A Study on PLL Speed Control System of DC Servo Motor for Mobile Robot Drive (자립형 이동로봇 구동을 위한 직류 서보전동기 PLL 속도제어 시스템에 관한 연구)

  • The speed control associated with dc servo motors for direct-drive applications of mobile robot is considered in this study. Robot is moved by power wheeled steering of two dc servo motors mounted to it. In order to cooperate with micro-computer and to achieve the high-performance operation of dc servo motor, speed control system is composed of a digital Phase Locked Loop and H-type drive circuit. And the motor is driven by Pulse Width Modulations. In controlling PWM, it is modified to compose of H-type drive circuit with feedback diodes and switching transistor and design of control sequence so that it may show linear characteristics. As a result, speed characteristics of motor showed linear features. In order to get data on design of PLL control system, the parameters of 80[W[ motor & robot device is measured by simple software control. The PLL speed control system is schemed and designed by leaner drive circuit and measured parameters. A complete speed control system applied to 80[W] dc servo motor showed good linearity, stability and high response. Also, it is verified that the PLL speed control system has good compatibility as a mobile robot driver.

  • This paper describes the dual mode control of the LDM(Linear DC motor) for carrier. The dual mode control consists of seek and analogue control. In seek mode, LDM is moved in the shortest time by switching line, and in analogue mode keeps at origion with high accuracy. We proposed different switching line method according to driving direction.

  • This paper describes the precise position control of the linear DC motor for carrier. We analyze the switching line of seek mode control and propose the modified switching line according to the mass and distance. Experimental results demonstrate that good performance is achieved by the proposed controller.

  • This study presents a design methods for linear DC motor and the designed motor is analyzed. To design the linear DC motor, magnetic circuit design is introduced and characteristics of LDM is analyzed by using the voltage equation aid dynamic equation.   • Recently, the development of high speed and high precision NC-lathe for piston head machining is needed for the complexity and diversity of the piston head shape used in automobile reciprocating engine. THe piston head has many complex shapes in the aspect of fuel economy, such as ovality, profile, double ovality and recess. Among them, for the maching of the over shape of 0.1~1mm the cutting tool should move periodically symchronized with the rotation of piston workpiece. The cutting tool feeed system must have high positioning accuracy for the precise machining, high speed for the fast maching and high dynamic stiffness for the cutting force. The linear brushless DC motor is used for satisfying these coditions. The ballbush guide and supporting guide using turcite is used for the guidance of the feed drive system. Linear encoder, digital servo ampllifer and controller are used for driving the motor. THis paper presents the design and simulation of the new tool feed system for noncircular machining.

  • In the transverse flux linear induction motor(TFLIM) with the general secondary composed of conductor and back-yoke, there exists a magnetized force into the normal direction or the air-gap direction of the thrust motion as well as the thrust force. Therefore, the various methodologies have been tried to use the normal force by the two independent control variables of the multi-phase input. But, as the force depends inevitably and strongly on the thrust force, it is essential to decouple both forces for two control index. In this paper, we suggest a novel approach capable of compensating the couple between both forces and the control index by using the DC-biased multi-phase input, and then realizing the independent control of TFLIM.

  • This paper presents the system design of permanent magnet linear synchronous machine with double-side PM mover and slotless iron-cored stator in the required speed and thrust. in this paper, the design of manufacturing motor is optimized by characteristics of motor parameters with the variation of PM size and coil turns. And, the permissible operating range of manufactured motor by determination of base speed and base thrust according to switching scheme of DC link voltage are offered. Finally, the results of analytical solutions are verificated by finite element analysis and experiment.
