카메라를 이용한 리모컨 외관검사 자동화 시스템 구현 (Automatic Visual Inspection System of Remocon using Camera)

  • The visual inspection method that depends on human's eyes has some problem that a lot of variations happen in examination according to bodily, spiritual state of the checker. We automate remocon inspection process using CCD camera. Our developed inspection system can be used in any remocon production line without the user's big handling. Our inspection system was developed using PC, CCD Camera, Visual C++ for universal work place. The accuracy of proposed system was improved about 3.2[%] than the conventional pattern matching method and the processing time was decreased about 119[ms]. Also we showed that our inspection system is more robust to lighting circumstances.

  • The pattern recognition of automobile and parking line for the automatic car parking system was processed based on statistical method for reducing the processing time. The command of driving for parking at the vacant parking lot was transmitted from processor to motor driven actuator using direct sequence spread spectrum communication, which enables the multiple transmission in CAN(controller area network). The test-bed which has CCD camera, processor, radio transceiver and FPGA was implemented and demonstrated to be operated well.

  • To study kinematics of solar prominences, we have made Ha spectrographic study of an eruptive prominence which appeared on the 27th of August, 1992 with a position angle of 270 deg. The observation was carried out by a Littrow type spectrograph and a G1 CCD camera attached to the 25cm coronagraph at Norikura Coronal Station. In taking the spectral data the slit was placed in parallel to the solar limb at 7 different heights, each being separated by 5 arcsec with a time step of 30 sec. The observed eruptive prominence shows a wide range of line of sight Doppler velocity, spanning from $V_{dopp}=-17.5km/s\;to\;V_{dopp}=58.2km/s$. It is also found that the velocity increases with height at the rate of ${\Delta}V= 0.86 km/s/arcsec$.

METALLICITY OF GLOBULAR CLUSTER M13 FROM VI CCD PHOTOMETRY

  • From the VI images of M13, obtained by using 2K CCD camera and the BOAO 1.8m telescope, we derive the(V - I) - V CMD of M13. From the shapes of red giant branch, the magnitude of horizontal branch, and the giant branch bump on the constructed CMD, we determined the metallicity of the globular cluster to be 1.74${\lesssim}$[Fe/H]${\lesssim}$-1.41. The good agreement between our determination of [Fe/H] and those determined by using other methods implies that the morphology of red giant and horizontal branches on (V - I) - V CMD's can be good indirect metallicity indicators of Galactic globular clusters.

  • 최근에 광학을 기초로 한 산업계에서 중요시 되는 문제는 촛점을 자동으로 맞추는 문제다. 대부분 오토콜리케터(autocollimater)를 사용하여 수동으로 사람이 그 초점을 판별하여 맞추는 것이 현실이다. 하지만 산업계에서 이러한 작업을 필요로 하는 부분이 급성장하고 있으며 대량생산을 위해서는 자동화가 필수적으로 되어가고 있다. 특히 카메라 렌즈의 경우 최근 자동카메라의 급수요현상으로 조립시 카메라의 촛점을 맞추는 작업은 가장 기본적이고 정교한 작업이 되고 있다. 초점을 맞추는 것은 렌즈의 절대좌표를 지정하는 것으로 렌즈의 구동은 이 점을 기준으로 움직이게 된다. 본 논문에서는 초첨을 자동으로 맞추기 위한 작업으로 MTF(modulation transfer function)의 방법을 사용하였다. 일반적인 방법은 CCD(charge coupled device)를 사용하여 빛의 조도의 값을 비교하여 최대값이 나올때를 기준으로 하였으나, 모든 픽셀에 대한 계산을 행해야 하므로 시간이 오래 걸리게 되고 광원의 변화에 따라 민감하게 변화하는 단점을 가지고 있다. 그러나 MTF를 사용하면 아주 간단한 장치를 사용하고, 신호의 처리를 용이하게 하여 초첨의 거리를 쉽게 판단할 수 있다는 장점을 가지고 있다.

A Method for Measurement of Limiting Intrinsic Non-Uniformity Due to Process in CCD-Multiplexers for Focal Plane Arrays

  • We present a simple experimental method for determination of limiting intrinsic fixed-pattern non-uniformity (NU) due to fabrication process in two-dimensional CCD multiplexers (MUXs) that are used for hybrid focal plane arrays. Here, this is done by determining separately the two NUs viz. that are $V_T$ dependent and $V_T$ independent. From these measurements, process dependent NU can be extracted. It is argued that $V_T$ dependent NU can be eliminated by designing novel input circuits whereas $V_T$ independent NU, primarily, dependent on process control and material variations may be reduced but cannot be eliminated completely and hence limits the FPA performance eventually.

선삭에서 컴퓨터비젼을 이용한 플랭크 마모 측정에 관한 연구 (A study on the measurement of flank wear by computer vision in turning)

  • A new digital image processing method for measuring of the flank wear of cutting tool is presented. The method is based on computer vision technology in which the tool is illuminated by two halogen lamps and the wear zone is visualized using a CCD camera. The image is converted into digital pixel and processed to detect the wearland width. As a conclusion, it has been proved that the average wearland area and mzximum peak values of the flank wear width can monitored effectively to a measuring resolution of 0.01mm.

  • The welding automation in ship manufacturing process,especially in the sub-assembly line is considered to be a difficult job because the welding part is too huge, various, unstructured for a welding robot to weld fully automatically. The weld orocess at the sub-assembly line for ship manufacturing is to joint the various stiffener on the base panel. In order to realize automatic robot weld in sub-assembly line, robot have to equip with the sensing system to recognize the position of the parts. In this research,we developed a vision system to detect the position of base panle for sub-assembly line is shipbuilding process. The vision system is composed of one CCD camera attached on the base of robot, 2-500W halogen lamps for active illumination. In the image processing algorithm,the base panel is represented by two set of lines located at its two corner through hough transform. However, the various noise line caused by highlight,scratches and stiffener,roller in conveyor, and so on is contained in the captured image, this nosie can be eliminated by region segmentation and threshold in hough transform domain. The matching process to recognize the position of weld panel is executed by finding patterns in the Hough transformed domain. The sets of experiments performed in the sub-assembly line show the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm.

다목적실용위성 3호 Overlap 영역의 특성분석 (Characterizing Overlap Area of KOMPSAT-3)

  • 다목적실용위성 3호는 고해상도 0.7m 흑백영상을 촬영할 수 있는 PAN 카메라와 2.8m 다중파장대의 칼라 영상을 수집할 수 있는 멀티스펙터럴 카메라를 탑재하고 있다. 이를 통하여 취득한 위성영상은 국토관리, 농업, 환경, 해양감시 및 GIS등의 광범위한 분야에 활용될 예정이다. 다목적실용위성3호의 15km의 관측폭을 가지는 영상을 생성하기 위해, 각 detector의 양 끝단의 20 pixel을 제외하고 24,020 픽셀로 구성된다. 이러한 크기의 CCD를 하나의 CCD로 구성하는 것은 매우 어렵기 때문에 다목적실용위성 3호는 12,080 픽셀로 구성된 두 detector로 구성되며, 따라서 두 detector의 기하학적 특성이 각기 다른 특징을 가지게 된다. 본 연구에서는 다목적실용위성3호의 한 밴드내의 기하학적 특성을 분석하기 위한 시뮬레이션 영상의 생성과정을 서술하고자 한다.
