피스톤의 점성 마찰력을 고려한 소형 왕복동 압축기의 동적 해석 (Dynamic Analysis of the Small Reciprocating Compressors Considering Viscous Frictional Force of a Piston)

  • In this study, a dynamic analysis of the reciprocating compression mechanism considering viscous friction force of a piston used in small refrigeration compressors is performed. The length of cylinder in this class of compressors is shortening to diminish the frictional losses of the piston-cylinder system. So, the contacting length between piston and cylinder liner is in variable with the rotating crank angle around the BDC of the reciprocating piston. In the problem formulation of the compression mechanism dynamics, the change in bearing length of the piston and all corresponding viscous forces and moments are considered in order to determine the trajectories of piston and crankshaft. The piston orbits for viscous friction model and Coulomb friction model were used to compare the effect of the friction forces of piston on the dynamic trajectories of piston. To investigate the effect of friction force acting on the piston for the dynamic characteristics of crankshaft, comparison of the crankshaft loci is given in both viscous model and Coulomb model. Results show that the viscous friction force of piston must be considered in calculating for the accurate dynamic characteristics of the reciprocating compression mechanism.

가솔린 엔진에서 연료 분사량 및 오일 온도에 따른 피스톤 마찰손실 특성 연구 (Study on the Characteristics of Piston Friction Losses for Fuel Injected Mass and Oil Temperature in a Gasoline Engine)

  • To measure the change in friction loss due to the control of fuel mass and oil temperature in a gasoline engine, the floating liner method was used to measure the friction generated by the piston of a single-cylinder engine. First, to check the effect of combustion pressure on friction, the friction loss was measured by adjusting the fuel mass. It was confirmed that the friction loss increased as the fuel mass increased under the same lubrication conditions. In addition, it was confirmed that the mechanical efficiency decreased as the fuel mass increased. Next, to check the effect of lubrication conditions on friction, the friction loss was measured by controlling the oil temperature. It was confirmed that friction loss increased as the oil temperature decreased at the same fuel mass. As the oil temperature decreases, the viscosity increases, resulting in decreased mechanical efficiency and increased friction loss.

  • The test method on the Type II high-pressure hydrogen storage tanks made of the metal wire hoop winding is a complex and high risk. Also closeup on the tank being test is difficult. In this study, we studied a mechanical test method for a high-pressure hydrogen tanks. This method must be simple, risk-free and possible to observe the change in microscopic behavior of a metal wire on a liner. As the results, it was possible to observe the microscopic behavior on the metal wire by the mechanical test method. Also, a simple and risk-free test was possible compared to the conventional test method for high pressure hydrogen tanks.

Radiation Shielding Effect due to Cracks in Concrete Silo Dry Storage Systems

  • The concrete silo dry storage system, which has been in operation at the Wolsong NPP site since 1992, consists of a concrete structure, a steel liner plate in the inner space, and a fuel basket. The silo system's concrete structure must maintain structural integrity as well as adequate radiation shielding performance against the high radioactivity of spent nuclear fuel stored inside the storage system. The concrete structure is directly exposed to the external climatic environment in the storage facility and can be expected to deteriorate over time owing to the heat of spent nuclear fuel, as well as particularly cracks in the concrete structure. These cracks may reduce the radiation shielding performance of the concrete structure, potentially exceeding the silo system's allowable radiation dose rate limits. For specimens with the same composition and physical properties as silo's concrete structures, cracks were forcibly generated and then irradiated to measure the change in radiation dose rate to examine the effect of cracks in concrete structures on radiation shielding performance, and in the current state, the silo system maintains radiation shielding performance.

  • 세계 제조 산업의 국제 분업화는 아시아 지역 특히, 동북아 컨테이너 시장의 성장을 주도하고 있다. 이와 더불어 항만산업의 대외적인 환경도 변화하고 있는데, 글로벌 선사 및 터미널 운영사는 대형 M&A 통해 시장 점유율과 지배력을 강화하고 아시아 지역으로의 진출을 가속화하고 있다. 동북아 지역은 이러한 환경변화와 중국항만의 성장으로 그 경쟁이 심화되고 있으며, 부산항은 성장률과 점유율이 지속적으로 감소하고 있다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 동북아 지역의 항만 집중도 변화과정을 살펴보고, 부산항이 지역내 경쟁에서 어떠한 위치를 차지하고 있는지를 분석하였다. 분석결과 부산항의 경쟁적 포지션은 지속적으로 약화되고, 많은 물동량이 경쟁항만에 빼앗긴 것으로 나타났으며, 이를 기반으로 지속 가능한 경쟁력 확보를 위한 글로벌화 전략을 제시하였다.

개량혼합토를 이용한 폐기물 매립지 차수층의 중금속 고정능력에 관한 연구 (A study on the fixation of heavy metals with modified soils in the landfill liner)

  • 본 연구에서는 점토차수재의 대체물질로서 매립지 현장토에 첨가재(시멘트, 벤토나이트 고화제)를 혼합하는 방법인 개량혼합토 공법을 대상으로 하여, 토목 환경적인 연구로서 차수/강도 효과 및 회분식/컬럼식 테스트를 통한 중금속의 고정능력에 관한 평가를 수행하였다. 지반공학적 연구(투수계수/압축실험)를 실시한 결과, CL 계열의 현장토(CL)에 첨가재(시멘트, 벤토나이트: 팽윤도로 구분하여 고품위 벤토나이트 B\circled1. 저품위 벤토나이트 B\circled2. 고화제)를 혼합함으로써 폐기물 매립지의 법적 기준(1x10-7cm/sec 이하)을 만족하였다. 또한 개량혼합토 제조시 시멘트 : 벤토나이트 : 고화제 = 90 : 60 : 1의 비율이 가장 적합하였으며, 팽윤도로 구별된 저품위 벤토나이트(B\circled2)의 사용가능성을 보여주었다. 첨가재의 종류에 따른 개량혼합토(column2, 3, 4)의 양이온교환능력(Cation Exchange Capacity, CEC) 측정 결과, 현장토와 비교하여 약 1.5배 정도 CEC가 증가한 것을 확인할 수 있었으나, 첨가재에 따른 큰 차이점은 보이지 않았다. 화학구성과 결정구조의 변화를 살펴보기 위한 XRF와 SEM측정 결과, 첨가재에 따른 고화토의 결정구조의 큰 변화 양상을 확인할 수 없었다. 컬럼을 사용하여 중금속($Pb^{2+}$ $Cu^{2+}$ , $Cd^{2+}$ , $Zn^{2+}$ l00mg/L)을 혼합한 인공침출수를 현장토(columnl)와 첨가재의 종류에 따른 개량혼합토(column2, 3, 4)에 적용시킨 결과, 현장토의 경우, 유출수의 pH가 감소됨과 동시에 $Cd^{2+}$$Zn^{2+}$가 유출되어 거의 파과점까지 도달하였으며, 현장토의 중금속 고정능력은 $Pb^{2+}$$Cu^{2+}$ > $Zn^{2+}$ > $Cd^{2+}$ 순으로 나타났다. 개량혼합토의 경우, 동일한 시점에서 column l에서 보여졌던 파과 현상은 나타나지 않았고, 팽윤도가 높은 B\circled1(column 2)보다 저급의 B\circled2(column 3)를 첨가한 개량혼합토가 화학적으로 훨씬 안정함을 보여주었으며, 시멘트, 벤토나이트와 함께 보조적으로 고화제(column 4)를 첨가했을 경우, 이러한 결과가 한층 더 두드러진다.

오염물질에 의한 점토 차수재의 역학적 특성변화 및 지하수 오염거동 (The Change in Geotechnical Properties of Clay Liner and the Contamination Behavior of Groundwater Due to Contaminant)

  • 오염물질로 오염된 퇴적점토의 강도, 변형 및 투수특성 변화를 파악하기 위하여 NaCl 수용액과 매립장 침출수를 시료의 간극수(포화수)로 교체하여 삼축압축시험과 압밀시험을 수행하였다. 또한, 채취된 점토시료의 화학적 특성을 규명하기 위하여 주사전자현미경(SEM) 관찰과 에너지분산분광(EDX) 분석이 수반된다. 화학성분 분석결과 O, C, Si, Al, Fe 크기 순의 구성비가 얻어졌으며, 삼축압축시험 및 압밀시험결과는 NaCl의 농도가 증가할수록 극한응력(강도)은 증가하고 압축성과 투수성이 커지는 경향을 보이는데, 이는 전해질의 농도가 증가할수록 확산이중층(DDL)의 두께가 감소되어 면모화되기 때문인 것으로 판단된다. 또한, 점토 차수재를 투과한 침출수가 지하수 오염에 미치는 영향을 분석하기 위하여 MT3D 해석모델이 이용되었으며, 지하수 오염거동 해석결과 초기 염소이온 농도가 클수록 측정농도도 커지며, 시간경과에 따라 지하수 오염농도는 비선형적으로 증가되었다. 지하수 오염농도 감쇄 관계식을 유도하여 지하수 오염 이동거리를 예측한 결과, 초기농도가 클수록 지하수 오염 이동거리도 크게 나타났다.

무치악 환자에서 조직양화제(tissue conditioner)가 시간과 두께에 따라 체적안정성의 변화에 미치는 영향 (Tissue conditioner in edentulous patients, depending on the time and the thickness of the changes affect the dimensional stability)

  • 이 연구는 임상적으로 많이 쓰이는 3종의 조직양화제(Coe-comfort, GC Soft-Liner, Visco-Gel)의 시간에 따른 체적 안정성을 비교하였다. 시편은 10mm의 반경으로 두께를 1.5mm, 3.0mm로 각각 제작하여 두께에 따른 차이를 비교하였다. 체적의 변화는 시편 제작 후 1시간 (baseline), 12시간, 24시간, 36시간, 3일, 7일에 측정하였다. SAS 6.04 통계 package program을 이용하여 ANOVA분석하였다. 실험한 조직양화제에서는 점탄성을 상실하여 조직양화제를 교체하거나 기공 과정을 하기에 적합한 시간은 변형이 적은 혼합 후 36시간~3일이었다. Tissue conditioner의 종류에 따라 시간의 경과에 따른 탄성 변화량에는 유의할 만한 차이가 있었다(p<0.05). 조직양화제 1.5mm, 3.0mm 두께에 의해 체적안정성에 유의한 차이가 있었다(p<0.05). 자체의 이상적인 탄성 변형과 복원력만을 비교 하였을 때를 보면, Visco-Gel 3.0mm군에서 가장 안정적인 체적안정성을 보였다. 또한, 조직 양화제는 재료 간의 체적 안정성에 다양한 범위가 있어 기능인상에 적합한 것을 선택을 하는 것이 중요하다.

Developing improvement technology in pre-etching process for the Shadow Mask quality of flat color TV

  • Recently CRT is getting flatted, As change of CRT trend from normal type to Flat type, the material of Shadow Mask was also changed from AK(Aluminum Killed) to Invar(Fe-Ni alloy) materials Until now we have used just AK(Aluminum Killed) for normal type TV(not flat type), but main raw material of shadow mask component was changed. . However recently Invar(Fe-Ni alloy) materials, which has advantage of Low Thermal Expansion and High Strength, has been developed as well as applying in mass production as CRT's trend has become more flat and fine pitch. As main raw material of shadow mask component was changed, conditions of process were changed. One of them, the importance of pre-etching process (assistant process for developing & etching) is improved because there are so many particles in the pre-etching bath because of Ni compounds. Since the solubility of Ni in pre-etching solvent is very low related to Fe's, so the compounds of Ni happen to make particles.(the solubility of Fe is twenty times Ni's) that particles happen to make process troubles and NG productions so to clear the particles we had to established high cost filtering system, but it is useless. As time goes by the quantity of particles (Ni compounds) was increased because of the capability of filtering system was not enough, the particles was produced continuous in bath, and it make quality problems. Hence we tried to develop the new pre-etching solution to remove the particles (Ni compounds) and to cost down the filtering system's running cost. But in improving the solution we discovered the new pre-etching solution made the PR developing better. In former solution there were three kinds of chemistry (COOH)2 , H2O2 , H2S04 .first the function of (COOH)2 is drilling the surface of Invar, during this mechanism Ni compounds occurred. Second the function of H202 is removing the PR fringe (half UV exposure zone on PR(PVA)), Third the function of H2S04 is the catalysis of (COOH)2 In those, (COOH)2 was the main reason to make the Ni compounds. So to improve the solutions we had to change (COOH)2 to the other material. the chemistry we improved was a complex chemistry based on H2S04 . after using this chemistry the particles problem was disappeared and there was another advantage cut down the PR fringe. The New solution made the function of H202 better so the PR developing improved. To be direct the catalyst of the new solution helped the H202. anyway First thing after change the solution the quality of shadow Mask for flat color TV was improved & the yield also improved. But the more important thing is how to control the new solution. So we accepted the new concept which was the degree of freshness. The degree of freshness is based on non-reacted solution which was 100% ( the degree of freshness) and calculated the melted Ni quantity as time goes by. So we made the gauging liner plot. In conclusion, many companies tried to make fine pitched Shadow Mask ,generally to make quality jump up it needed a lot of cost & persons .in this case the shift of core material made it possible.

두부 손상 보호를 위한 승객용 헬멧 개발 연구 (The Research on the Development of Passenger Helmet to Prevent Head Trauma)

  • Introduction : Head trauma is the main cause of death in aircraft crash. In a Michigan study of structurally survivable, fatal accidents, 80% of the fatally injured had received head trauma. We tried to develop a new helmet for passengers, and perform its efficiency test. Methods : An aircraft helmet requires an excellent protection against head trauma, lightness, and small volumes. In addition, it must be wearable, fire resistant, and non toxic when it is burning. We developed two new helmets made from silicone foam which met all theses requirements. One was thin (2.5cm), and the other was thick (6.3cm). These looked like a motorcycle helmet and had only a soft silicone as liner material without an outer hard shell. Therefore we can carry them easily inside aircrafts. The standard test for helmet is Snell's drop test. It measures the impact acceleration of head shaped metal wearing helmet during we drop it at certain heights. Impact sites were total 5 sites (front, back, right, left and top) for each helmet. All these sites were impacted twice. Results : The thickness of impact sites varied from 2.5cm to 6.3cm. The impact acceleration of 2.5cm thickness site when it was dropped from 1.0 meter was 379g. But, that of 6.3cm thickness site when it was dropped from 1.5 meter was only 163g. Unfortunately, both helmets didn't meet the Snell Standard for motorcycle helmets. Discussion : If we add suitable outer hard shell, and change its thickness and design, the efficiency will be increased. A study indicated that helmet could reduce the risk of head trauma up to 85%. We made helmet for passengers in aircraft crash for the first time. If we improve its weak points, it will decrease the frequency of head trauma in aircraft craft.
