HB형 선형 펄스모터의 추력 계산법의 비교 및 측정장치 설계 (Design of Measurement System and Thrust Force Analysis Method for HB-Type Linear Pulse Motor)

  • The linear motor available for linear transition motion, because of its advantages, the motor design and its application have gradually increased, but the quantitative measurement system of thrust force has not been generalized. So, this paper proposes the modeling, computation method, and measurement system of linear thrust force in HB-type linear pulse motor. As the computation method of thrust force in linear motor is presented and the measurement system is designed, and manufactured, it would be verified that reliability of measurement method and measurement system, considering on and comparing the results of mathematical modeling with measured values of static thrust force and dynamic one.

Generating 3-D Models of Human Motions by Motion Capture

  • A technique is presented for generating a compound human motion from its primitive motions obtained by a motion capture system. Some human fundamental motions are modeled in a 3-D way and registered as primitive motions. Because the factorization method is used for the motion capture, calibration of video cameras and connection of the motion in the direction of time is both unnecessary. Employing these motions, various compound human motions are generated by connecting the motions after having applied rotation and parallel transformation to them. Linear interpolation is done at the discontinuous boundary between primitive motions and smooth connection is achieved. Experimental results show satisfactory performance of the proposed technique. The technique may contribute to producing various complicated human motions without much effort using a strict motion capture system.

  • The non-linear torsional vibrations of the propulsion shafting system with viscous damper are considered. The motion is modeled by non-linear differential equations of second order. the equivalent system is modeled by two mass softening system with Duffing's oscillator. The steady state response of a equivalent system is analyzed for primary resonance only. Harmonic balance method as a non-linear vibration analysis technique is used. Jump phenomena are explained. The primary unstable region obtained by the Mathieu equation is investigated. Both theoretical and measured results of the propulsion shafting system are compared with and evaluated. As a result of comparisons with both data, it was confirmed that Duffing's oscillator can be used as a analysis method in the modeling of the propulsion shafting system attached viscous damper with non-linear stiffness.

  • With the development of precision manufacturing technologies, the importance of precision positioning devices is increasing. Conventional actuators, dual stage or mechanically contacting type, have limitation in coping with performance demands. As a possible solution, magnetic suspension technology was studied. Such a contact-free system has advantages in terms of high accuracy, low production cost and easy adaptability to high precision manufacturing processes. This paper deals with magnetically suspended multi-degrees of freedom actuator which can realize large linear motion. In this paper, the operating principle is explained with the magnetic force analysis, and the equations of motion are derived. Experimental results of the implemented system are also given.

  • 본 연구에서는 기반의 주기변위를 받는 주진동계에 비선형스프링과 선형 감쇠를 갖는 비선형동흡진기가 부착된 진동계의 운동방정식을 유도하여 조화바란스법 으로 지면에 대한 주진동계의 상대진폭의 진폭비를 산출하고 안정성해석을 하였으며, 비선형성의 영향과 스프링의 경.연성에 따르는 특성을 규명하였다.

Comparison of an ultrasonic distance sensing system and a wire draw distance encoder in motion monitoring of coupled structures

  • Coupled structures are widely seen in civil and mechanical engineering. In coupled structures, monitoring the translational motion of its key components is of great importance. For instance, some coupled arms are equipped with a hydraulic piston to provide the stiffness along the piston axial direction. The piston moves back and forth and a distance sensing system is necessary to make sure that the piston is within its stroke limit. The measured motion data also give us insight into how the coupled structure works and provides information for the design optimization. This paper develops two distance sensing systems for coupled structures. The first system measures distance with ultrasonic sensor. It consists of an ultrasonic sensing module, an Arduino interface board and a control computer. The system is then further upgraded to a three-sensor version, which can measure three different sets of distance data at the same time. The three modules are synchronized by the Arduino interface board as well as the self-developed software. Each ultrasonic sensor transmits high frequency ultrasonic waves from its transmitting unit and evaluates the echo received back by the receiving unit. From the measured time interval between sending the signal and receiving the echo, the distance to an object is determined. The second distance sensing system consists of a wire draw encoder, a data collection board and the control computer. Wire draw encoder is an electromechanical device to monitor linear motion by converting a central shaft rotation into electronic pulses of the encoder. Encoder can measure displacement, velocity and acceleration simultaneously and send the measured data to the control computer via the data acquisition board. From experimental results, it is concluded that both the ultrasonic and the wire draw encoder systems can obtain the linear motion of structures in real-time.

  • Linear and nonlinear motion responses of a Tension Leg Platform(TLP) was investigated by model tests. The model tests were carried out at KRISO's Ocean Engineering Basin which has a deep pit of which diameter and depth are 5 meters and 12.5 meters, respectively. Optical sensors were used for measuring drift motions, and a set of accelerometers were employed for analyzing wave frequency motions. ISSC TLP was chosen as the model for the present study. Scale ratio was 1/65 and elastic modelling of tether system were conducted. Very good agreement was obtained between experimental results and theoretical calculations not only in linear motion responses but tension responses, nonlinear wave drift force and double frequency excitations.

  • Many researches on the identification of a system have been carried out using a least square method, an adaptive filter, and so on. However, it is difficult to apply these methods in a nonlinear system. In the case of a nonlinear system, it is known that the signal compression method is able to estimate uncertain parameters of linear element in a nonlinear system because it is able to separate linear element and nonlinear element in a nonlinear system. However, the signal compression method cannot be applied to a motion simulator because actuators of the simulator is single-rod cylinders which includes expansion and compression dynamic properties. Therefore, this paper proposes a modified signal compression method which is able to estimate uncertain parameters of the motion simulator dynamics. The dynamic properties of this system are identified by separating expansion and compression properties when applying the signal compression method. And then, the identified parameters are applied to design a sliding mode controller for the simulator. The performance of the designed sliding mode controller is evaluated experimentally.

클린튜브 시스템의 웨이퍼 정지 제어 (Wafer Motion Control of a Clean Tube System)

  • This paper presents a force model of the clean tube system, which was developed as a means for transferring the air-floated wafers inside the closed tube filled with the super clean air. The recovering force from the holes for floating wafers is modeled as a linear spring and thus the wafer motion is modeled as a mass-spring-damper system. The propelling forces are modeled as linear along with the wafer location. The paper also proposes the control method to emit and stop a wafer at the center of a control unit. It shows the minimum value of the propelling force to leave from the control unit. In order to stop the wafer, it utilizes the exact time when a wafer arrives at the position to activate the propelling force. Experiments with the clean tube system built for 12 inch wafer shows the validity of the proposed model and the algorithm.

오차보정을 위한 초정밀 테이블의 5 자유도 운동오차 측정 (Measurement of 5 DOF Motion Errors in the Ultra Precision Feed Tables for Error Compensation)

  • In this paper, measuring system of 5 DOF motion errors are proposed using two capacitive type sensor, a straight edge and a laser interfoerometer. Yawing error and pitching error are measured using the laser interferometer, and rolling error is measured by the reversal method using a capacitive type sensor. Linear motion errors of horizontal and vertical direction are measured using the sequential two point method. In this case, influence of angular motion errors is compensated using the previously measured angular motion errors. In the horizontal direction, measuring accuracy is within 0.05 $\mu$m and 0.27 arcsec, and in the vertical direction, it is within 0.15 $\mu$m and 0.5 arcsec. From these results, it is confirmed that the proposed measureing system is very effective to the measurement of 5 DOF motion errors in the ultra precision feed tables.
