  • A line profile synthesis method is presented that minimizes the nearest-neighbor crosstalk peak level for high-speed pulse transmission in multi-coupled microstrip signal buses. We adopted the optimization technique for the reflected wave control on bus lines resulting in increasing the average spacing between strip conductors, since in a parallel-conductor bus the crosstalk energy is concentrated at the nearest neighbors of the driven line. The generalized S-matrix technique is applied for the input and output waveform prediction, and crosstalk characteristics of various nonuniform lines synthesized for increasing the average spacing are analyzed by comparing each other. Simulation results demonstrate that the Chebyshev taper with dips is adequate to significantly minimize the crosstalk peak level under the satisfactory waveform integrity since the profile is oriented to evenly reflect significant pulse spectra within the frequency range of pulse.

  • This paper discusses the effects of ECC (Earth Continuity Conductor) for reducing the level of induced sheath overvoltages at the single point bonded section of combined transmission lines which are mixed underground power cable with overhead line in one T/L. In previous papers, the characteristics of ECC on only underground power cable systems were sufficiently analyzed. However, the result of only underground power cable systems are totally different from that of combined transmission lines because ECC is commonly grounded with overhead grounding wire at mesh of cable head. Therefore, in this paper, the installation effects of ECC have been variously analyzed considering the three kinds of fault positions, cable formation of duct and trefoil, spacing between phase conductor and ECC, and the change of overhead transmission line section length on 154kV combined transmission line. Finally, simulation results show that ECC can effectively reduce the induced sheath voltage.

  • Stereolithography is the technique using a laser beam to cure a liquid resin, a photopolymer, with three dimensional computer-aided design (CAD) data. The build parameters of stereolithography such as beam size, scan velocity. hatch spacing, layer thickness and etc. are determined by the accuracy of prototype, the build time and the cured properties of the resin. In particular, beam size is important processing parameter fur the other parameters. Therefore, this study observed the cured property to beam size. For this purpose, according to hatch spacing and beam size, the cure width and depth were measured on single cured line. Also, the cure width and depth were measured at single cured layer As a result of experiments. cure depth which varied from 0.23mm to 0.34mm was directly proportioned to beam radius. on the other hand, cure width which varied from 0.42mm to 1.07mm was inversely proportioned to beam radius. Surface roughness varied from 1.12 to 2.23 m for the ratio of hatch spacing to beam radius.

  • Being the concrete track laid on bridge, due to track-bridge temperature difference, traction and brake force, and nosing force, the horizontal force can be applied to the track slab. Therefore, shear key structures to resist this horizontal force should be installed. The shear key structures installed in the Kyeong-Bu high-speed line are consisted of four shear keys at every slab with the length of 6 to 8m. However, in the point of view of construction, it is more advantageous to curtail the numbers of shear keys, and thus, the numbers and spacing of the shear keys should be carefully determined. In this study, hence, the effects of slab length, the numbers and spacing of the shear keys on design of shear key and track slab are examined.

  • In this paper, two 4$\times$4 rectangular patch array antennas operating at 20 GHz are implemented for the satellite communication. The sixteen patch antennas and microstrip feeding line are printed on a single-layered substrate. The design goal is to achieve high directivity and gain by optimizing design parameters through permutations in element spacing. The spacing between the array elements is chosen to be 0.736$\lambda$. Numerical simulation results indicate that the HPBW(Half-Power Beam Width) of the 4$\times$4 patch array antenna is 18.78 degrees in the E-plane and 18.48 degrees in the H-plane with a gain of 17.18 dBi. Numerical simulations of a 4$\times$4 recessed patch array antenna yield a HPBW of 18.71 degrees in the E-plane and 17.82 degrees in the H-plane with a gain of 19.43 dBi.

  • LEFC(Light Emotion Friendly Conceret) was developed in Korea with demands of esthentic requirements in line with the recent developmental trend of concrete technology. The LEFC is made by inserting transparent transparent rods, and this forms a heterogeneous structure in the concrete matrix causing the LEFC substrate to crack due low adhesion between the rod and the cement. In this study, as a way to strengthen the bonding to the rod inserted in the LEFC, high strength vinylon fibers of varying mixture ratios were applied and physical properties were tested accordingly. To study the effect of different spacing of the bars on the LEFC, physical property testing was conducted on respective specimens with two different diameters (5mm, 10mm) inserted in different intervals of spacing (10mm, 15mm, and 20mm).

  • The present work investigates the behavior of the embankment models resting on soft soil reinforced with ordinary and stone columns encased with geogrid. Model tests were performed with different spacing distances between stone columns and two lengths to diameter ratios (L/d) of the stone columns, in addition to different embankment heights. A total number of 42 model tests were carried out on a soil with undrianed shear strength $${\sim_\sim}10kPa$$. The models consist of stone columns embankment at s/d equal to 2.5, 3 and 4 with L/d ratio equal 5 and 8. Three embankment heights; 200 mm, 250 mm and 300 mm were tested for both tests of ordinary (OSC) and geogrid encased stone columns (ESC). Three earth pressure cells were used to measure directly the vertical effective stress on column at the top of the middle stone column under the center line of embankment and on the edge stone column for all models while the third cell was placed at the base of embankment between two columns to measure the vertical effective stress in soft soil directly. The performance of stone columns embankments relies upon the ability of the granular embankment material to arch over the 'gaps' between the stone columns spacing. The results showed that the ratio of the embankment height to the clear spacing between columns (h/s-d) is a key parameter. It is found that (h/s-d)<1.2 and 1.4 for OSC and ESC, respectively; (h is the embankment height, s is the spacing between columns and d is the diameter of stone columns), no effect of arching is pronounced, the settlement at the surface of the embankment is very large, and the stress acting on the subsoil is virtually unmodified from the nominal overburden stress. When $(h/s-d){\geq}2.2$ for OSC and ESC respectively, full arching will occur and minimum stress on subsoil between stone columns will act, so the range of critical embankment height will be 1.2 (h/sd) to 2.2 (h/s-d) for both OSC and ESC models.

  • In this paper, the MIMO(Multi-Input Multi-Output) channel characteristics for Rx antenna spacing are described in the real environment, which has LOS(Ling of Sight) and NLOS (Won-Line of Sight). We developed $2\times2$ MIMO channel measurement system at 2.3GHz Wibro Band. MIMO antenna evaluation parameters such as received power, channel capacity and spatial correlation are evaluated for standard dipole antenna with 0.25, 0.5, 0.75 and 1.0 wavelength spacing at 2-position for LOS and 4-position for NLOS. The spatial correlation is distributed more than 0.9 in most LOS case which might be intricate to operate MIMO communication. MIMO antenna design need to be focused on getting spatial diversity and reducing spatial correlation in LOS case.

  • Clothing shape is principally described in seven factors that are composed of clothing design, clothing material, clothing size, pattern design, sewing method and body motion etc.. The aims of this study was to measurement out-line space-shape variation of clothing fitness with somato type by using the image processing. The subjects for direct anthropometric measurements were 248 female college students aged from 19 to 22. The data were statistically analyzed by principal analysis and cluster analysis. The results were obtained three somato type. Also I made skirts in order to analyzed to the out-line space-shape variation of clothing fitness with body. The effect of somato type on the shape of flare skirts was determined by the out-line space-shape variation of clothing fitness with body. The out-line space-shape variation of clothing fitness with body was observed between the node number and amplitudes of clothing wave form and node number was determined at the maxim of space-shape amplitude, and the space-shape amplitudes have related with aspect ratio of cross-sectional shape. Results for flare skirts show changes in amplitude and mean with fabrics, somato type. therefore gray-level histogram are correlated with changes out-line space-shape, differences in drape spacing and related fabric properties and their somato type. • We mapped the $^{13}CO$ line in the dark nebula L134 using the 14-m Taeduck radio telescope with a 57 arcsec beam and one beam spacing. The cloud has a spherical shape with an intensity peak ridge extended from the northwest to the southeast directions. The halfwidth and the radial velocity of the lines peak at the region of the cloud center. The radial velocity decreases from the cloud center towards the north and south directions. The integrated line intensity distributions in the space-velocity plane show some structure and a velocity gradient. The $^{13}CO$ and $H_2CO$ clouds and dark clouds are closely related in space in shape, outer boundary, and intensity peak positions. The $^{13}CO$ integrated line intensity is linearly proportional to the visual extinction.
