EXHAUST GAS HEAT RECOVERY SYSTEM FOR PLANT BED HEATING IN GREENHOUSE PRODUCTION

  • Hot air heater with light oil combustion is the most common heater for greenhouse heating in the winter season in Korea. However, since the heat efficiency of the heater is about 80%, considerable unused heat in the form of exhaust gas heat discharges to atmosphere. In order to capture this exhaust gas heat a heat recovery system for plant bed heating in the greenhouse was built and tested in the hot air heating system of greenhouse. The system consists of a heat exchanger made of copper pipes, ${\phi}\;12.7{\times}0.7t$ located inside the rectangular column of $330{\times}330{\times}900mm$, a water circulation pump, circulation plastic pipe and a water tame The total heat exchanger area is $1.5m^2$, calculated considering the heat exchange amount between flue gas and water circulated in the copper pipes. The system was attached to the exhaust gas path. The heat recovery system was designed as to even recapture the latent heat of flue gas when exposing to low temperature water in the heat exchanger. According to performance test it can recover 45,200 to 51,000kJ/hr depending on the water circulation rates of 330 to $690{\ell}$/hr from the waste heat discharged. The exhaust gas temperature left from the heat exchanger dropped to $100^{circ}C$ from $270^{circ}C$ by the heat exchange between the water and the flue gas, while water gained the difference and temperature increased to $38^{circ}C$ from $21^{circ}C$ at the water flow rate of $690{\ell}$/hr. And, the condensed water amount varies from 16 to $43m{\ell}$ at the same water circulation rates. This condensing heat recovery system can reduce boiler fuel consumption amount in a day by 34% according to the feasibility study of the actual mimitomato greenhouse. No combustion load was observed in the hot air heater.

  • Fine microgroove is the key component to fabricate micro-grating, micro-grating lens and so on. Conventional groove fabrication methods such as etching and lithography have some problems in efficiency and surface integrity. This study deals with the creation of ultra-precision micro grooves using non-rotational diamond tool and CNC machining center. The shaping type machining method proposed in the study allows to produce V-shaped grooves of $40\mu{m}$ in depth with enough dimensional accuracy and surface. For the analysis of machining characteristics in micro V-grooving, three components of cutting forces and AE signal are measured and processed. Experimental results showed that large amplitude of cutting forces and AE appeared at the beginning of every cutting path, and cutting forces had a linear relation with the cross-sectional area of uncut chip thickness. From the results of this study, proposed micro V-grooving technique could be successfully applied to forming the precise optical parts like prism patterns on light guide panel of TFT-LCD.

시대적 변화에서 나타난 백남준과 그의 모순 (Nam June Paik and His Self-contradictions)

  • 20세기 미술사에 있어서 미술의 새로운 장르로 평가되는 비디오 아트의 창시자 백남준은 미래를 내다보는 혜안을 가진 예언자이며 인류 문화사에 새로운 획을 그은 위대한 예술가이다. 백남준 예술에 관한 연구는 현대 미술의 주요 담론들과 쟁점들에 거의 다 닿아 있다고 해도 과언이 아니다. 하지만 그 연구 결과물들을 살펴보면 비디오 아트의 창시자라는 영광스러운 타이틀에 가려져 그의 사상적 흐름의 변천이라든가 또 그가 진정으로 고민해왔을 자기모순들에 대한 연구는 상대적으로 미흡하다고 볼 수 있다. 사실 백남준은 아방가르드(avant-garde) 예술가이면서 제도권 예술가이고 포스트 모더니스트이면서 모더니스트일 뿐 아니라 반예술과 체제순응적 예술, 고급 예술과 대중문화 등을 논함에 있어 그 접점에 놓여있는 예술가라 할 수 있다. 이 논문에서는 반예술로 출발한 플럭서스(Fluxus) 아방가르드 예술가로서 선봉적 역할을 해 오다가 작업의 규모나 형식이 발전함에 따라 체제순응적으로 변해가는 백남준 예술의 변천 과정을 따라가 보고 백남준 예술에 대한 기존 연구들의 한계점을 고찰해 보려고 한다. 하지만 이 연구는 그의 예술에 대한 무조건적인 비판이나 반대 이론을 제기함이 아니라 그의 탁월한 이상과 업적에 가려졌던 백남준 예술철학의 자기 모순적 변천과정에 대한 고찰과 기존의 백남준 연구에 있어서 미흡했던 부분들을 살펴봄으로서 백남준 예술의 업적을 새로운 비판적 시점에서 다시 한 번 되짚어 보는데 그 의미가 있다고 할 수 있다.

카페공간에서 방문의도성과 대상체의 유무에 따른 관심영역 분석 (An Analyzed the Area of Interest based on the Visiting Intention and Existence of People in Cafe Space)

  • To determine "how humans move in space, what they want, and through which visual information they act and choose," this study aims to define in which sense space is preferred in gaze. The ultimate goal is to extract data of human visual awareness and preference in space. This study analyzed the observation characteristics perceived through observation frequency and time depending on the purpose cafe customers to understand what intension of visiting the space has on the observation characteristics which are the results obtained as information through visual perception. This research methods are as follows. First, the areas of preference in $caf{\acute{e}}$ space gazed by visual concentration are analyzed by divided into 12 by 12 grid A and B images separated depends on existence of people. Second, eye-tracking visual path in conscious gaze is analyzed to examine. Third, though the higher section frequency is likely to have more observation time, the interest area of I(3sec/180), II(6sec/360) and III(9sec/540) had higher frequency of Intention. The followings are the results of this study. First, the time range for searching or wandering and the observation characteristics could be estimated by the meaning of observation time by grade with the time-range out of the distribution of sections. Second, at the time distribution by section, when there was intention, the observation time was found to have higher occupation. In conclusion, this study is to determine the correlation of human concentration gazing at space images. It is an exploratory research on research methodologies, and aims to develop methodologies and provide basic data to plan attractive spaces in light of the subconscious of consumers in the future by interpreting gaze data related to concentration.

광 마이크로폰의 주파수 응답특성 분석 (Analysis of Frequency Response Characteristics in Optical Microphone)

  • 본 논문에서는 광 마이크로폰의 주파수 응답특성 분석을 위해 시스템을 제안하고 구현하였다. 현재 사용되어지고 있는 캐패시턴스 마이크로폰과 광섬유 전송로형 광 마이크로폰(FOM)은 낮은 지향성과 크기, 무게, 비싼 가격 등에서 단점을 나타내고 있다. 반면 제안된 광 마이크로폰은 저가의 소자로 구성할 수 있으며, 소형, 경량화, 높은 지향성 등의 장점을 갖는다. 본 논문에서 제안하는 광 마이크로폰의 헤드 부는 인가된 음압에 따라서 전후로 움직이게 되어있으며, 반사판이 부착되어 있는 형태로 구성되어 있다. 광 헤드와 진동판사이의 거리를 변화시켜가며 응답특성을 측정하여 선형성과 민감도가 최대인 지점을 동작 점으로 결정하였다. 컴퓨터 기반 음향 측정/분석 프로그램인 Smaart Live와 USBPre를 사용하여 음향 신호의 주파수를 변화시켜 가며 구현한 광 마이크로폰의 광전 변환된 신호의 출력을 측정하였으며, 기존의 캐패시턴스 마이크로폰과 비교 분석하였다. 측정된 광 마이크로폰은 비교 콘덴서 마이크로폰과 거의 동일한 출력 특성을 나타내었으며, 주파수 대역폭은 약 ${\pm}3$[dB] 이내에서 300[Hz]-3[kHz] 정도의 성능을 나타내었다.

무인기의 자동 장주비행 및 8자 비행모드 설계 (Design of Auto Race-Track and Figure-8 Flight Mode for UAV)

  • 본 논문에서는 무인기의 다양한 비행모드 중 자동선회 모드의 확장을 위해 자동 장주비행 모드 (auto race-track mode)와 8자 비행모드 (Figure 8 mode)를 구현하기 위한 알고리즘과 비행로직을 제안하고, 이에 대한 시뮬레이션 평가를 수행하여 제안된 비행모드의 검증을 수행하였다. 일반적으로 자동선회 모드는 지정된 선회반경을 유지하는 원선회 비행 (circle flight)을 지칭하게 되는데, 자동 장주비행 모드와 8자 비행 모드를 구현하게 되면 이착륙 안정성 증대와 수행 임무영역을 확장할 수 있게 된다. 이러한 자동 장주비행 모드와 8자 비행모드의 구현을 위한 알고리즘과 비행체의 위치 및 선회방향에 관계없이 비행모드를 구성할 수 있는 비행로직 구현을 정리하였으며, 제안된 알고리즘과 비행로직의 검증을 위해 중형급 무인기를 대상으로 시뮬레이션을 수행하였다.

평면도파로형 $2\times32$ 광커플러의 설계와 제작에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Design and Fabrication of the Planar Light Waveguide type $2\times32$ Optical Coupler)

  • $2\times32$ 커플러는 마하젠더 간섭기와 Y분기 커플러로 구성하여 제작하였다. 커플러의 설계를 위해 유효굴절율법을 이용하여 3차원의 도파로 구조를 2차원 구조로 대체하였고 2차원 유한차분 빔전파법을 이용하여 도파로 구조에 대한 최적의 설계요소를 찾아내었다. 전산모사에 의하여 두 도파로 간의 높이가 $43.6\mu\textrm{m}$(경로차 $0.668\mu\textrm{m}$)로 제작한 $2\times32$ 커플러가 가장 우수한 특성을 나타냈다. 코아층의 식각 특성에 있어서 산화실리콘과 마스크인 알루미늄의 식각비는 30:1이었고 코아의 식각률은 2600${\AA}$/min이었다. 식각 균일도는 $\pm$5% 내외로 균일하였다. $2\times32$ 커프럴의 삽입 손실은 최대 손실이 19.2dB 이하였고 균일성은 2dB이였다.

진료과목에 따른 병원 웹사이트의 의료정보 품질과 사용성, 태도, 만족의 구조적 관계에 관한 연구 (Study on Structural Relationship of Medical Information Quality, Usability, Attitude and Satisfaction of Hospital Web site According to Medical Examination and Treatment Subjects)

  • The Internet marketing of hospital is being considered as a strategic requirement that can satisfy the customers. Therefore, it is very important to understand the effects of the medical information on the Internet on the actual consumers. In this study, the paths through which the attitude and satisfaction of the medical information consumers that visit hospital web site are formed for the medical information through the quality of the medical information on the Internet and usability of hospital web site were examined respectively according to the medical examination and treatment subjects that respectively deal with medical acts and cosmetic acts through light metabolism recovery. The usability of hospital web site, rather than medical information quality, had positive effects on the attitudes toward the medical information distributed in the corresponding web site and the satisfaction of use of hospital web site in the case of visitors of the hospital web site for the medical examination and treatment subjects of essential medical examination and treatment and emergency medical treatment, and, on the other hand, the result of analyzing the path of the medical examination and treatment subjects of cosmetics and functional improvement revealed that the medical information quality had positive effects on the medical information attitudes and the usage satisfaction of hospital web site. Accordingly, the attitudes toward the medical information distributed through the web site by the visitors of hospital web site is formed from the quality of medical information and web site usability, and, ultimately, they become generally satisfied with the hospital web site. Such process is revealed different1y according to the medical examination and treatment subjects for which consumers desire to obtain information.

영흥 에너지 테마파크 조경설계 (Energy Theme Park Design in Yeong-Heung Island)

  • The Korea South-East Power Co., Ltd.(KOSEP) held a design competition for Energy Theme Park at Yeong-Heung power plant in October, 2004. The site is located in 980-1 Oe-ri, Yeong-Heung myun, OngJin gun, Incheon City and has an area of $54,450m^2$. Design objectives of KOSEP were to make environmentally sustainable space, to build a symbolic and gathering place for community members and visitors, to make a tourist spot of Yeong-Heung Island linked with adjacent sight spots in OngJin gun, and to elevate an identity and status of the KOSEP by creating a landscape correspondent to the concept of the building design. The spatial concept of this project was developed by expressing a circular course of energy, named 'energy circle' and accounting for principles of energy generation. By interpreting 'energy circle' and principles of energy generation, and applying it to the site, the design met the various desires of the KOSEP. This design consists of seven theme spaces; the future energy plaza, the wind plaza, the light plaza, the thermal power plaza, a water strider dam, a ecological pond and the stratum plaza. These theme spaces are consecutively placed along the circular path which surrounds the public information building and to represent how power plants generate energy in each space and diverse design techniques and special effects are used.

병원 옥상정원의 이용후 평가 - 서울아산병원을 대상으로 - (The Post-occupancy Evaluation of Roofgarden at Hospital - A Case Study of Asan Medical Center -)

  • Rooftop greenery has been used as a way to solve urban environmental problems by creating green space in densely populated cities. This study was carried out to suggest more effective designs for roof-garden at hospitals through a post-occupancy evaluation. The roofgarden of Asan Medical Center was evaluated with regards to setting, proximate environmental context, users, and design activity by a multi-method including plan investigations, observations, in-depth interviews and questionnaires. The results are summarized as follows; the users' main activities included resting, walking, and talking. A number of users were observed at shaded spaces sitting on such things as benches, pergolas, and shelters. The satisfaction of the users showed high satisfaction level except in the amount of shade, facilities, and shelter. The variables affecting a overall satisfaction were ‘accessibility’, ‘safety’, ‘quality of surroundings’, and ‘suitability for speculation’. By comparing the design concept with using pattern, designer's intention was not reflected sufficiently in several aspects such as ‘event deck for therapy programs’, ‘grove and path’, and ‘low planters’. This study suggests some design implications; it is necessary to furnish shaded sitting places for passive behaviors and pathways for walking or a light exercise. A wind-break wall with glass windows could widen the users' views in a limited space. Natural shade like tree shade or pergola are more desirable than artificial shades. As for the vertical location of the roofgarden, the middle floor could be better than top area for accessibility. Characteristics of building and users should be considered in detail to provide distinct spaces. Proper technical standards for the greening of artificial ground should be established.
