  • In this study, underdeveloping heavy-load driving servo control system, which are composed of controller, electro-hydraulic servo-valve, hydraulic motor, reduction gear box, turret slew bearing and turret structure, are investigated to simplify the control system. To estimate the effect of each component, modeling and simulation of linear and nonlinear system are carried out. In the first stage, to prove the reliability of performance estimation program, simulation results are compared with experimental results. In the second stage, the effect of each component of control system is evaluated and then a simplified control system is suggested.

  • With the advance of processing technology , so as to spare fuel, piston heads used in automobile reciprocating engine have complex 3-dimension, with respect to shape such as ovality, profile, eccentricity, offset, recess. Therefore, coming out of the existing process work used master cam. the process work is performed using a CNC lathe. For a precision processing, the processing work is need to make study of high speed feed gear synchronized with the rotative speed of main spindle. And then the high speed feeding system must maintain high dynamic stiffness, high speed and high positioning accuracy . In this paper, in order to achieve high speed cutting tool feeding. The linear brushless DC motor is used for satisfying this process work. The ball bush and turicite is used as the guidance of the feed gear system. Also linear encoders, digital servo amplifiers and controller are used for controlling driving motor. This paper presents the design and simulation of the new tool feed system for noncircular machining.

  • Generally PI controller is used in the servo system, But the time response of the system which is designed by the PI control scheme is deviated from the desired time response by the system parameter variation or the perturbation like the torque disturbance. LMFC(Linear Model Following Controller) is used to make the response of the system follow that of the model even though the parameter variation or the perturbation exists. In this paper, the design method which uses auxiliary model to construct the robustness enhancer in LMFC is proposed. And this robustness enhancer is designed by robust control theory. The proposed method has facter convergence time against low frequency torque disturbance than LMFC. The results are verified by SIMULINK simulation and experiments.

  • In recent years, research to machine large-surface micro-features has become important because of the light guide panel of a large-scale liquid crystal display and the bipolar plate of a high-capacity proton exchange membrane fuel cell. In this study, in order to realize the systematic design technology and performance improvements of an ultra-precision machine for machining the large-surface micro-features, a structural characteristic analysis was performed using its virtual prototype. The prototype consisted of gantry-type frame, hydrostatic feed mechanisms, linear motors, brushless DC servo motor, counterbalance mechanism, and so on. The loop stiffness was estimated from the relative displacement between the tool post and C-axis table, which was caused by a cutting force. Especially, the causes of structural stiffness deterioration were identified through the structural deformation analysis of sub-models.

  • In this paper, the characteristics of an arc-type linear pulse motor(ALPM) with permanent magnet are analysed using analytical and 2-D finite element method. To verify the analysing method. An ALPM which can be used as actuators of servo systems is designed and constructed. The stator of the ALPM has a permanent magnet and 4 pole exciters in order to provide a detent and thrust force. It's rotor radius is 70 mm and average torque of 60 $N{\cdot}cm$. The test results of the prototype ALPM have reasonably good agreement with those of analytic solutions.

  • With a rapid development in the area of micro and ultra precision technology, the micro surface machining of small size parts are explosively increased. Especially, to improve efficiency of various beams in lens and reflector, non-rotational symmetric form and several mm level heights changeable surface can be machined at a time. These geometric complex 3D surface cannot be machined by general short stroke FTS. The long stroke FTS if firmly needed to move directly several mm and have nm level positioning accuracy for the complex surface form. The long stroke FTS used linear motors to drive moving unit long and fine, aero static bearings to decrease friction and moving errors in guide way, optical linear scale with nm level resolution to measure position of FTS. Furthermore, to increase the performance of acceleration of FTS, the light material, such as AL is used for the structure and the high stiffness box type structure is selected. In this paper, the genetic algorithm approach is described to determine a set of design parameters for auto tuning. The authors have attempted to model the design problem with the objective of minimizing the error, such as variable pattern change. This method can give the better alternative than existing other method.

  • This paper deals with the development of the PMSM(Permanent magnet synchronous motor) system for the electrical actuator, For the high control performance and reliability of PMSM, accurate information of rotor position is essential. Most of PMSM for the position control use the encoder or resolver for the information of rotor position. But these are very expensive. So, in this paper, using of the magnetic and linear hall-effect sensor is proposed. It can reduce the cost of motor systems and get the good performance of PMSM control.

  • It is difficult to realize the complicate SUM which is applied vector control system, but widely used in AC motor vector motor control system or servo control system because of its high performance in current control. In this paper, we use the dynamic characteristic analyzing methode that can calculate efficiently the end effect by using equivalent circuit methode in the operating SLIM system modeling and doing simulation of output characteristics of vector controller.

  • The Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor(PMSM) drive systems with ball-screw, gear and timing-belt are widely used in industrial applications such as NC machine, machine tools, robots and factory automation. These systems have torsional vibration in torque transmission from servo motor to mechanical load due to the mechanical couplings. This vibration makes it difficult to achieve quick responses of speed and may result in damage to the mechanical plant. This paper presents adaptive notch filter with auto searching function of vibration frequency to reject the mechanical vibration of linear feeder system with PMSM. The proposed adaptive notch filter can suppress the torque command signal of PMSM in the resonant bandwidth for reject the mechanical torsional vibration. However, the resonant frequency can vary with conditions of mechanical load system and coupling devices, adaptive notch filter can auto search the vibration frequency and suppress the vibration signal bandwidth. Computer simulation and experimental results shows the verification of the proposed adaptive notch filter in linear feeder system with PMSM.
