  • 본 연구에서는 Home Network System에서 가전기기들을 제어하고 집안의 상황을 원격지에 있는 사용자에게 전달해 줄 수 있는 Home Network Mobile Robot을 제작하여 보다 더 지능적이고 사용자에게 편리한 Home Network System을 구축한다. 이를 위해 본 논문에서는 실제 Home Network 시스템 하에서의 자율이동 로봇을 고안하였으며 이의 구동을 위해 OS로는 Linux Kernel 2.4를 Porting 하였고, Vision 및 Ethernet 통신이 용이하도록 회로를 설계, 제작하였다.

  • Currently many sensors and processing data in a robot based on USN environments need to real-time features. In this paper, we examine recent research trends on real-time operating systems, especially on real-time embedded Linux, RTAI and Xenomai, for intelligent robots. Xenomai is a real-time development framework and have special feature supporting RTAI, VxWorks, pSOS+ etc. through the "skin". This research gives a guide to researcher in using real-time embedded Linux in the sense of architecture, supporting real-time mechanisms, kinds of real-time device driver, performances.

  • In this study, we explain the process and the technique required for implementing web-based remote control system based on embedded processor, SAl110, and embedded Linux. At first. cross-compile environment for target system should be constructed on host computer, and bootloader in charge of Linux booting may be loaded on the target system. Then, kernel image is compiled and loaded on the target system. Embedded Linux porting process is completed when ram disk image is generated. Finally, we load wed-server and device driver on the ram disk and make web-page for remote control using CGI. Through the above process, we implement web-based remote control system and present the result.

  • Introduction of digital broadcasting service does not only mean the change of information transmission method but also the change of total broadcasting system. In past day, Television was only received one-sided information from broadcasting station, but digital broadcasting means that digital television becomes the most important means of information transmission by the introduction of new programming, lots of channels, data service, multi communication. In the age of the digital broadcasting, the recording and replay medium's interest is getting higher. The medium is able to record more than 24 hours' digital broadcasting programs without additional tapes. In this paper the recording and replay device using HDD was implemented and device driver based on linux was programmed. It has Intel PXA250 processor and hard disk is used as storage equipment. And transport Stream is saved on hard disk through PXA250's data bus. FIFO is added to solve the different saving speed and FPGA is also added to display the saved data.

  • In this paper, we present a new method for monitoring of ECU's sensor signals of vehicle. In order to measure the ECU's sensor signals, the interfaced circuit is designed to communicate ECU and the Embedded Linux is used to monitor communication result through Web the Embedded Linux system and this system is said "ECU Interface Part". In ECU Interface Part the interface circuit is designed to match voltage level between ECU and SA-1110 micro controller and interface circuit to communicate ECU according to the ISO, SAE communication protocol standard. Because Embedded Linux does not allow to access hardware directly in application level, anyone who wants to modify any low level hardware must develop device driver. To monitor ECU's sensor signals the most important thing is to match serial level between ECU and ECU Interface Part. It means to communicate correctly between two hardware we need to match voltage and signal level, and need to match baudrate. The voltage of SA-1110 is 0 ${\sim}$ +3.3V and ECU is 0 ${\sim}$ +12V and, ECU's communication Line K does multiple operation so, the interface circuit is used to match voltage and signal level. In Addition to ECU's baudrate is 10400bps, it's not standard baudrate in computer environment. So, we need to develop a device driver to control the interface circuit, and change baudrate. To monitor ECU's sensor signals through web there's a network socket program is working in Embedded Linux. It works as server program and manages user's connections and commands. Anyone who wants to monitor ECU's sensor signals he just only connect to Embedded Linux system with web browser then, Embedded Linux webserver will return the ActiveX webbased measurement software. It works in web browser and inits ECU, as a result it returns sensor signals through web. All the programs are developed with GCC(GNU C Compiler) and, webbased measurement software is developed with Borland C++ Builder.

  • In order to decrease the power consumption in Embedded Linux environment based on XScale PXA255, We produce the device driver of DFS(Dynamic Frequency Scaling) technique, design and implement the middleware DFM(Dynamic Frequency Management) to scale the power of embedded target board with porting this device drive, suggest the method to reduce the Embedded system's power consumption.

  • We have designed embedded web server system and ported Linux operating system version 2.4.1 at our system. And then We implemented to control and monitor widely separated hardware. Web server is the Boa web server with General Public License. We designed for this system using of Cirrus logic's EP7312 ARM core base processor and connecting input and output device at GPIO port of EP7312. Device driver of General purpose I/O for Linux OS is designed. And then the application program controlling driver is implemented to use of common gate interface C language. User is available to control and monitor at client PC. This method have benefit to reduce the Expenditure of hardware design and development time against PC base system and have various and capacious application against firmware base system.

  • 최근 인터넷과 전자기기 및 컴퓨터 시스템 기술의 발달에 맞물려 컴퓨터, 이동전화, 셋탑박스, 디지털 TV, 개인 휴대 단말기 등 정보단말기의 네트워크화가 급진전되면서 임베디드 리눅스가 IT분야의 새로운 관심사로 부상하고 있다. 리눅스는 오픈 소스로서 가격 경쟁력을 확보할 수 있으며, 공개된 장치 드라이버와 응용프로그램의 재사용이 가능하고, 오픈 소스 공동체를 통해 문제를 쉽게 해결할 수 있을 뿐 아니라 쉘, 파일 시스템을 이용하여 편리한 개발 환경을 제공해 주는 이점이 있다. 본 논문에서는 리눅스 운영체제를 디지털 TV에 이식하기 위해 크로스 컴파일 환경과 커널을 빅 엔디언(Endian)으로 변경하고, 커널 구동에 필수적인 장치들을 재설계함으로 리눅스 커널을 디지털 TV에 맞게 최적화함으로써 임베디드 리눅스 운영체제를 설계하였다. 또한 디지털 TV에서의 시스템 장치 제어를 위하여 I2C Bus Interface 디바이스 드라이버를 작성하였다.

  • Android- and Linux-based embedded systems require device drivers, which are structured and built in kernel functions. However, device driver software (firmware) provided by various 3rd parties is not usually checked in terms of their security requirements but is simply included in the final products, that is, Android-based smart phones. In addition, static analysis, which is generally used to detect vulnerabilities, may result in extra cost to detect critical security issues such as privilege escalation due to its large proportion of false positive results. In this paper, we propose and evaluate an effective technique to detect vulnerabilities in Android device drivers using both static and dynamic analyses.

  • A Digital TV system is necessary for data Processing as well as video and audio processing. Especially in the case of interactive broadcasting, it should manage returning channel created by the Internet, PSTN, and so on. Because of many functionalities and multitasking jobs, it needs an Operating System. Embedded Linux as open source program can increase a cost effectiveness in market and has many advantages - reusable device drivers and application programs, more convenient developing environment using shell and file system, and easy problem resolution within Open Source Community. In this paper, we modified Embedded Linux kernel and cross developing environment for a big-endian system, redesigned devices for kernel execution, and configured system memory map in order to load a linux kernel. Also we developed an device driver for entire system control.
