  • This paper introduces an Interactive Feature Extraction (!FE) approach for the registration of satellite imagery by matching extracted point and line features. !FE method contains both point extraction by cross-correlation matching of singular points and line extraction by Hough transform. The purpose of this study is to minimize user's intervention in feature extraction and easily apply the extracted features for image registration. Experiments with these imagery dataset proved the feasibility and the efficiency of the suggested method.

  • A mixed model assembly line (MMAL) is a special type of production line where a variety of product models similar in product characteristics are assembled. Determining the model sequence is an important problem for the efficient use of MMALs. This paper considers interactive multiobjective decision making problems for MMAL sequencing. Evolution program is employed as an underlying framework. In this study, a way of approximating the linear utility function is first studied. To improve its search efficiency to the solution space preferred by a decision maker, some modifications of a standard evolution program are made: operating several subpopulations instead of a single population and merging two or more subpopulations to a single subpopulation, and using a Pareto pool. Extensive computational experiments are carried out to verify the performance of the proposed approach. The computational results show that our approach is promising in solution quality.

  • This paper describes the development of a three-phase Line-Interactive DVR(Dynamic Voltage Restorer), which is applied to Hybrid detection method and super-capacitor. The operational feasibility was verified through computer simulations with PSCAD/EMTDC software, and experimental will be work with 3kVA prototype. The developed system can compensates the input voltage sag and interruption within 2ms, in which the maximum allowable sensitive load, such as computer, communication equipment, automation equipment, and medical equipment. The developed system has a simple structure to be easily implemented with commercially available components and to be highly reliable in operation.

  • This paper describes the development of a high-performance single-phase line-interactive Dynamic voltage Restorer, which is composed of an H-bridge inverter and super-capacitors. The operational feasibility was verified through computer simulations with PSCAD/EMTDC software, and experimental works with 3kVA prototype. The developed system can compensates the input voltage sag and interruption within 2ms, in which the maximum allowable duration of voltage interruption is 1.5 seconds. The developed system has a simple structure to be easily implemented with commercially available components and to be highly reliable in operation.

  • In this paper, a new line-commutated SCR inverter for renewable power generation system is proposed. The proposed inverter system includes a 6-pulse SCR inverter and an auxiliary circuit. By the proper operation of the auxiliary circuit, the pulse number of the inverter system is increased and the output voltages and currents harmonics are significantly reduced. Analysis, control and simulation for 24-pulse operation of the proposed scheme is Presented and the experimental results from a laboratory Prototype verify the proposed theory.

  • In this paper, we present a robot off-Line programming system with collision detection. The collision detection is a very important factor of robot oft-line programming system for collision avoidance, path planning, and so on. The System developed in this paper, basically using an algorithm for the minimum distance calculation between general polyhedra. The proposed system shows an exact and interactive result in static and dynamic environments.

An Efficient Scheme to write a Transmission Schedule using Convergence after Interactive Operations in a Stored Video (대화형 연산 후 수렴을 이용한 저장된 비디오의 효율적인 전송 스케줄 작성 방안)

  • In a video-on-Demand(VOD) service, a server has to return to he normal playback quickly at a certain new frame position after interactive operations such as jump or last playback. In this paper, we propose an efficient scheme to write a transmission schedule for a playback restart of a video stream at a new frame position after interactive operations. The proposed scheme is based on convergence characteristics, that is transmission schedules with different playback startup frame position in a video stream meet each other at some frame position. The scheme applies a bandwidth smoothing from a new frame position to a convergence position without considering all remaining frames of a video stream. And then the scheme transmits video dta according to the new schedule from the new frame position to the convergence position, and then transmits the remaining video data according to the reference schedule from the convergence position, and then transmits the remaining video data according to the reference schedule from the convergence position to the last frame position. In this paper, we showed that there existed the convergence position corresponding to nay frame position in a video stream through many experiments based on MPEG-1 bit trace data. With the convergence we reduced the computational overhead of a bandwidth smoothing, which was applied to find a new transmission schedule after interactive operations. Also, storage overhead is greatly reduced by storing pre-calculated schedule information up to the convergence position for each I frame position of a video stream with video data off-line. By saving information on a transmission schedule off-line along with the video data and searching the schedule corresponding to the specified restarting frame position, we expect the possibility of normal playback of a video stream with small tolerable playback startup delay.

  • Recently, the interest on power quality has been hot issue. The equipments cause voltage disturbance and has become more sensitive to the voltage disturbance. This paper deals with 5-Level H-Bridge Line-Inter active Dynamic Voltage Restorer(LIDVR) system. The LIDVR has following advantages in comparison with the DVR with series injection transformer It has the power factor near to unity under normal source voltage, can compensate the harmonic current of the load and the instant interruption, and has the fast response. First, the construction, the operation mode and algebraic modeling of LIDVR are reviewed. And then a voltage controller is proposed to get sinusoidal load voltage with constant amplitude. To find PWM method suitable for H-Bridge converter, two PWM methods are compared and analyzed. Finally, simulation results verify the proposed 5-level H-Bridge LIDVR system.

  • This paper is an analysis of the domestic game users preference for physical interactive game consol-Nintendo Wii. The on-line game is the biggest share in korean game market and the 20's is the laregest generation in domestic game users. We conducted the surveys and group discussion to find out how the 20's game users prefer the new console and new type games. I hope the result of survey will assist the development of new game console and new game type.
