미세입자 분사가공용 시퀸스 제어가 가능한 2축 스테이지 개발에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Development of a 2-axis Stage with Sequence Control for Micro Particle Blast Machining)

  • A stable rotational-to-linear motion transformation structure using a driving mechanism with 2 degrees of freedom was developed for an orthogonal mechanism to prevent the interference of each axis in 2D motion. In this mechanism, a step motor was used for precise position control. This structure was developed to maneuver workparts in micro particle blast machining experiments. To determine the real-time performance of micro particle blast machining, the control, input, and output were operated simultaneously and precise position control was implemented, using a timer interrupt with multiple execution codes. The two step motors obtained precise position control by removing backlash with a ball-screw mechanism. The device has menu-type control codes for user-friendliness, and real-time sequence control was simultaneously adopted for user control input.

  • Fundamental positioning characteristics of a dual-axis Sawyer linear motor are described. The Sawyer motor is capable of high positional accuracy. An electronic control unit of the motor whose velocity is proportional to the frequency of the electric current was produced in our laboratory. The positioning system was constructed using two Sawyer motors, an air bearings suspension unit and an electronic control unit. The stable motion of the motor was confirmed on the open loop operation. The adjustable operating conditions were the live load of 1 kg, the maximum acceleration of 1.2G and the maximum velocity of 350 mm/s. Absolute positioning accuracy was improved within .+-.5.mu.m, on microstep operating conditions of dividing one pitch of 508.mu.m into 508 steps. The following two conclusions were obtained. An accelerating-cruising-decelerating control is effective for reduction in the travel time required. Also, microstep operation is effective for improving the resolution of position.

Wide Air-gap Control for Multi-module Permanent Magnet Linear Synchronous Motors without Magnetic Levitation Windings

  • This paper proposes a wide air-gap control method for the multi-module permanent magnet linear synchronous motor (MM-PMLSM) based on independent vector control. In particular, the MM-PMLSM consists of symmetrical multi-module and multi-phase structures, which are basically three-phase configurations without a neutral point, unlike conventional three-phase machines. In addition, there are no additional magnetic levitation windings to control the normal force of the air-gap between each stator and mover. Hence, in this paper, a dq-axis current control applying a d-q transformation and an independent vector control are proposed for the air-gap control between the two symmetric stators and mover of the MM-PMLSM. The characteristics and control performance of the MM-PMLSM are analyzed under the concept of vector control. As a result, the proposed method is easily implemented without additional windings to control the air-gap and the mover position. The effectiveness of the proposed independent vector control algorithm is verified through experimental results.

  • The two-degree-of-freedom direct drive induction motor, which is capable of linear, rotary and helical motion, has a wide application in special industry such as industrial robot arms. It is inevitable that the linear motion and rotary motion generate coupling effect on each other on account of the high integration. The analysis of this effect has great significance in the research of two-degree-of-freedom motors, which is also crucial to realize precision control of them. The coupling factor considering the coupling effect is proposed and addressed by 3D finite element method. Then the corrected mathematical model is presented by importing the coupling factor. The results from it are verified by 3D finite element model and prototype test, which validates the corrected mathematical model.

  • 본 논문에서는 3상 유도전동기의 고장진단을 수행하기 위해 상호정보량과 선형판별분석기법에 기반을 둔 진단 알고리즘을 제안한다. 실험 장치는 유도전동기 구동의 기계적 모듈과 고장신호를 구하기 위한 데이터 획득 모듈로 구성하였다. 제안된 방법은 취득된 전류신호를 DFT에 의해 주파수 영역으로 변환한 후 분산정보를 이용하여 고장상태별로 차별성이 큰 순서대로 유효 주파수 성분을 추출한다. 다음 단계로 선택된 주파수 성분에 대해서 선형판별분석기법을 적용하여 고장상태별 특징들을 추출한 후 k-NN 분류기에 의해 유도전동기의 상태를 진단하게 된다. 제안된 방법의 타당성을 보이기 위해 다양한 조건하에서 실험한 결과 기존방법에 비하여 우수한 결과를 나타냈다.

Design of Auxiliary Teeth on the Edge of Stationary Discontinuous Armature PM-LSM with Concentrated Winding

  • Recently, the stationary discontinuous armature, Permanent Magnet Linear Synchronous Motor (PM-LSM), was suggested as a driving source for long-distance transportation system. However, as these motors arrange armatures discontinuously, an edge occurs thereby leading to a cogging force. This works as a factor that hinders the acceleration and deceleration that takes place when movers enter into and eject from armatures. Therefore, in this study, the installation of auxiliary teeth on the edge of the armature of PM-LSM is suggested in order to reduce the cogging force caused by the edge when the armature is placed in a discontinuous arrangement. Auxiliary teeth are optimally designed by a 2-D numerical analysis using the finite element method was performed to generate the optimum design of the auxiliary teeth. The validity of the study was confirmed through the comparison of the cogging force induced at the edge in respect to the design parameter using the basic model.

리얼타임 리눅스기반 개방향제어기 개발 (Development of Real time Linux-based Open Architecture Controller)

  • In the manufacturing industries, agility and flexibility are the key issues to meet the various market demands. From this point of view, open architecture control has many advantages. This paper suggests a real-time Linux-based open architecture controller. Linux-based and windows-based controllers are compared in several aspects, and Linux is shown to be advantageous over the windows. With the user friendly GUI, the suggested controller is applied to the X-Y stage which is made of two linear motors. Path following and repeatability performances are successfully observed, which shows the validity of the suggested controller.

션트저항을 이용한 3상 인버터의 전압 변조지수 증대 (Improvement of Modulation Index in 3-phase Inverters using Shunt Resistors)

  • This paper has done a hardware-based approach to increase the modulation index in 3-phase inverters, unlike the conventional software algorithm-based approaches. The minimum required time to measure the currents in a three-phase inverters with shunt resistors has also been analyzed. By the analysis, the longest time in minimum required time is AD conversion time. To shorten the minimum required time, this paper proposed a sample-and-hold(S/H) circuit implemented at the inverter current signal output to retain the current signal. When the linear operation region of an inverter with S/H was compared with that without it, the modulation index was increased by 7.8 %. Inverters with S/H circuits can employ the traditional software algorithms, such as the voltage injection method or current restoration method, and it will yield further increase the modulation index.

  • Fuzzy control has been researched for application of industrial processes which have no accurate mathematical model and could not controlled by conventional methods because of a lack of quantitative input-output data. Intelligent control approach based on fuzzy logic could directly reflex human thinking and natural language to controller comparing with conventional methods. In this paper, the tested system is constructed for sending a ball to the goal position using wind from two DC motors in the path. This system contains non-linearity and uncertainty because of the characteristic of aerodynamics inside the path. The system used in this experiment could be hardly modeled by mathematic methods and could not be easily controlled by linear control manners. The controller, in this paper could control the system containing non-linearity and uncertainty because it is designed based on the input-output data and experimental knowledge obtained by trials.

  • This paper describe an intelligent cruise control system for automobile. With the remarkable numerical increase of automobiles on the road, the optimized traffic flow control using the cruise control is one of the very important traffic problems to overcome the limitation of an existing road capacity. Based on this idea that minimize the fuel cost and the air pollution, and accept a driver's needs for driving, we have developed an intelligent cruise control system for vehicle. This proposed intelligent fuzzy cruise controller was successfully implemented using the fuzzy algorithm, the i80c196 μ-controller board and the throttle valve actuator. The field test results on an linear road was introduced.
