The ferromagnetic resonance study of the magnetostatic wave modes for an YIG thin film, grown by a liquid phase epitaxy method, was performed by an FMR spectrometer at room temperature. The magnetostatic surface wave and backward volume wave modes show periodic excitations in parallel configuration, whereas the complex spectra were observed in perpendicular configuration. The resonance spectra in parallel configuration can be well explained by the Walker and Damon-Eshbach theory. The peak-peak line width of uniform mode was 0.4 Oe. The saturation magnetization $M_s$ of the YIG thin film was calculated as 137 emu/㎤. In order to know the dependence of the magnetostatic modes as a function of the saturation magnetization and the thickness, the (1,1) and (3,1) modes of the magnetostatic backward volume wave were compared and theoretically calculated.

Incorporation of solid electrodes frequently involves plasma-based processing. The effect of plasma can influence the physical characteristics, depending on the magnitude in plasma. The undesired feature of plasma-induced damage should be prevented in characterizing the ultra-thin materials, such as ultra-thin films and organic monolayers. The current work at first proves the applicability of a liquid phase electrode in the electrical/dielectric properties through comparative work using Al and Hg on ultrathin $Al_2O_3$ films deposited through atomic layer deposition at low temperature: Two types of metals such as Aluminum (Al) and mercury (Hg) were used as electrodes in $Al_2O_3$ thin films in order to investigate the effect of electrode preparation on the current-voltage characteristics and impedance features as a function of thickness in $Al_2O_3$ film thickness. The success of Hg in $Al_2O_3$ thin films is applied to the AC and DC characterization of the organic monolayers obtained using the Langmuir-Blodgett method. From the DC current-voltage characteristics, the diode-like response is found to originate from the bulk response of the organic materials, evidenced by the fact and the capacitance is inversely related to the absolute thickness of organic layers.

In the micro turbojet engine less than 350kw power class, it is not easy to find out the good atomization fuel injector with good spray quality. However conceptually, rotating fuel injection system can give high atomization quality by only the centrifugal force of a high speed rotating shaft of the engine without high-pressure fuel pump. With this motivation, we manufactured very small rotating fuel injector of 40 mm diameter and performed under a variety of injection orifices. We measured droplet size, velocity and spray distribution by the PDPA(Phase Doppler Particle Analyzer) system. Also spray was visualized by using high speed camera. From the test results, we could understand that the length of liquid column from the injection orifice is mainly controlled by the rotational speeds. Furthermore, droplet size(SMD) is decreased with the rotational speeds and is influenced by the diameter of the injection orifice and liquid film thickness.
High-.ate in-situ$ YBa_2$Cu$Cu_3$$O_{7-x}$ (YBCO) film growth was demonstrated by means of the electron beam co-evaporation. Even though our oxygen pressure is low, ∼$5 ${\times}$10^{-5}$ Torr, we can synthesize as-grown superconducting YBCO films at a deposition rate of around 10 nm/s. Relatively high temperatures of around 90$0^{\circ}C$ was necessary in this process so far, and it suggests that this temperature at a given oxygen activity allows a Ba-Cu-O liquid formation along with an YBCO epitaxy. Local critical current density shows a clear correlation with local resistivity. Homogeneous transport properties with a large critical current density ($4 ∼ 5 MA/\textrm{cm}^2$ at 77K, 0T) are observed in top faulted region while it is found that the bottom part carries little supercurrent with a large local resistivity. Therefore, it is possible that thickness dependence of critical current density is closely related with a topological variation of good superconducting paths and/or grains in the film bodies. The information derived from it may be useful in the characterization and optimization of superconducting films for electrical power and other applications.
This study experimentally investigated the effects of droplet temperature on the heat transfer characteristics during collision of a single droplet on a heated wall above the Leidenfrost temperature. Experiments were performed by varying temperature from 40 to $100^{\circ}C$ while the collision velocity and wall temperature were maintained constant at 0.7 m/s at $500^{\circ}C$, respectively. Evolution of temperature distribution at the droplet-wall interface as well as collision dynamics of the droplet were simultaneously recorded using synchronized high-speed video and infrared cameras. The local heat flux distribution at the collision surface was deduced using the measured temperature distribution data. Various physical parameters, including residence time, local heat flux distribution, heat transfer rate, heat transfer effectiveness and vapor film thickness, were measured from the visualization data. The results showed that increase in droplet temperature reduces the residence time and increases the vapor film thickness. This ultimately results in reduction in the total heat transfer by conduction through the vapor film during droplet-wall collision.
The aqueous solution of Sunset Yellow-FCF (SY-FCF) began to show schlieren texture at room temperature when its concentration reaches 25 wt%. A further increase of the concentration of SY-FCF to 28 wt% resulted in a perfect nematic liquid crystal phase. However, more than 30 wt% of SY-FCF in aqueous solution was required to make an optically anisotropic film simply by shear coating. In our study, concentration of SY-FCF solution, coating speed, drying temperature, and relative humidity were considered as coating parameters affecting the preparation of optically anisotropic thin films. From analysis of variance analysis (ANOVA), the solution concentration was revealed as a main factor affecting the film thickness. The drying temperature and solution concentration were main factors affecting the transmittance of parallel direction ($T_o$). Especially, SY-FCF aqueous solution with high concentration induced a better alignment of LC columns and produced highly oriented anisotropic films. In this study, optically anisotropic films prepared by 33 wt% of SY-FCF in aqueous solution showed 89.7~98.7% of degree of polarization.

Film absorption involves simultaneous heat and mass transfer in the vapor-liquid system. In the present work, the absorption process of water vapor by an aqueous soluton of LiBr flowing inside of the vertical tube was investigated. The continuity, momentum, energy and diffusion equations for the solution film and vapor were formulated in integral forms and solved numerically. The model could predict the film thickness, the pressure gradient, and the heat and mass transfer rate. Particularly the effects of vapor flow conditions on the absorption process were investigated in terms of the vapor Reynolds number. As the vapor Reynolds number increased, the shear stress at the vapor-solution interface also increased. Consequently solution film became thinner at higher vapor flowrate under the co-currentflow condition. Thinner film was capable of higher heat transfer to the wall and leaded to higher absorption rate of the water vapor into the solution film.

Recently, thin film capacitors used for vehicle inverters are small size, high capacitance, fast response, and large capacitance. But its applications were made up of liquid as electrolyte, so its capacitors are limited to low operating temperature range and the polarity. This research proposes using Ni-P alloys by electroless plating as the electrode instead of liquid electrode. Our substrate has a high aspect ratio and complicated shape because of anodic aluminum oxide (AAO). We used AAO because film thickness and effective surface area are depended on for high capacitance. As the metal electrode instead of electrolyte is injected into AAO, the film capacitor has advantages high voltage, wide operating temperature, and excellent frequency property. However, thin film capacitor made by electroless-plated Ni on AAO for full-filling into etched tunnel was limited from optimizing the deposition process so as to prevent open-through pore structures at the electroless plating owing to complicated morphological structure. In this paper, the electroless plating parameters are controlled by temperature in electroless Ni plating for reducing reaction rate. The Electrical properties with I-V and capacitance density were measured. By using nickel electrode, the capacitance density for the etched and Ni electroless plated films was 100 nFcm-2 while that for a film without any etch tunnel was 12.5 nFcm-2. Breakdown voltage and leakage current are improved, as the properties of metal deposition by electroless plating. The synthesized final nanostructures were characterized by scanning electron microscopy (SEM).
This study addresses the behavior characteristics of diesel spray injected on the impinging disk with the room temperature. The models of impinging spray are the stick, the reflect and the wall jet model In the initiative of the fuel injection the impinging spray was the reflect model. because the momentum of droplets was very large. This model developed to the wall jet model according to the time approaches. On the low temperature disk the fuel film was made by the attachment of the droplets with low Weber number. The thickness of impinging spray was increased when the disk approached to the nozzle tip. Mathematical analysis for calculation with the behavior of impinging spray have to consider the reflecting effect and the influence of the fuel film.

Purpose : The aim of this study is to conform the possibility of the liquid type EPID as a QC tools to clinical indication and of replacement of the film dosimetry. Aditional aim is to describe a procedure for the use of a EPID as a physics calibration tool in the measurements of radiation beam parameters which are typically carried out with film. Method & Materials : In this study we used the Clinac 2100c/d with EPID. This system contains 65536 liquid-filled ion chambers arranged in a $256{\times}256$ matrix and the imaging area is $32.5{\times}32.5cm$ with liquid layer thickness of 1mm. The EPID was tested for different field sizes under typical clinical conditions and pixel values were calibrated against dose by producing images using various thickness of lead attenuators(lead step wedge) using 6 & 10MV x-ray. We placed various thickness of lead on the table of linear accelerator and set the portal vision an SDD of 100cm. To acquire portal image we change the field size and energy, and we recorded the average pixel value in a $3{\times}3$ pixel region of interest(ROI) at field center was recorded. The pixel values were also measured for different field sizes in order to evaluate the dependence of pixel value on x-ray energy spectrum and various scatter components. Result : The EPID, as a whole, was useful as a QA tool and dosimetry device. In mechanical check, cross-hair centering was well matched and the error was less than ?2mm and light/radiation field coincidence was less than 1mm also. In portal dosimetry the wider the field size the the higher the pixel value and as the lead thickness increase, the pixel value was exponentially decreased. Conclusions : The EPID was very suitable for QA tools and it can be used to measure exit dose during patients treatment with reasonable accuracy. But when indicate the EPID to clincal study deep consideration required
