율무 지방빌의 자동산화에 의해서 형성된 Hydroperoxides 이성체 조성 (Isomeric Composition of Hydroperoxides Formed by Autoxidation of Adlay Lipid and Triglyceride)

  • The compositions of hydroperoxy fatty acid components of lipid in raw adlay powder(RAP) and processed adlay powder(PAP) stored at 35$^{\circ}C$ and PAP lipid and triglyceride(TG) autoxi야-zed 35$^{\circ}C$ were studied. During autoxidation the time taken to reach 100 of peroxide and 13-hydroperoxide isomers were the major hydroperoxy fatty acids found in oxidized adlay lipid. Lower levels of 8-. 10-, 11-, 12- and 16-hydroperoxide isomer were also observed. The composi-tions of hydroperoxy fatty acid componets obtained from sutoxidized RAP lipid and TG were similar to those of hydroperoxy fatty acid components is lipid extracted from stored RAP and PAP.

Adsorption of $\textrm{Pb}_{2+}$ in the components of bacterial cell membrane

  • S. epidermidis cell was fractionated into cell wall, cell membrane and cytoplasm. The cell membrane adsorbed the most abundant $\textrm{Pb}_{2+}$ per unit dry weight of the three fractions tested. Adsorption behavior of $\textrm{Pb}_{2+}$ in lipid and protein, which are the main components of the cell membrane, indicated that phosphatidylethanolamine and phosphatidylinositol having phosphoryl group and gangliosides containing carboxyl groups adsorbed much more $\textrm{Pb}_{2+}$ than triglycerides lacking any chargeable functional groups. Protein purified from cell membrane adsorbed larger amount of $\textrm{Pb}_{2+}$ than total native cell membrane or cell membrane lipid.

Development of latent fingerprints contaminated with ethanol on paper surfaces

  • Fingerprints may be contaminated with ethanol solutions. In order to solve the case, the law enforcement agency may need to visualize the fingerprint from these samples, but the development method has not been studied. The paper with latent fingerprint was contaminated with ethanol solution and then the blurring of ridge detail was observed. As a result, when the copy paper was contaminated with ethanol solutions of less than 75 % (v/v), the amino acid components of latent fingerprint residue blurred but lipid components of latent fingerprint residue didn't blurred. On the other hand, when the paper was contaminated with ethanol solution of more than 80 % (v/v), the amino acid components of latent fingerprint didn't blurred but the lipid components of latent fingerprint blurred. Therefore, it is found that the paper contaminated with ethanol solutions of less than 75 % (v/v) should be treated by oil red O (ORO) enhancing lipid components, and the paper contaminated with ethanol solutions of 80 % (v/v) or more should be treated by 1,2-indandione/zinc (1,2-IND/Zn) enhancing amino acid components. The blurring of ridge detail was not observed when the fingerprints were deposited with fingers contaminated with ethanol solution. This fingerprints were treated with 1,2-IND/Zn or ORO to compare the latent fingerprint development ability, and using 1,2-IND/Zn was able to visualize the latent fingerprint more clearly than using ORO.

각국 인삼의 지방질성분에 관한 연구 제1보, 유리 지방질중의 지방질 및 지방산 조성 (Studies on the Lipid Components of Various Ginsengs 1. lipid and Fatty Acid Compositions of the Free Lipids)

  • Lipid and fatty acid compositions of the free lipids in Panax ginseng (Korea, Japan and China), Panax quinquefolium (America, Canada) and Panax notoginseng (China) were studied by means of silicic acid column chromatography, thin-layer chromatography and gas-liquid chromatography. Free lipid contents were 1.13 to 1.24% in panax ginseng and 0.87 to 1.18% in Panax quinquefolium and 0.39% in panax notoginseng. Neutral lipid fractions were 81.2 to 84.4%, while glycolipid fractions 8.01% to 14.47% and phospholipid fractions 3.49 to 5.74% in free lipid contents. The major components were triglycerides, free sterols, diglyceride, free fatty acids and sterol esters in neutral lipid fractions, sterol glucoside, monogalactosyl diglyceride, digalactosyl diglyceride, esterified steryl glucoside in glycolipid fractions and phosphatidyl glycerol, phosphatide, ethanolamine, phosphatidyl choline in phospholipid fractions. The contents and compositions of neutral lipids and glyclipids were some different among various ginsengs, whereas phospholipids showed relatively similar compositions in the contents. Seventeen fatty acids were analyzed in the four free lipid fractions from the various ginsengs and the main fatty acids were linoleic acid, palmitic acid, oleic acid and linolenic acid. It was found that the amounts of some fatty acids were different among the various ginsengs, but the fatty acid patterns of these ginsengs were on the whole similar.

각국 인삼의 지방질성분에 관한 연구 제2보, 결합 지방질중의 지방질 및 지방산 조성 (Studies on the Lipid Components of Various Ginsengs ll. Lipid and Fatty Acid Compositions of the Bound Lipids)

  • Lipid and fatty acid compositions of the bound lipids in Panax quinquefolium (Korea, Japan and China), Panax quinquefolium (America, Canada) and Panax notoginseng (China) were studied by means of silicic acid column chromatography, thin-layer chromatography and gas-liquid chromatography. The could lipid contents in various ginsengs were 0.29 to 0.48%, in which neutral lipid fractions were 63.6 to 67.3%, glycolipid fractions 21.9 to 25.7% and phospholipid fractions 7.7 to 12.4%. The content compositions of neutral lipid fractions were lower and those of glycolipid and phospholipid fractions were higher in the bound lipids than in the free lipids from the various ginseng. The major components were fatty acids, diglycerides and free sterols in neutral lipid fractions, monogalactosyl diglyceride, sterol glucoside and esterified steryl g1ycoside in glycolipid fractions and phosphatidyl glycerol, phosphatidyl ethanolamine and phosphatidic acid in phosphoipid fractions. Seventeen fatty acids were analyzed in the four bound lipid fractions from the various ginsengs and main fatty acids were linoleic acid, palmitic acid and oleic acid. Total saturated fatty acid and palmitic acid contents were higher and total unsaturated fatty acid and linoleic acid contents lower in the total bound lipids than in the total free lipids from the various ginsengs.

들깨박의 첨가가 흰쥐의 지질대사에 미치는 영향 (Effect of the Addition of Defatted Perilla on Lipid Metabolism in Rats)

  • This study was designed to obseve the effect of defatted perilla as a dietary fiber on lipid components of serum feces and liver in rats. Serum cholesterol and triglyceride were signfican-ly decreased in defatty perilla added groups. total lipid cholesterol and triglyceride of feces were significantly increased in defatted perilla added groups. Liver phospholipid content was higher in the defatted perilla added groups. The other lipid components of the liver were not affected by the defatted perilla administration. These results suggest the possibitlity that defatted perilla have a reducing effect of serum cholesterol and triglyceride through the incre-ment of feacal excretion of lipid component and phospholipid in liver.

Lipids in Ginseng (Panax ginseng) and Their Analysis

  • Ginseng (Panax ginseng) is recognized as one of the most valuable medicinal herbs in Asia and it contains diverse phytochemicals that contribute to its pharmacological effects. Although lipids represent a major component of ginseng, ginseng lipids are still far from being fully explored. This review is focused on ginseng lipid components and methodologies of their analysis. The ginseng lipid compounds were categorized according to the structural features of each lipid class. This basic information on ginseng lipid components and the analysis methods will be applicable to authentification or quality control of ginseng products, and development of lipid-based pharmaceuticals and nutraceuticals from ginseng.

통일미(統一米)의 저장에 따른 기호특성(嗜好特性) 및 지질성분(脂質成分)의 변화 (Changes in Eating Quality and Lipid Components of Tongil Rice Variety in Storage)

  • 국내에서 다수확품종으로 육성된 Indica형 장려품종인 통일미(米)와 Japonica형 재래 장려품종인 진흥미(米)를 $5^{\circ}C$$30^{\circ}C$에 6개월 저장한 후 기호특성(嗜好特性) 및 지질(脂質)성분의 변화를 비교한 결과는 다음과 같다. 최적가수율로 취반(炊飯)한 미반(米飯)의 texture특성은 어느 경우에나 저장에 의하여 hardness, cohesiveness, gumminess의 증가와 adhesiveness의 감소를 보였으며, 관능검사 결과는 두 품종이 모두 $5^{\circ}C$에 저장한 경우는 별 이상이 없었으나, $30^{\circ}C$에 저장한 경우 고미취(古米臭)가 발생하였고 진흥미의 경우 끈기가 현저히 감소하였다. 저장전 시료에서 지질(脂質)을 분별추출한 결과, 유리지질(遊離脂質)은 결합지질(結合脂質)의 5배나 되었으며 통일미는 진흥미의 $70{\sim}80%$에 해당하였다. 저장중 결합지질은 소량씩 증가 하는 경향이 있었으나, 유리지질은 $5^{\circ}C$저장의 경우 두 품종이 모두 증가하는 경향을 보인 반면 $30^{\circ}C$ 저장의 경우 통일미에서는 증가하나 진흥미에서는 감소하는 경향이 있었다. 저장 전 시료에서 추출정제한 유리지질에서는 triglyceride, free fatty acid, sterol ester를 주성분으로 하는 9개 성분을 확인하였고, 결합지질에서는 free fatty acid, sterol ester를 주성분으로 하는 8개 성분을 확인하였다. 저장중 유리지질은 결합지질보다 그리고 진흥미는 통일미보다 지질성분의 변화가 더욱 심하였다. 결국 통일미는 진흥미보다 저장성이 우수하며 저장중 변질(變質)은 주로 유리지질에서 발생함을 확인하였다.

한국산 겨우살이 열수추출액이 본태성 고혈압쥐의 지질성분 및 혈압 저하에 미치는 영향 (Effects of the Korean Mistletoe Hot-Water Extract on the Lipid Components and Blood Pressure Level in Spontaneously Hypertensive Rats)

  • This study was designed to observe the effects of Korean mistletoe(Viscum album L. var. coloratum Ohwi) hot-water extract administration on the improvement on the lipid components, apolipoprotein and blood pressure level in spontaneously hypertensive rats (SHR, Wistar strain, male) fed the experimental diets for 33 days. Concentrations of total cholesterol, triglyceride (TG), LDL-cholesterol, free cholesterol and atheroscieotic index in serum were significantly lower in the Korean mistletoe extract administration group [group KM(Korean mistletoe 10.0 g% hot-water extract)] than those in the control group. In the ratio of HDL-cholesterol concentration Korean mistletoe 10.0% hot-water extract administration group were higher percentage than in the control group. However, concentrations of total cholesterol and TG in liver and brain were significantly lower in the group KM than those in the control group. But the components of apolipoprotein (Apo) A-I and Apo A-II in serum were significantly higher in the KM group than in the control group. However, components of Apo C-II, Apo C-III, Apo E and ratio of Apo B to Apo A-I in serum were fairly reduced in the group KM than in the control group. The levels of systolic and diastolic blood pressure were significantly lower in KM cup than control group. From these results, Korean mistletoe hot-water extract administration were effective on the improvement of the lipid components, coronary heart disease and hypertension in spontaneously hypertensive rats. And particularly, Korean mistletoe extract administration were more effective as a therapeutic regimen for the control of blood pressure in hypertension.

명태 천일건조 중 지방질성분의 변화 (Changes in Lipid Components of Pollack During Sun-Drying)

  • 명태의 천일건조 중 일어나는 지방질성분의 변화 및 식염의 첨가가 지방질성분의 산화에 미치는 영향에 대하여 검토하였다. 10일간의 천일건조 중 소건시료에 비해 염건시료쪽이 지방질의 산화가 더 진행되었으며, 인지방질성분(PL)은 소건시료가 약 47%, 염건시료는 약 62% 정도 분해되는 것으로 나타났다. 중성지방질(NL)성분의 천일건조 중 변화는 소건, 염건시 모두 TG, ST와 DG가 감소한 반면, FFA 및 HC와 SE의 증가가 뚜렸하였다. PL성분은 PC 및 PE는 감소하였고 상대적으로 SPM 및 LPC는 급증하였다. 지방산조성의 변화에서는 20 : 5의 특이적인 감소가 인지되었고, 22 : 6은 약간의 감소를 보였다. NL성분은 건조 중 20 : 5가 상당량 감소한 반면 16 : 0, 18 : 0 및 18 : 1 등의 지방산 조성비는 약간씩 증가하였으며, 22 : 6은 거의 변화가 없었다. PL성분은 20 : 5 및 22 : 6이 상당량 감소한 반면, 16 : 0, 18 : 0 및 18 : 1은 증가하였으며, 총지방질(TL), NL 및 PL의 고도불포화 지방산 잔존율의 변화도 소건시료에 비해 염건시료쪽의 변화폭이 훨씬 컸다.
