  • This paper deals with reduction of torque ripple of slotless PM linear synchronous motor (PMLSM) with divided permanent magnet using 2D analytical method. To confirm the validity of this study, analysis values by analytical method are comprared with the results of 2D FEM and experimental results. And the results of divided PM model is compared with none divided PM model.

  • This paper deals with a polynomial thrust equation of a permanent magnet linear synchronous motor that is considered by a skew and overhang effects of permanent magnet. The skew length, the overhang length, the width and height of permanent magnet, the teeth length and air-gap length which effect to the flux density of air-gap are selected as variables of the polynomial thrust equation. Polynomial thrust equation is elicited by the 6 parameters. The results are satisfied that the values by polynomial thrust equation are compared ones by using 3-dimensional finite element analysis and experiment.

  • The stationary discontinuous armatures that are used in permanent magnet linear synchronous motors (PM-LSMs) have been proposed as a driving source for transportation systems. However, the stationary discontinuous armature PM-LSM contains the outlet edges which always exist as a result of the discontinuous arrangement of the armature. For this reason, the outlet edge cogging force generated between the armature's core and the mover's permanent magnet. This paper contemplated the outlet cogging for ceaccording to 2-D numerical analysis by FEM. We installed the auxiliary pole for in order to minimize the outlet cogging force.

  • This paper presents the system design of high speed linear synchronous machine in the required speed and thrust considering power of inverter. in this paper, the design of manufacturing motor is optimized by characteristics of motor parameters with the variation of coil turns of rotor and stator. And, the dynamic simulation are performed from the (d-q) transformation of the current and voltage and the mechanical dynamic equation composed of the mover mass and damping ratio. Finally, the results of design and analysis are verificated by finite element analysis.

  • 본 논문에서 로프리스 엘리베이터용 영구자석형(PM) 선형동기전동기(LSM)의 디텐트력을 저감하기 위하여 반응표면법(RSM)을 이용한 디텐트력의 최소화 설계 방법을 제안하였다. RSM을 이용하여 정수 슬롯형과 분수 슬롯형 PM-LSM의 설계변수를 추론하고 유한요소법(FEM)으로 디텐트력을 구하였다. 반응표면법과 유한요소법의 해석결과를 토대로 분수 슬롯형 PM-LSM이 주어진 체적의 엘리베이터 시스템에 적합한 형상임을 입증한다.

  • In this paper, we propose a new discrete-time predictive current controller for a PM-LSM(permanent magnet linear synchronous motor). The main objectives of the current controllers are to ensure that the measured stator currents tract the command values accurately and to shorten the transient interval as much as possible, in order to obtain high-performance of ac drive system. A new control strategy is seen the scheme that gets the fast adaptation of transient current change, the fast transient response tracking and is proposed simplified calculation. Moreover, the simulation results will be verified the improvements of predictive controller and accuracy of the current controller.

  • Since it started the researches on a maglev train on 1960, Germany and Japan arrived to putting to practical use level and accomplished most tests from their test-line. Korea is in progress the preparation for a practical use of low-speed maglev train in 110 [km/h] class and Korea Railroad Research Institute(KRRI) is in progress of a research about core technology of maglev system for high-speed tube train of 700 [km/h] class. In this paper, authors suggest an effective design method of Linear Synchronous Motor(LSM) for high-speed tube train of 700 [km/h] class which has a wound type electro-magnet. Then, authors calculate a variety of properties by changing speed of the LSM model which is designed by a method based on some theoretical equations. Then, authors verify the validity of the method based on some theoretical equations through a verification of property values by Finite Element Method(FEM) analysis method. Finally, in order to design a shape of pole-shoe part of LSM electro-magnet which is hard to design with a basic design method, authors analyze a transition of property values by changing a pole-shoe width and current of the electro-magnet through an analytical method by FEM.

  • 본 연구에서는 선형동기전동기(Linear Synchronous Motor)의 회전형 시험기 설계를 위해서 그 기본 모델이 되는 선형동기 전동기의 기초 설계 과정을 통해 주요 파라미터를 선정하고 FEM 모델을 도출하였다. 또한 유한요소법을 이용하여 전자계 해석을 수행하여 선형동기전동기의 특성을 분석하였고, 설계된 선형동기전동기를 바탕으로 회전형으로 모델링하여 시험기의 형태로 설계하였으며, 유한요소해석을 통해 요구 사양을 만족함을 확인하였다.

  • LMTT (Linear Motor based Transfer Technology), which is a new type transfer system used in the maritime container terminal for the port automation, is driven by PM LSM (Permanent Magnetic Linear Synchronous Motor), and largely consists of a controller, shuttle car, and rail. The shuttle car is divided into the frame part, the driving part, and wheels. Because the shuttle car is supported by four wheels in opposition to have five times length for the width of it, a larger deflection than other transfer system using the linear motor occurs. This deflection changes the gap between the mover and the stator, and then brings on an ununiform thrust force. So in this study, we dealt with the structural design for the mover of the shuttle car to generate the uniform thrust force for the efficient control of it. For the investigation, the thickness for each beam of the mover was adopted as design variables, the weight of the mover as objective function, and stress and deflection of the mover as constraint condition.
