Response Characteristics of Metal Belt CVT Vehicle with Electronic Controlled Line Pressure (라인압력제어 전자화 CVT 차량의 응답 특성)

  • An electronic-hydraulic controlled line pressure system was suggested based on the mechanical controlled CVT base model. As a high level control strategy, a 3-D optimal line pressure map was obtained considering the driver's desire, driving conditions. Also, PID type low level controller was designed. Using the high level control strategy and the dynamic models of the base model CVT with electronic controlled line pressure system, performance simulations were carried out. It is seen from the simulation results that fuel economy of the electronic controlled strategy keeps the line pressure low, which results in the improved efficiency of the hydraulic system.

  • In this paper, the control strategy of ratio changing system for a metal belt CVT adopting primary pressure regulation is developed, and the shirting performance of pressure regulating type CVT with the suggested control strategy is investigated. The control strategy suggested in this study is composed of 2 feedback loop, one is speed ratio feedback and the other is primary pressure feedback. The pressure feedback is adopted to ensure prohibiting a belt slip during transient period in a fast downshift mode. Simulation results show that the system with suggested control strategy gives appropriate response time and tracking Performance for upshift and also gives a proper primary pressure which can prohibit the belt slip. In addition, it is fecund that the given system has an acceptable servo property in tracking the target speed ratio and robustness for the disturbance of line pressure.

  • This parer presents a CVT line pressure control strategy for the increased shift speed. Firstly, an algorithm to increase the CVT shift speed is suggested based on a modified CVT shift dynamics and shift speed maps are constructed. In addition, simplified dynamic models of the line pressure and the ratio control valve are derived by considering the CVT shift dynamics, and low level control algorithms for the ratio and the line pressure control are proposed. Using the shift speed maps and the simplified dynamic models of the CVT system, shift performance is investigated. It is found from the experimental and simulation results that improved shift speed can be achieved by increasing the lilly pressure.

  • This study focuses on the optimal operation and control strategy of the fuel cell process. The control objective of the Phosphoric Acid Fuel Cell (PAFC) is established and dynamic modeling equations of the entire fuel cell process are formulated as discrete-time type. On-line optimal control of the MIMO system employs the direct decomposition-coordination method. The objective function is modified as the tracking form to enhance the response capability to the load change. The weight factor matrices Q,R, which are design parameters, are readjusted. This control system is compared with LQI method and the results show that the suggested method is better than the traditional method in pressure difference control.

  • The proportional pressure control valve that was used to relief valve has different dynamic characteristics on each case. Because this valve has different assembling or processing error and environmental condition. However, a customer who used the relief valve wants to have a steadily performance even if the dynamic characteristics of valve was changed. For this reason, the manufacturer try to make the robust controller that has simple structure. This paper concerns about the design of robust controller that didn't affected by plant parameter's changing. The control strategy is a model reference control that conducted by on line identification problem, gradient method and Lyapunov equation. This adaptvie control law's validity that this paper deal with was confirmed by an results of step response test or hysteresis test.
