? migration across national borders in contemporary contexts. In this regard, the lives of foreign science professors in Korea offer an interesting case, as they illustrate how the ideas of global science both clash with and appropriate Korea?s local practices and discourses. I argue that the globality of science is a main factor that fosters the continued Korean stay of many foreign scientists, who manage and appropriate what is entailed in this globality, namely, Korea?s perceived status as a peripheral country in the dynamics between "center" and "periphery." This includes several strategies and unintended situations differing according to each foreign scientist?s ethnic origins, professional experiences, and institutional circumstances, which lead them to make sense of their continued stay in Korea.

Fewer patients undergo pediatric lung transplantation (PLT) than adult lung transplantation. Size mismatch is the key factor that limits the availability of potential donors. Every candidate for PLT is in a different scenario in terms of age, height and weight, size of structures, indications for PLT, the concomitant presence of a cardiac anomaly, and other individual-specific factors; thus, a thorough understanding of pediatric patients' medical problems is essential. Living-donor lobar lung transplantation (LDLLT) has only been performed once in Korea to date. However, since each step in the LDLLT is a well-established procedure, including intrapericardial lobectomy, lung procurement, and lobar lung transplantation, qualified surgeons and lung transplantation teams are competent to perform LDLLT in clinically necessary situations.

Search technology is applied to various applications using artificial intelligence technology. It is used in many ways, from identifying customer preferences to personalized recommendation systems. The purpose of this study is to develop a system for detecting adult males mainly in children's living spaces. This will prevent dangerous situations of adult intruders in advance and can be used for outsider control system. In order to develop such a system, information about clothes is used, and adult detection system is developed using various factors such as color, pattern, fashion style, and size of clothes.
