Color Line Scan Camera를 위한 고속 신호처리 하드웨어 시스템 구현 (Implementation of the high speed signal processing hardware system for Color Line Scan Camera)

  • 본 논문에서는 FPGA와 Nor-Flash를 사용하여 컬러 라인 스캔 카메라를 위한 고속 신호처리 하드웨어 시스템을 구현하였다. 기존의 시스템에서는 소프트웨어를 기반으로 한 고속 DSP가 적용되어 왔고 주로 RGB 개별 논리에 의해 결함을 검출하는 방법이었지만 본 논문에서는 RGB-HSL 변환기, FIFO, HSL 풀-컬러 결함 디코더 및 이미지 프레임 버퍼로 구성된 하드웨어 기반의 결함 검출기를 제안하였다. 결함 검출기는 RGB에서 HSL로의 색상 공간 변환을 위한 하드웨어 기반 룩업테이블과 4K HSL 풀-컬러 결함 디코더로 구성되어 있다. 또한 단일 라인 데이터 기반의 로컬 픽셀 처리 대신 2차원 배열 구조의 이미지 단위 처리를 위해 라인 데이터 축적용 이미지 프레임을 포함한다. 설계된 시스템을 기존의 곡물 선별기에 적용하여 땅콩을 대상으로 선별해 본 결과 효과적임을 알 수 있었다.

  • Line scan camera has been widely used in the area of inspection of glass, film, fabric, iron, PCB and etc. due to the high resolution and the high speed. We developed the line scan based vision system to inspect tangled and cut-off status of yarn in the manufacturing process. The original image is binarized with a proper threshold, and the gap distances in the yarn are measured in real time, so finally the status of the process is decided by the maximum value of the gap distance. All procedures are executed in real time by realization of multi-processed threads. By implementation of this system, the error of the yarn in manufacturing process can be precedently monitored and the loss of the yarn is decreased efficiently.

  • TFT-LCD 자동 검사 시스템에서 결함 검출을 위한 영상은 라인 스캔 카메라(line scan camera)나 에어리어 스캔 카메라 (area scan camera)에 의해서 획득하게 된다. 그러나 임펄스 잡음과 가우시안 잡음, CCD 혹은 CMOS 센서의 한계, 조명등의 영향으로 열화된 영상이 획득되며, 한도성 결함 영역을 인간의 육안으로 구분하기 어렵게 된다. 본 논문에서는 효율적인 결함 검출을 위해 특징 추출 방법과 결함 검출 방법을 제안한다. 특징 벡터로 웨버의 법칙을 이용한 결함 영역과 주변 배경 영역의 평균 밝기 차와 주변 배경 영역의 밝기 변화를 이용한 표준편차를 이용하며, 결함 영역 검출를 위해 추출된 특징 벡터를 이용하여 비선형 SVM을 적용한다. 실험 결과는 제안한 방법이 다른 방법들 보다 성능이 우수함을 보여준다.

  • In this study, the performance of a DPRMs is evaluated and the measurement precision for the pile driving is presented. The DPRMs is a visual-measurement system for the pile rebound and the penetration movement using a high speed line-scan camera. The DPRMs generates the measurement deviation. It is caused by the strong impact for the pile driving. To reduce it, the vibration signal analysis about the pile driving is performed. As a result, it is confirmed that the tilting frequency of a camera-tripod structure corresponding to excitation frequency range of the ground is under 40Hz. Through the structure modification, the camera-tripod structure is redesigned to the model being free itself from the excitation frequency range of the ground. By the verification testing about the improvement effects, it is inspected that the tilting and measurement deviation of the redesigned DPRMs are reduced.

  • This paper presents the algorithm of FIC inspection in chip mounter. When device is mounted on the PCB, it is impossible to get zero defects since there are many problems which can not be predicted. Of these problems, devices with bent corner leads due to mis-handling and which are not placed at a given point measured along the axis are principal problem in SMT(Surface Mounting Technology). In this paper, we proposed a new algorithm based on the Radon transform which uses a projection to inspect the FIC(Flat Integrated Circuit) device and compared this method with other algorithms. We measured the position error and applied this algorithm to our image processing board which is characterized by line scan camera. We compared speed and accuracy in our board.

But the measurement errors of the DPRMs are caused by the strong impact for the pile driving. Therefore, the DPRMs should guarantee its measurement values for the pile driving. For this reason, the performance of the DPRMs by the vibration signal analysis is studied. It is found from this study that the measurement values of the DPRMs are reliable.

  • This paper describes the structure, operation, image processing, and decision making techniques of a color machine vision system designed for the automatic sorting of soybeans. The system consists of feeder, conveyor belt, line-scan camera, lights. ejector, and a PC Unlike manufactured goods, agricultural products including soybeans have quite uneven features. The criteria for sorting good and bad beans also vary depending on inspectors. We tackle these problem by letting the system learn the inspecting parameters from good samples selected manually by a machine user before running the system for sorting. Real-time processing has another importance In the design. Four parallel DSPs are employed to increase the processing speed. When the designed system was tested with real soybeans and the result was successful.

Determination of Epipolar Geometry for High Resolution Satellite Images

  • The geometry of satellite image captured by linear pushbroom scanner is different from that of frame camera image. Since the exterior orientation parameters for satellite image will vary scan line by scan line, the epipolar geometry of satellite image differs from that of frame camera image. As we know, 2D affine orientation for the epipolar image of linear pushbroom scanners system are well-established by using the collinearity equation (Testsu Ono, 1999). Also, another epipolar geometry of linear pushbroom scanner system is recently established by Habib(2002). He reported that the epipolar geometry of linear push broom satellite image is realized by parallel projection based on 2D affine models. Here, in this paper, we compared the Ono's method with Habib's method. In addition, we proposed a method that generates epipolar resampled images. For the experiment, IKONOS stereo images were used in generating epipolar images.

  • The purpose of this paper is the development of measurement algorithm for green-sheet based on the digital image processing technique. The Low Temperature Co-fired Ceramic(LTCC) technology can be employed to produce multilayer circuits with the help of single tapes, which are used to apply conductive, dielectric and/or resistive pastes on. These single green-sheets must be laminated together and fired at the same time. Main function of the green-sheet film measurement algorithm is to measure the position and size of the punching hole in each single layer. The line scan camera coupled with motorized X-Y stage is used. In order to measure the entire film area using several scanning steps, an overlapping method is used.

  • In this paper, we propose a web inspection system (WIS) for real-time detection of paper defects which can cause critical fractures during papermaking process. Our system incorporates high speed line-scan camera, lighting system, and detection algorithm to provide robust and precise detection of paper defects in real-time. Since edge defects are very crucial to the paper fractures, our system focuses on the edge region of the paper instead of inspecting the whole paper area. In our algorithm, image projection and sub-pixel operation are utilized to detect the edge defects precisely and connected component labeling and shape analysis techniques are adopted to extract various kinds of the region defects. Experimental results revealed that our web inspection system is very efficient for detecting paper defects during papermaking processes.
